Do not take your car here…read more TLDR: Young's Auto Body & Collision had my car for 23 days for a side-view mirror replacement, "accidentally" ordered the wrong/broken part for my car twice before getting the right one, charged me over $1800 for the fix when the part only costs $350 online, and tried to BS me with a bunch of jargon when I asked questions. I got into a small car accident where my passenger side mirror was damaged and a very small scratch was left on the car door. I decided to go through insurance and that is the only reason that I chose this shop, because they were on my insurance's list and it was near my house. I called them before bringing my car in to ask how long the repair would take, and they told me, "up to five days," which I thought was kind of a lot for just a mirror (I've gotten it fixed in a couple HOURS at another shop for the same issue), but I brought it in regardless. They had my car for a total of three weeks. First, I'd like to clarify that I was almost always the one calling THEM for updates on my car - they did not communicate with me or keep me updated on things. The first time I called for an update, they told me, "Oh, shoot, we ordered the wrong mirror for your car by accident. We're going to have to order a new one now." The second time I called for an update, they told me, "Oh, the second mirror came and it's broken, so we're going to have to order a third one." The third time I called for an update, they said "Oh, your car has been done. We didn't call you?" They tried to make me feel stupid, saying "Maybe check your voicemail..." I told them that I hadn't received any calls, and that I'd come pick up my car the next morning. But no more than 10 mins later, they called me back saying, "Wait, actually, the new mirror hasn't come yet, so your car isn't done, never mind." Three weeks later, I was finally able to pick up my car. They charged me/insurance $1800 for the repairs. (Again, a new mirror is $350 online.) When I looked over my itemized receipt, they had charged me for parts of my car that absolutely did not need to be replaced, such as the front bumper cover?? When I asked them questions about this, the woman I spoke to had absolutely no idea. She started making things up, to the effect of, "Oh, well, we had to take your car apart since there was a scratch on the door, and sometimes things break when we do that, so we had to order replacements for the parts that broke." (Note: there was absolutely no reason to "take my car apart." The scratch on my door was TINY - thankfully, I have a picture of it.) I told her that if the shop broke a part, then they should be the ones to eat the cost. She said, "Well, insurance usually pays for that stuff..." Please take your business elsewhere. These people are poor communicators, disorganized, and will try to get as much money out of you as possible. If you ask questions, they will try to make you feel stupid with jargon, particularly if you're a woman. Do not support these people.

I dropped off my car at 9 AM and Edgar, the owner was kind & dropped me back off at my home during my service so that I could work from home for the rest of the day. Then when the car was ready for pick up Edgar came back to my house and picked me up. Such amazing & generous customer service. Even if the staff was not available to do a pick up and drop off, they also offered a rideshare service if needed. This is a huge lifesaver for me and super accommodating of my chaotic work schedule. I always feel safe in my vehicle after picking up my car for maintenance. I know I have a reliable vehicle when my car is serviced here. I also love that they use different apps and technology to explain the services, show the repairs needed or maintenance required options for your car. Jose and Andrew at the front of house of the shop are amazing and also make the whole experience convenient and a breeze. I have also called the shop for other referral services. They referred me to a local glass shop and I had an exceptional experience. Friendly staff, timely repair. On quality, I have some…read moreconcerns... The pain match was amazing, no difference between the replaced door and the rest of the car. During the initial review of the car, before repair, I specifically pointed out everything I saw, and thought they were taking notes. When I received the car back, one are I had pointed out had not been repaired (alignment between two pieces), so had to go back for them to fix (didn't require paining, just adjustment, so done in few minutes). Not sure how they missed that as it was easy to see and I had specifically pointed it out. Wondering how they check the car before returning to the customer. The second issue was that they had to replace a wheel that had been scratched. when I received the car back, the steering wheel wasn't straight. From experience, that should be an easy fix (again, how did they miss that during quality check before returning the car??). They took the car to whoever did the alignment, and they couldn't fix it; they said that if they straghten the steering wheel, they lose alignment and if they align the steering wheel is not centered. Carstar simply gave up and said they couldn't fix it. I know a place where I take my cars for alignment, so I asked Carstar to pay foir it. They asked for an alignment quote first, but that means at least two trips, so I went ahead and aligned it (this place said it was easy and very standard, steering wheel is now good and the car aligned). Sent the invoice to Carstar and I don't really have high expectations on getting this reimbursed, after the slow communication we have seen after the car was return upon completing the repairs. My opinion only: it seems thet adertise a lot about the lifetime warranty and how great they are on that, but in reality they drag their feet, they lack a good quality control, and some of the shops they use for "other things" (like alignment in this case) are not the best at what they do.

I took my car to CARSTAR where the work started on Tuesday morning when I dropped my car off. They completed the work by Friday afternoon. After inspection the paint matched perfectly, I couldn't even see where they started painting and the original paint stopped. The dent repair was immaculate, I couldn't even see where the original damage was. The staff was super friendly and accommodating even with me picking up my car late on Friday. They were in constant contact with me, notifying my when my car was progressing to the next "stage" in the repair. The only thing that I wished would have been different was the interior was kinda dirty, but maybe body repair shops do not consider cleanup as part of the work? If that is the case, no worries. Nothing was stained, just had to wipe some surfaces down and do some quick vacuuming. Overall I will take my car back to this body shop. Great work all!

I was incredibly impressed by the expertise and troubleshooting diligence exhibited by Kermit and the team at SHA. As a female, I usually hate speaking with auto shops because you either get dismissed or talked down to. Quite the contrary! Kermit walked me through the issue, was transparent along the way, showed me photos to review the work that had been done, and exhibited excellent customer service.
