I prefer it to Sam's Club because Sam's Club is always so busy and hard to find a close spot. I also love to get gas here because the price is always cheap.

Really second guessing why I continued this membership after the first year. Oh yeah...cheap gas…read more Closer to my home than the other two, better, lower membership cost warehouse clubs who offer comparable gas prices. Here are the reasons I will likely not continue to be a "member" for $120 per year. First they make you download these coupons to get the "discount". Problem is that a lot of their items I buy get marked up for the coupon period the same amount as the coupon discounts them. Monster Energy Drinks and Reynolds Aluminum Foil just to name two that I've noticed. I'll bet there are many more. Straight out of the old MAJOR GROCERY RETAILER BASED OUT OF CINCINNATI OH playbook. Clip $8 worth of coupons only to pay the same price it was the week before the "sale" began. No thanks. Buy $50 of P&G items for a discount to be used later or $30 of candy for a similar discount. Here's an idea. How about in the 3-4 emails you send me each week, you throw one in there that reminds me I have an earned $10 or $20 credit that expires by whatever date it expires. That would be a real help to your valued club members. 2x now I have gone into the store expecting to use my "reward" only to find out it expired yesterday or 5 days prior. I just ignore the promos now. I go to this store when I have a need.... it would be nice if my promotional rewards could wait around until its convenient for me to use them. Tired of ranting but let me add that lots of the coupons don't work in the system and you either miss it until you get home or you have to ask someone to manually add it. Particularly on the perpetual $1.50 off a pound of their premium brand lunchmeat that rarely seems to work. Full disclosure: that particular coupon DID work tonight. First time in the past 3x that I've bought the required weight of meat with the coupon downloaded. Finally, I bought a rotisserie chicken tonight since I had no plan for dinner. Nice big label across the top of the plastic container makes it hard to see what you're buying. So I get home and open it up and BOOM ....big disappointment. 4 leg/thigh quarters with badly charred skin. Two were not even edible as thay had dried out and the meat was hard and difficult to pull apart. The other two quarters were actully better tasting than they looked but nothing close to local grocery store or the GOAT of all rotisserie chickens found daily at MAJOR WAREHOUSE CLUB BASED OUT OF WASHINGTON STATE. Just turned off the "Auto Renew" function on my membership account page. Save your $120 and drive the extra 5 miles to a warehouse club that values their members.

I've driven by the Bakery, so many times and wanted to stop, but I was always in a hurry. My sister and I went in and we each got a dessert and because it was four in the afternoon, we got decaffeinated coffee. The refills were free and we sat at the little counter like we were at a diner and enjoyed everything about this iconic little bakery. The decor is a eclectic. We just took our time and looked around and laughed at so many signs and odd little things that were placed over the years. On the way to the ladies room, you will find out that the gentleman that started the restaurant fought in one of the world wars, and you will see his worn out shoes, his uniforms, his letters of accommodation and Learn his story. Now let's get to the desserts. We shared some type of a wonderful lemon pastry and a black forest cake. Best black forest cake I've ever had. Savored every bite. We were able to buy the last of the springle's that they had made from Christmas. FYI, if you don't like black licorice don't buy Springerle's but you can only get them at Christmas because it's a German tradition and they won't work in the summertime because of the humidity. Things that I learned that day. We saw that they had a dinner menu with a huge variety of different bratwurst and assorted sausages that we would like to try sometime. We ended up spending an hour and a half in a beautiful little place that we thought we were just going to stop and grab desserts to go.

Despite being held in their back warehouse, everything was clean and organized, and the staff were very helpful in getting my things weighed and loaded in to my vehicle. The "Zero Landfill" event is designed to put materials donated by local area designers, dealerships, businesses, and sales reps in to the hands of crafters, collectors, artists, etc. to upcycle and/or repurpose discontinued or unused samples of various mediums. Offerings included things such as flooring, framing materials, tiles, and all kinds of fabric - all free. At the end, they weigh your haul and tell you how many pounds of materials you saved from the landfill. I am very pleased with my 120 pounds of velvet squares, curtain panels, carpet squares, and various other goodies that I was able to score. Being a curator of textiles, this event was right up my alley. To hear that almost 12,000 pounds of materials were saved from the landfill just at this event was awesome. I cannot wait to make upcycled pillow covers, table cloths, and who knows what else with my new-to-me beauties!
