They both greeted us when we walked in, and Daniel helped us around the store and he was just lovely- informative and knowledgeable, but not high pressure or annoying. This dude knows his mattresses! He had us test out different thicknesses, brands, styles, etc. We learned that this is called a 'clearance center' because, while they do sell brand new current model mattresses, this is also where returned mattresses are stocked if a customer decided they didn't like their new mattresses and returned it- new mattresses are sold with a 120 day return guarantee, so while the 'gently used' mattresses aren't very old and weren't liquidated from a hotel or gotten off someone's lawn or something, I still wasn't comfortable with a used, however gently, mattress. Well I was in luck because they also stock brand-new unsold merchandise. So the new bed I liked in the store for $1200 would be only $600- box spring included- if I got the same model, but just 1 year older. And since it's new, I'll get that 120 day return guarantee too. I couldn't believe I could get a King size Hampton & Rhodes pillow top for only $600- wow! They will deliver and set-up for $50. They also sell a variety of frames & box springs separately. A Yelp check-in gets you a free twin bed frame with a $499 purchase. If you need a new mattress, I would HIGHLY recommend going here. It's honestly the absolute best mattress buying experience I've ever had.

The sales people were both aggressive and clueless at the same time. This happened several times before I just went and did bought my choices online. Once the furniture arrived, all items were either damaged or looked like a knock off version of what I chose in store. I am currently trying to return these items and I have been on the phone with a total of 8 people today for more than 4 hours. None of whom have given me the same information and no one was able to actually "help" me until the last agent and even that was excruciating to deal with. I am still only able to return one of my 5 items and was not given any information as to why. I was simply told I have to wait for a vendor to approve a return for the remaining items. I'm assuming they're delaying this until my first payment posts. Truly an insane experience. Avoid at all costs.

I have two experiences with Bed Mart…read more My first experience was in 2009 where I purchased a new mattress and headboard. The employees were helpful, though I was also put off by the trash talking that was geared towards PayLess Furniture. This experience went off without a hitch, fast delivery, fast set up of my new furniture. No problems whatsoever! I still have the mattress and headboard and they're still fantastic. My second experience was in 2011. My partner and I wished to purchase a new bed. My old mattress was great, but we wanted something even better! We dealt with one salesman who was polite, knowledgeable, friendly, and at the perfect level of being helpful without being pushy or overbearing. He knew exactly when to walk away and when to come back and chat with us again. He was great! However, we weren't ready to purchase that day because we wished to check around at other furniture places to make comparable prices and quality checklists. He gave us a short list of prices on the mattress, headboard and frame and we went on our way quite happy with the experience. We came back another time and we were fully committed to purchase everything. Sadly, the mattress we wanted was sold out, but the salesguy said they might be able to order another one. The woman who works there jumped in and said that was NOT possible and all that was left was the floor model. She then took over and wrote down a quote--the mattress was the same price as our last visit but this time it was for the floor model. I said this wasn't good enough, I expected a discount on floor models but the woman would not budge an inch. She said she paid full price for the mattress, lowered the price, and if she sold it for less than the quote she gave me she'd lose money. To add further insult to her refusal to negotiate, she also informed us the price labeled on the headboard we were interested in was wrong and it should have been $50 more expensive. I'm not sure how that's my problem, the price is clearly marked on the furniture itself so if it's wrong you shouldn't turn around and try to make me pay for your mistake. However, I doubt the labeled price has changed since my visit. If you plan to go to Bed Mart, don't speak to the older lady (the boss?) who works there. If it hadn't been for her terrible behavior--which I would describe as dirty car salesperson tactics, then we would have walked out with a new bed and headboard set. The other salesman did absolutely nothing wrong and if they work on commission then it's unfortunate that the woman cost him a sale.

I called you 10 minutes after the deliverymen left to report two big problems with one of the couches -- problems THEY should have caught before leaving: 1) A very prominent hole/tear at the top of the right arm. 2) A sharp tack or staple protruding from the face of same arm. (Also very prominent .... and dangerous.) Far from apologetic, you copped a nasty attitude and acted as though this was MY problem (well ..... I guess it was). You said if (IF?!) I wanted the couch replaced, it would have to be done TODAY. Because, even though I reported these problems IMMEDIATELY, you said I would be deemed responsible for these defects if the change-out was not done TODAY. First of all, there is no way anyone would look at these obvious defects and think I could have had anything to do with them. How am I going to get an INTERNAL staple/tack to puncture the covering and protrude from the couch. And when you see the manufacturing defect on top of the arm, it will be quite clear to you that a manufacturing defect is the only thing it could possibly be. Forget an apology or some simple common courtesy .... for someone who spent over $1,000 at your store. But where is the regard for my time, my convenience ..... for my TODAY? I already took the entire morning off work for this delivery. I work 70 hrs/week at three jobs to support my family. I am 100% self-employed which means No Work = No Pay. I had jobs scheduled for this afternoon, but now I will miss those hours as well because the change-out, you said, must be done TODAY. So, in addition to pissing off my own customers, today has cost me about $300 in lost income. Them's some expensive couches. Finally, you charged me almost DOUBLE what your employee Linda told me I would be charged for the transport of my old couches. (And I tipped your deliverymen very generously on top of that, despite this dirty dealing.) You told me three days ago that the deliverymen would have to assess the job when they got to my home and determine the charge accordingly. But in fact YOU had already told them what to charge me before they ever got to my place -- again, almost double the charge I was quoted by your employee. Some "Discount"! ..... Not happy.
