Overall, I try to be fair in my reviews because I understand not everything is going to go how it should. With barbershops in Denver 9/10 are a miss and this place is no exception. However, because there really aren't any good ones I take the lesser evil and get it cut here when I'm in town and in a dire need for one. Today, I should of just fly back home to get it done and come back. Usually the owner Antawn will cut me but he was not in, so it was just the luck of the draw and I got a new barber by the name of Dee. He had only been at the shop for 2 months and I kinda knew it was gonna be rough. I was assisted promptly which is an upside. As I walked up, I informed the barber I wanted just a mid-fade and to leave the top. By time I sat down the barber already had forgot what I had asked for. So I repeated myself again and he began cutting. About 3/4 of the way through he started to do my beard and mustache (which is not included unless you request it) and before I could tell him no thank you, he already had shaved off my mustache. joy. Then he proceeded to say well usually it's included. In all the years as an adult, the barber will ask if they are touching the facial hair or not. So I stated on your price sign it has two distinct price points for just the head and getting a lineup with it. After, I said that he pretty much just shut up. Upon finishing he let me look at it and as expected the taper on the sides was uneven as far as shading and the line up crooked. Knowing that telling him would result in him trying to fix it and make it worst, I just said okay. Paid him for his time and moved on. I will not recommend them nor be back. I will try and find another barber else where it may just be a little better but I'm not holding out hope. read more

Don't get there at 3:15pm... they'll turn you away - In a rude way, especially some black lady. The place was empty and all chairs were available today 28JUL19.. I simply asked if they'll still taking customers and she responded - WE ARE CLOSED.. so I said.. you close at 4pm.. her and her entourage had this look like I was wrong. Instead they could of been polite and told me - we currently do not have barbers but if you come tomorrow morning we would gladly help you and your son. It's ALL GOOD!! That place will not earn me as their customer, nor will I recommend them to others. Thanks to her.. Good luck to the other customers. read more

Great service! I was a walk-in and literally every barber greeted me. I felt very welcomed. The barber I had was excellent. He was able to cut my hair in between client appointments. He was very cordial and proficient. I got a haircut and face line up for $30. They do accept cash app. I would come here again anytime I'm in town! read more

I visited Prime Time Barbers in Aurora. Now here's a clincher, I called @ 8:26 am and the owner, Antoine "Prime Time", answered on the second ring. I've seen a few Houston barbers with late morning starts or by appointments only. He told me to just come right in and he'd take care of me. It's a large barber shop in a shopping strip with black and white checkerboard floor tiles, large entry windows, 2 waiting areas and I counted 6 barbers with clients and additional barber stations. In addition, his shop was clean and all the barbers had a great rapport with each other, clientele, and walk-ins alike. Student discounts with an ID on Wednesdays and reasonable rates. Definitely a winner in my book!! read more

Made an appt through Facebook and was seen right on time with Reno who did an EXCELLENT job. It's great to sit with a barber who puts in effort to make sure the cut is PERFECT and the fade is FRESH!! Best cut I've gotten in years. Been a while since I gotten a haircut by someone else since covid and the fro had to go. had a small wait time due to being a walk in but that's not biggie. First time here took about 15 minutes to get a haircut with five barbers working. Jazzy was my barber, like any other Barber he asked exactly what I wanted, I told him I wanted a short fade with a 1 on top and don't take the line too high. But once he started lining me it started to hurt a lot. I was wondering why he needed four separate passes to go over the line but after seeing the mirror I understood, because he just couldn't get it straight. I asked him if he was going to fade the back, he said yes but all he did was line the back and taper the bottom. I paid $20 and to come home and immediately redo my line but it was so painful because I was so cut by his clippers being too sharp that I was unable to do much. Taking a shower really revealed how much damage was done to my head because the stinging in the shower was horrible. Some people asked me why did you pay the barber, I just wanted to get out of chair because I was in so much pain. I figure a Yelp post would do more harm than anything I could have said to him in the chair. I really hope I don't have any permanent scars because I was still bleeding after I get home. read more

Antwaine was a great barber! I came in for my first razor head cut since my spouse n i moved to Colorado on labor day. He shaved my head without nicking my head not once with the blade. I was very disappointed with this establishment. When I first walked in it was with great welcoming. But after sitting there for over an hour with my son not being helped. There were two barbers just sitting and the other's playing a game. The only person that acknowledged the fact that I was still waiting was the guy in the first chair to the left and the only person to speak. They act as if they do not want to cut kids. I would never recommend this barbershop. Very unprofessional!!! Why become a barber if you don't want to cut little boys!!! These boys grow up to become men!!! read more
