Yay-- so happy I found an amazing butcher shop in my neighborhood! They make some DELICIOUS…read moresausages. I wanted to make pizza so I got the spicy Italian & pepperoni sausages for it, and both of them were soooo tasty. Three sausages + the $6 basil pesto totaled a little over $18. Of course $12 for three sausages isn't particularly sustainable for a lot of us, but when it's a special occasion or you're wanting to treat yourself, it's very worth it :) The staff is great, and the place is located in an area a lot of parking and close to balboa. The basil pesto was also really yummy, I added a little lemon to it because I love a little more citrus in mine and it really made all the flavors pop.

Siesel's Meats is the original location if you love going to Iowa Farms in Mission Valley. These…read moretwo locations will be our go to for getting high quality butchered meats. We typically go to Iowa Farms since it's close to us and we're familiar with the location. We love getting the potato salad and bbq baked beans (prepackaged) sides there when we stop in, but if you're not early on the weekend, they usually run out. So we decided since we'd be in the Bay Park area, we'll check out the original location, Siesel's. Glad we did! I wanted to make a slow cooker brisket one weekend, so it was perfect. Siesel's is a bit larger than Iowa Farms and feels a bit more open. Same great cow awaiting outside the store. But they have a whole deli counter with all the sides plus more! They didn't have any ready made prepackaged bbq baked beans, it was better, made fresh daily and we were able to get as much as we wanted at the deli counter. They also have several different Siesel's signature potato salads and pasta salads that aren't offered prepackaged at Iowa farms, which I absolutely love! My favs are the Asiago pasta and deviled egg potato salad. We also decided to try their Tri-tip sandwich made to order at the deli and it was delicious! Fluffy bun piled high with Tri-tip covered in bbq sauce and have the option to add cheese and anything else. Love it! Staff is always very helpful. Parking lot can get full on the weekends, and they can run out of the pre-prepared meats in the front counter, but make sure to ask if there's any more in the back or they may be able to prepare some for you! I will give two stars because it served my purpose and I got my order the same day. However a few things: The freezer isn't free, no matter what they tell you. 1) Don't freaking lie about this place being affiliated with Snake River Farms. This meat is OK and it works, but don't lie. I TOLD you I have used this service in the past, and also order from a premium meat service. That was truly unnecessary but whatever. You did not have to sell me, I knew what I wanted. Also, you crowded my space trying to look inside of my car when I returned home. That's weird. 2) When I tell you I can pack my own meat away, don't freaking stand there front of my other freezer so I cannot access its, while also checking out my living area. That's Creepy #1. 3) After again telling you I needed to deal with my child, you continued to take your time and engage in small talk and I suppose you don't know how to take a hint. Since you won't move and won't let me pack my own stuff, I'll stand right here behind you, grab some boxes, and pack my own meat. You praised the storage bags and the marker. *eye roll* Creepy #2 4) After I finally tell you that you need to go, you ask for a tip. Dude, really? This is a part of your job, even though I did the majority of it because all I wanted for you was to get out of my damn house so I could attend to my children. 5)Then you try to obtain this tip and/or extra money in the most manipulative way, by first trying to change the agreed upon price, and then by saying you're charged a 4% processing fee instead of the standard and known 3%. How do you NOT know this? Not only is that Creepy #3, that was so out-of-pocket and dishonest, I called you on it, and you tried to back out of it by saying some lame line, "Oh really? I admit my mistakes". No. YOU DID NOT. You thought you were going to run a game on me and it backfired. 6) Now the transaction is complete and now you're trying to tell me how to defrost cook the meat. When I told you I was almost 50 years old and have cooked all my life, you were really surprised, and shut the hell up...for a few seconds. But there you were, still trying to engage me in conversation. Yeah, you're definitely not getting the hint. Creepy #4 7) Much worse, after seeing pictures of my family and husband on the wall, after knowing I wanted you to leave, you tried to forcibly get a hug from me. Like dude, WHAT. THE. F**K?! To which I had to back up in my own kitchen and tell you I don't hug strangers and this is a business deal. And you had the nerve to be offended. Even my daughter said she was ready to reset your cranium after that nonsense. Creepy #5-100. Then I'm walking you out and you're still trying to tell me what you can offer me...even though I'm trying to close my door. At this point the kids are screaming for me to just slam the door because your creep factor crossed several lines, bridges, streams, and countries. 8) And the absolute worse, thinking about it now, I 100% believe you stole this sale from Jayden, because I flagged him down, was going to talk to him, and yet when he came to the door you weaseled your way up and said he was new. By the other reviews, he is not. That's absolutely repugnant, and I will NEVER purchase from you, Daryl Wyse, or this company again. But my dog will be happy with the meat. read more

I was enjoying a wonderful day at home with my two beautiful children, thinking "how can life get any better?" When I get a knock on the door around 2:30 in the afternoon. I went to answer the door and I find a very excited young man exclaiming to me he is going to give me a bunch of FREE FOOD, that's right people FREE FOOD, obviously being a normal person, the sound of that spiked my arousel, but wait it got better besides getting FREE FOOD, I was delighted to find out they were carrying some of my favs, including high quality steaks and seafood! Now im intrigued and curious to how they can just give me this food away, especially the high quality steaks that were presented to me. I was shown a case of organic grass fed steaks which the variety and quantity were top noche, considering I feed myself, my wife, and an eight and six year old both with bottomless pits for stomachs, as well as the occasional in-law or guest visits, our house consumes a lot of food! So at this point the manager who was training the excited man who I opened my door to, was explaining the cost per portion which was incredibe as is at around $5-6 dollars per cut, he finally offers up what I was waiting for, "MY FREE FOOD!" He throws a deal my way on top of an already great deal, it was a no brainer, he explained if I buy the case of steak and case of seafood which looked delectable on there own he would give me a 3rd case for free of my choosing, for their Superbowl promotion oing on. At this point im looking at over 200 servings of food which will feed my family for 3 months easily, and bringing the price per cut down to about $3.50. I CANT EVEN BUY A CHEESEBURGER FOR $3.50 let alone these irresistable looking pieces of meat. Like I said it was a no brainer I was sold and not due to any sneakiness or shadyness from a salesman, instead I was shown every detail I needed to know to make the smart decision here and know a great deal when its presented to me. I give both salesman 2 thumbs up, and as for the food it tastes amazing, I give Prime Selection a 5/5 because it deserves no less, and now I will never have to go back to a supermarket for my meat again, I simply call up my food guy and have the same order with the same locked in price delivered straight to me when I eventually run low on this delivery. read more

Prime Selection is always a win. The quality of their steaks is great. I have been buying from them for months now and they never fail to amaze me. Not only do their steaks come in several different cuts, which offers a variety for me to choose from, (depending on what I am craving at the time) but they also have a great flavor. Their chicken breasts come with seasonings that pack so much flavor into each piece, all i have to do is grill it up, and enjoy. This is so much better than your average meat from the grocery store. I am so happy that I was introduced to this company. I have recommended this company to several friends and they seem to enjoy it just as much as I do. All of your favorite meats can be found in one convenient location and I honestly, could not be more content with the service. With Prime Selection I always seem to have a wide variety of foods available, which is very convenient for someone like me who does not have much time to go to the grocery store (they deliver). HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! My family will be forever customers! I was having a hard time finding good meat in the stores and after discovering the clone meat situation going on I decided to look for other ways to feed my family. Right place right time when a Prime Selection rep crossed our path. I refuse to buy the meat in grocery stores after experiencing such an amazing difference with the Prime Selection meat quality and their customer service as well. There's so many different options to choose from as well as marinade. Tim has 100% been such a cool guy to help our family with everything we need from delivery, communication, customization, honesty, etc. He is officially known as "the meat man" to my kids and we are for sure lifelong customers!! I can't say it enough, the quality of the meat we get is amazing and nothing compares. Some guy knocked on my door saying he had deals on meat. I'm a meat lover so I let the guy in. I could tell immediately that the meat was very high quality. I usually get select quality meat, and it's just ok. These steaks were prime and choice, and cheaper then what I was paying. The salesman Benny, sold me a case, and threw in some free food. I was very impressed with the customer service, and quality of the food. I feel that these meat trucks are given a bad reputation, so I took the time to give him the good review he deserves. I wouldn't buy food from a company whose salespeople are completely illiterate. Our No Soliciting sign is repeatedly ignored by their guys who loudly bang on the door and ring the bell multiple times. Unless their reasoning is "We don't care about breaking the law," illiteracy is the only other conclusion. SEC. 21.509. SOLICITING PROHIBITED. (a) It shall be unlawful for a solicitor to contact or attempt to contact any person at a residential or commercial property when there is a sign posted with letters at least 1/2 inch high that states, "No Solicitors, No Soliciting, Solicitation Prohibited" or any other similar language that indicates that solicitors are not welcome. read more

Bought some meat from a salesman in military housing. Being a navy wife and mother of two, I'm always busy and have little time to shop. I was a little scared at first but after about a 20 minute sales pitch I decided to give it a try. The salesman Told me if I didn't like it he would refund my money but he also said if I liked it to give a good Yelp review so here's the facts... The steaks are great!!! everything is portioned so I can have a chicken breast and my husband can have a steak. The sausage was also great and there is large variety to choose from. Not a huge turkey fan so I bought the prime rib roast for Thanksgiving.I Have.to say this was the best prime rib that I have ever had and believe me I have cooked over 100 prime ribs. The sales rep had a grass fed roast as well but I prefer the fat that only prime rib can deliver. I recommend buying the one with the bone cut off and left on in a net that way you can carve slices that aren't a pound or bigger a slice, because you don't have to go around the bone you simply remove the rib bones after cooking so you get the flavor but not the hassle.Definitely a thumbs up if any of you are prime rib lovers read more

All I eat is Fish and I have ordered fish from all over the U.S. Online and have bought it at many places in San Diego. Therefore, I consider myself particularly discerning when it Comes to my fish. I bought 2 boxes of Tilapia and 2 boxes Of sea food and each and every fish/sea food dish came out perfectly Flaky And delicious. Was skeptical at first. Everybody pitches that there meats are the best. These meats and selection earned my vote. Extremely delicious and tender. Very good quality meats. Dustin was our sales guy. Great guy. Very personable. Stays in contact and checks up on me to make sure I'm taken care of. He's my go to guy now. Well earned because I don't trust people. I've paid for meats from a different vendor and they were not good at all. These really are top quality meats. . I bought it two boxes of steaks two boxes of chicken and box of fish. Salesperson told me that I was his last customer and he wanted to get rid of those boxes for Great discounts. Apparently "no soliciting" doesn't apply to their door to door sales guys. I have a VERY CLEAR "no soliciting" sign on my door yet their sales guy knocked anyway. I answered (thinking it was Amazon because he was wearing a blue shirt) and immediately pointed to my sign and politely said "no soliciting." He continued to talk right over me. I said it three more times, but he kept talking over me. Finally I got stern and said NO SOLICITING as I was shutting the door and he laughed at me and walked away. read more

I have used them for over 5 years. I order 3 cases (steak, chicken, and pork) twice a year. The first year I ordered, I did 4 cases and they gave me a free, brand new 7 cubic ft freezer that still runs like a champ. Their steak is aged and tender. Their pork is out of this world, and their chicken is delicious. It all only take about 20 minutes to prepare because it's individually packaged. What else can I say? Since we're from Temecula, it was especially convenient that they could collect the fish and contact us when it was ready. They estimated up to two days, but the processing was completed the very next day. Their location is easy to access, right on the corner near Old Town San Diego, with convenient parking available in the back. The quality of the processing was outstanding. We opted to have the collars included, which added a little to the cost, but it was well worth it. Everything was expertly vacuum-sealed, fresh, and packaged so well that there was no fish odor in our trunk during the drive home. Excellent service, convenience, and quality. We would definitely use Fisherman's Processing again after future fishing trips.

I've seen it all, and I can say without a doubt that the product that I just received from Fisherman's Processing is the very best in the industry. That rainbow, iridescent hue of light diffraction is the proof right there. Solid omega 3's, and it all starts with the processing on the Royal Star. The crew is dedicated to Shinkei Jime, proper bleeding, cleaning, and immediately getting each and every tuna into the RSW. On my most resent 16 day trip, not once did I see any fish on the deck for more than just a few minutes. Even during the hot bites with fish constantly coming over the rail. The crew's work ethic is clear. Not only do they want you to have a great time and catch the fish of a lifetime, but they sincerely want to produce the highest quality product achievable. Who wouldn't want share the very best product with friends and family? Thank you to the Royal Star and Fisherman's Processing. I personally won't even buy it in the store anymore. They put the weeks options on your door every week using all the proper precautions (gloves, sanitizer etc.) and you order and then BAM! There it is on your doorstep in sanitized crates you can choose to recycle or not! What a glorious day that is :) I live close to them, actually in the same complex and it's just so convenient. But they will drive to you where ever you live. I swear I love these guys! Please don't ever stop doing what you do!
