Located in a little shopping center. The location and size are deceiving. Have made numerous visits to dine in. The place can get fairly busy at the times. Place maintains cleanliness well. Most trips we are greeted and seated promptly. Water is offered and drink orders are taken. If you are ready to order most staff is in tune to take the order. I have tried the twists, Alfred, Sonoma sandwich, BBQ chicken, and buffalo ranch to name a few. Food comes out hot, seasoned, and appropriately sized. Staff is quick to refills on water and check for additional needs such as a box to go leftovers. Check and bill settlement are generally quick. Good: food, service, and ambiance. Bad: not much. Overall four stars for consistent food and service. I visit occasionally. read more

I am very particular when it comes to pizza places that represent themselves as a real Italian Eatery. You know what I mean you show up expecting to eat a wonderful pasta dish only to discover that all the meatballs taste like teriyaki. NOT THIS PLACE! It is the real deal and when you leave you will be more than satisfied. They have a diverse menu and the food is wonderful. My only reason for not giving it a full five stars is that I have eaten here five times and two occasions I was disappointed with the server because they seemed distracted and simply did not respond to our requests. The manager saw this and took care of us but that is the only negative remark that I can make (other than I hope after my critique there are no servers that are sent to Siberia). If it's possible to be perfectly in sync with someone you've never met, over the phone, then I'm #winning for sure! Our order consisted of one BBQ burger & one Primo Burger & Bleu, both with fries. We asked for medium rare. They quoted 45 minutes...delivered in 20. Yes, 20 minutes and everything was cooked to perfection! I just wanted to give a review of the actual food here. I understand someone leaving a bad review for bad service. But at least they should try the food. I must also say the service for this place isn't the best. I will give them the benefit of the doubt because they just opened and haven't found their groove yet. We were greeted nicely and sat down to eat. I ordered a pizza and my wife ordered a burger. The pizza was just okay. My wife pointed out that their wasn't much pizza sauce on it. The sauce didn't cover the entire pizza where the cheese ended. We asked the server if that is how it is generally made. She said no. It seemed like they didn't spread the sauce out. My wife's burger on the other hand was amazing! It was so meaty and the taste was superb. Strange that a place with a beautiful pizza oven would have a much better tasting burger! I come here fairly often as its near my office. I tend to eat myself into a food rut at lunch. Same place, same thing. That's no problem here as there are lots of choices. Primos is the type of place to find suited professionals or construction guys. It's good and friendly and a great neighborhood place to eat. Lunch specials are exceptional value and the pasta or pizza choices can't be beat and include a salad for $6.99!! Since its New Years resolution time, try the Asian salad. Not boring at all. The food here is so,damn,good! We ate here twice in one week and each time I was happy. First time had the creamy pesto tortilini, second time had the primo de lussi burger. We entered Primo around 11:30am, intent on an Italian-style lunch. Recommended by a trustworthy friend, her advice was to try the pasta. Primo offers $7.99 lunch specials that include spaghetti with various sauces, two-topping small pizza and several other tasty choices. We decided to split a spaghetti Bolognese and a pizza. One of us chose soup (Minestrone) while I chose a salad. Soup was very good, says my partner. My salad was also good. I chose Balsamic from several dressing offerings. We didn't wait long for the entree. The Bolognese was quite good and the serving was more quantity than expected. The pizza, however, was a little disappointing. Although we ordered the thin crust style, the pie that arrived was fairly thick. I thought it needed more everything: sauce, sausage and mushrooms. But it tasted better than many pies I've consumed. When I asked the waiter if he had served the thin crust version, he took a look and said "oops." I though I stopped him from making a whole new pizza, only to be surprised when he later presented the bill with a thin-crust pizza in a box for later consumption. 5 stars to Tom our waitexpert. In fact, Tom's service and attitude are a great reason to return. When he spotted me working out a drip on my shirt (a bad habit), he swiftly produced a glass of soda water and napkin without being asked. Now, that's attentive service. For $30 I received a small tasteless salad and a pizza that looks and tastes like frozen cardboard. I have no clue how this place gets any stars at all. Went here after a baseball game on Friday. Place was packed but the owner helped us get a table with minimal wait. While we were waiting, we got a beer at the bar. Guy who served us couldn't be nicer. Owner got us seated and told me their post popular pizza (suprima). Food was great, pizza was a great recommendation. I have to say though, putting aside the food, the service is what really impressed me. Everyone was so nice and accommodating. They were seriously busy, but everyone we came in contact with was smiling and nice, not just polite. You can find good food a lot of places, but food this good, with service workers that excellent is hard to find. I will definitely be back when I'm in the area and will absolutely recommend this place to everyone. Rad little joint for nights when the thought of eating at yet another cookie-cutter overpriced chain restaurant makes you want to staple your own eyelashes to the carpet. Love the small outdoor area when the weather is nice. Routinely have lunch here and always get away with spending less than $10 and often (ok fine, often-ish) having leftovers. They deliver as well, and are one of only a handful of places in Rocklin that do. This is invaluable to me when I'm wrestling two kids, a dog and my own Friday-night I-don't-wanna-cook-or-drive-or-wear-pants drama. So Primo it is. The garlic fries are every bit as delicious as they are stinky. If your after-dinner plans involve fending off vampires of any sort, these are the fries for you. Go get 'em, killer. read more

Being new to Rocklin, I've been wandering around to a lot of restaurants based off recommendations from other people. I'm glad I found this one. We went here for lunch. The Onion Rings app had good bread to onion ratio and cooked well. That was a good start. I had the Chicken Ranch and the wife had the Lasagna and both were delicious. A lot of stuff is made fresh in the restaurant and it was full by the time we left for lunch. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming with some nice aesthetics and even with it full, it wasn't overly loud. We are adding this to our cycle of restaurants. Our group was comprised of adults and very-hungry (and growing) teenage boys that were playing in a basketball tournament in Rocklin. We had reserved the patio but due to the 110+ weather at 6:30 pm, the owner accommodated our group indoors to enjoy the AC. The patio does have an large fan unit that helped a lot, by the way, for those that decided to stay outdoors. All our boys were happy with their orders (pizza, wings, tenders). The fried artichoke hearts were delicious. And to quench our thirst, nothing better than a cold beer. They have a great selection on tap. Highly recommend this place based on food quality, friendliness of all servers, attentiveness of owner and all-around great atmosphere. read more

My boyfriend and I moved to Rocklin about 1 year ago, and the people in the leasing office at our townhouse complex said there was a very good restaurant just up the block, so we decided to give it a try. We were not disappointed by Primo's at all!! We love the atmosphere, that it's a 2 minute walk from our townhouse, and that the food is amazing!! We eat here at least twice a month, and it has become our "go to" restaurant. The burgers are AMAZING, pizza's are freshly made and have a wonderful thick crust, and the pastas are simply delicious!! I would recommend Primo's to anyone!! The garlic cheesy twists are a must try, and they have a great wine selection, too! read more

Bravo Primo! Food and ambiance are VERY good. I've tried a number of different dishes and they're very well crafted with quality ingredients. The restaurant is located in an older "strip mall" sandwiched between a liquor store and a great coffee place. Remember, your parents always told you to NOT judge a book by its cover. Once you open to the first page, you'll love this place! Rula (one of the owners) is delightful. She takes the time to get to know patrons and makes you feel like you're part of her extended family. What an amazing place!! Tonight was my first time at Primos and I cannot wait to come back!! We had very attentive and wonderful service from Shelby. I tried the Hook and Ladder red blend and it was so delicious. We started with the artichoke dip and the jalapeño poppers and both appetizers were absolutely delightful. For dinner I ordered the thunder burger and wow.... incredible!! We finished off the night with the brownie sundae. This place completely exceeded any expectations I had and I am so excited to try more items on the menu. We also got to chat with the owner Sam and he was great, helping greet, seat guests, bus tables, and still greeting every table with a smile. I've been here several times on the recommendation of a friend and it was always good, especially the pizza. I couldn't wait to bring my parents there which I did this weekend. Wr ordered a large Supreme Primo. Was really disappointed. I could tell it was over cooked when I saw the outside of the crust. It was really dark colored. When I pulled a piece off the pizza tray it's usually pretty soft and cooked perfectly. This pizza was pretty well almost burnt throughout the entire bottom. I didn't want to make a big deal of it since I go there a lot and it seemed like they had some staffing issues as well. Hopefully management figures it out. read more

We had heard that the owners of this restaurant used to own the Pete's in town, and we had loved that place so we decided to try this place out. We walked in and were seated immediately, but beware, the seating is really tight and you'll feel very cramped. In fact, you'll probably be able to hear everyone's conversations, so if that will bug you then you won't be very happy. BUT, we go to restaurants for the food, and the food here is DELICIOUS. Anyway, we quickly got drinks and dinner salads (which were pretty good. I mean, it's a dinner salad, you can't get too fancy with it). I got a small pizza with pepperoni, linguisa, black olives, and sausage and it was so tasty! Definitely will rival the other pizza places in town because this was REALLY GOOD! We also had the Pasta Toscana which tasted like it was missing the olive oil. After our waitress brought that, it tasted really good too. In short, the food was amazing, just like Pete's, and the owners are so kind. It's awesome to go somewhere and have the owner remember you after a few visits. We will certainly be back! 4 stars for the food and -1 for the fact that it was so loud and cramped. read more

We love Primos and want to support local business but it seems there's been an astronomical price increase since our last order. A Thunder Burger is now $17.95 on door dash without fries!!?? So when I went to my cart for a family of 3 and saw the total was $75+, I sadly realized we would no longer be ordering from this establishment. Please convince me your burgers (awesome as they are) justify a $18 price tag. Hopefully there are other local favorites that haven't jacked up their prices as well. read more

These guys make the best pizza in Rocklin/Roseville. When we have a hankering for pizza, I will drive all the way from West Roseville and pick up pizza here. I wish this was here back when I lived right next door!! We moved only two miles away so still relatively close. This place is ALWAYS packed and for a good reason. Great food!!! I love how the owner/and I believe chef is always there. Now the crapy waitstaff is my only reason for not giving a 5 star rating. One time we were denied the happy hour prices for wine because it was 5:15.. she said happy hour ends at 5:00... it wasn't until we were nearly finished did we see the sign that says happy hour till 6:00 (duh nobody ends happy hour at 5:00) The waitstaff also seem to "take their time" in ever getting to us. What really got me one time was after I finished my burger (I am a very petite person and can never eat an entire burger and fries..) the waiter said very rudely, "was it awful or something?" I didn't know how to respond but no, its actually my favorite burger... Ok enough about the staffs short comings.. besides the owner usually delivers our food himself which I think says a lot. They have GREAT prices for wine- we are actually able to order more than one without breaking the bank. The pizza is superb. My husband said their lasagna was the best he had ever had. I usually get the blue cheese burger which is always wonderful. I also must add that the atmosphere is just so comfortable and enjoyable. Very small place, yet cozy. So whenever we want to go out and enjoy ourselves without splurging (like at Paul Martins, Crush..etc) we go to Primo and always say thank goodness we did. Love that Primo. read more
