They used to have a brick & mortar shop, but they now work from the back shed of their house. At first, I was hesitant when I saw that the business was in a residential neighborhood. When we pulled up, there was a "RM Leathers" sign on the mailbox and front door. I called and said I was there and the owner came out to meet me. I brought my husband because I wasn't sure what to expect, but when owner Teo opened the door, we realized that he's my husband's friend from soccer. Such a small world! Teo (pronounced tay-o -- Greek name), is SO sweet, efficient, and talented. He took only thirty minutes to sew the straps back on my backpack. He's affordable and you can call or text him to drop-off or pick-up items. Him and his wife run this business, creating leather jackets for motorcyclists. They attend a lot of conferences around the country to mend leather for these riders. It was such an unexpectedly great experience and I've already recommended him to a few friends! He has a sweet family and I love giving my money to deserving people like this fam!

I called Frye and they said there's nothing that can be done w/o ruining the leather (seriously your boots are $500 and you can't help me - but that's another story). A friend told me about RM Leathers and I happened to be going to Indy for the holidays. Teo & Liz are true professionals and won't steer you wrong. Teo was very thorough in explaining that they'd clean and treat the stain - my boots are BEAUTIFUL - no stain! If it can be made from leather, I think they have it. I hadn't planned on stopping in, but on a whim we visited. I looked down at my belt, falling apart and with holes that I'd poked with an awl to make it fit and decided I needed a new one. Their custom belt offerings were great with a range of sizes, buckles, finishes, etc. Jacob worked quickly and professionally to attach the snaps, hammer the holes to my particular fit and cut to length. So now I have a bespoke replacement that will probably last decades. The price was much higher, but you get what you pay for! Great shop! Friendly, personable service!
