Had to have a third party deliver that cost me extra money, had to carry it up the staircases myself AND told me I might have to put the base together myself! This all would have been included in my original delivery of my PLUSH mattress. And now I may need to go buy a mattress topper to even sleep on this FIRM mattress they delivered to me and SPEND EVEN MORE MONEY. Moral of the story- Mattress firm is awful. Save your money and more importantly your sanity and go to Nebraska Furniture Mart. This place is awful.

Went to Bob's this weekend for the block party/meet and greet with Denny Hamlin! All the staff…read more(either at the Block party or inside the store) were wonderful; they made sure everyone attending was welcomed, gave us water multiple times, allowed us to use the restroom (without losing our place in line), and provided banter that let us know they were as excited for the event as the fans were! Overall just helpful and kind folk working! The block party itself was awesome, they had Betty Rae's on staff (shoutout David who worked the ice cream truck) serving free ice cream, lots of giveaway merch, the Bob's cup car was there and a wonderful site, and had a ps5 running with display furniture to try out! Once Denny got there, the staff made sure the line moved smoothly, while giving everyone a chance to have a memorable chat/signing with Denny! The collaboration with JGR staff and Bob's staff was wonderful as well, everyone involved made sure the fans were treated well and enjoyed the event! Mike (who I believe was in charge of the event for the store, was in particular a wonderful person to chat with! If I need furniture in the future, this event left quite an impression, and I'll be sure to visit Bob's again!

I have two experiences with Bed Mart…read more My first experience was in 2009 where I purchased a new mattress and headboard. The employees were helpful, though I was also put off by the trash talking that was geared towards PayLess Furniture. This experience went off without a hitch, fast delivery, fast set up of my new furniture. No problems whatsoever! I still have the mattress and headboard and they're still fantastic. My second experience was in 2011. My partner and I wished to purchase a new bed. My old mattress was great, but we wanted something even better! We dealt with one salesman who was polite, knowledgeable, friendly, and at the perfect level of being helpful without being pushy or overbearing. He knew exactly when to walk away and when to come back and chat with us again. He was great! However, we weren't ready to purchase that day because we wished to check around at other furniture places to make comparable prices and quality checklists. He gave us a short list of prices on the mattress, headboard and frame and we went on our way quite happy with the experience. We came back another time and we were fully committed to purchase everything. Sadly, the mattress we wanted was sold out, but the salesguy said they might be able to order another one. The woman who works there jumped in and said that was NOT possible and all that was left was the floor model. She then took over and wrote down a quote--the mattress was the same price as our last visit but this time it was for the floor model. I said this wasn't good enough, I expected a discount on floor models but the woman would not budge an inch. She said she paid full price for the mattress, lowered the price, and if she sold it for less than the quote she gave me she'd lose money. To add further insult to her refusal to negotiate, she also informed us the price labeled on the headboard we were interested in was wrong and it should have been $50 more expensive. I'm not sure how that's my problem, the price is clearly marked on the furniture itself so if it's wrong you shouldn't turn around and try to make me pay for your mistake. However, I doubt the labeled price has changed since my visit. If you plan to go to Bed Mart, don't speak to the older lady (the boss?) who works there. If it hadn't been for her terrible behavior--which I would describe as dirty car salesperson tactics, then we would have walked out with a new bed and headboard set. The other salesman did absolutely nothing wrong and if they work on commission then it's unfortunate that the woman cost him a sale.

I called you 10 minutes after the deliverymen left to report two big problems with one of the couches -- problems THEY should have caught before leaving: 1) A very prominent hole/tear at the top of the right arm. 2) A sharp tack or staple protruding from the face of same arm. (Also very prominent .... and dangerous.) Far from apologetic, you copped a nasty attitude and acted as though this was MY problem (well ..... I guess it was). You said if (IF?!) I wanted the couch replaced, it would have to be done TODAY. Because, even though I reported these problems IMMEDIATELY, you said I would be deemed responsible for these defects if the change-out was not done TODAY. First of all, there is no way anyone would look at these obvious defects and think I could have had anything to do with them. How am I going to get an INTERNAL staple/tack to puncture the covering and protrude from the couch. And when you see the manufacturing defect on top of the arm, it will be quite clear to you that a manufacturing defect is the only thing it could possibly be. Forget an apology or some simple common courtesy .... for someone who spent over $1,000 at your store. But where is the regard for my time, my convenience ..... for my TODAY? I already took the entire morning off work for this delivery. I work 70 hrs/week at three jobs to support my family. I am 100% self-employed which means No Work = No Pay. I had jobs scheduled for this afternoon, but now I will miss those hours as well because the change-out, you said, must be done TODAY. So, in addition to pissing off my own customers, today has cost me about $300 in lost income. Them's some expensive couches. Finally, you charged me almost DOUBLE what your employee Linda told me I would be charged for the transport of my old couches. (And I tipped your deliverymen very generously on top of that, despite this dirty dealing.) You told me three days ago that the deliverymen would have to assess the job when they got to my home and determine the charge accordingly. But in fact YOU had already told them what to charge me before they ever got to my place -- again, almost double the charge I was quoted by your employee. Some "Discount"! ..... Not happy.

While I'm partial to my home location within The Colony, TX, the Legend's NFM store has all that I need in terms of electronics, appliances, furniture, and even chocolate (there is a See's Candies in-store). Not only that, there is plenty of other conveniences here as well. My favorite is the ease of parking (tons of parking spaces), along with the roving security guards that patrol the area. The latter is especially appreciated, considering that I was the victim of a smash & grab vehicle break-in while being parked in a retail area (not this one). In addition, I'm able to make payments on my NFM account at any cash register. The customer service at this location is very good, and quite professional (NFM hires really good folks here). Overall, I'll keep spending that $$$ here.

So I, a woman who has broken her back multiple times, had to wrestle the chairs two feet so they could put the new ones where I wanted them. We spent a substantial amount of money on new furniture and the guys can't move a recliner 2 feet with paying more money. Bad customer service and GREEDY company... I am not a happy camper and will take my money elsewhere. You shamelessly exploit the elderly and people with disabilities who cannot necessarily move their own furniture... that is GREEDY and it is discriminatory!
