If you're moving, HIRE movers. My partner and I are lucky to have found Olzhas and his team. They are kind, accommodating, and very efficient. The pricing is more than fair. It was $99 per hour (from the moment they load plus driving, and unloading. We started at 3pm and finished around 6pm. Total was a little less than $400. But we large items and multiple boxes... and we had stairs. read more

Prime Moving - Movers Near Me - Glendale, California

The 3 guys from Prime Moving did a great job! They were on time, quick, and hardworking. They wrapped furniture in plastic and blankets, and packed smaller items in boxes. Only took a total of 3 hours for a 2bd apt. They did charge a Heavy Item fee to move a sleeper sofa from our 2nd floor apt, so just a heads up if you own one. I'll definitely use them again in the future. read more

This was only my second time having a moving company for a large move and Prime was fantastic - I received my quote very fast, they have an online system to input info and make your appointment for those of us who don't like to talk to a real human, and I got frequent updates and reminders. The day-of, the gentlemen who came to do the move were super friendly, efficient, had tons of materials for any potential additional packing, wrapped everything potentially breakable or damage able - even stuff I didn't care about. Super professional and great value (we got quotes from 10+ companies and they were the most competitive, though there are a lot of add on fees). read more

Prime Moving - Brand new bedroom! - Movers Near Me - Glendale, California

Overall, I had a good experience with this moving company. The movers were nice, but my one-bedroom apartment was more involved than expected, it could have taken 5+ hours with the 2 movers. There was a bit of miscommunication at the start, when they began packing smaller items into large boxes without much direction, when my main priority was getting larger furniture that I couldn't handle on my own. Once things were clarified, it went more smoothly. They were professional, put in solid work, and honestly deserved a bigger tip for their efforts. read more

Prime Moving did a great job!! They came prepared with all necessary supplies and they were very careful and aware of taking care of my items. They were polite, courteous, and respectful. The only critique I could provide is to take all of the plastic wrap to dispose of when finished. It's going to be tough for me to dispose of it because there is so much. read more

Prime Moving - Finishing the job - Movers Near Me - Glendale, California

K & John came with professional & friendly greeting with equipped skills and techniques. They help us with refrigerator and mattress. We already covered both refrigerator and mattress ahead of time. They said that they will cover with moving blanket & wrap the refrigerator if want to pay. They wrapped little things and boxes with no cover with plastic wrap and tapes helped us tremendously!!! They handle with much care and there went the extra mile. Fast, safe, efficient, excellent service with execution. We will definitely recommend them!!! I appreciate you two!!! P.S. make sure to get a drivers contact number to check in the arrival time due to moving truck came 1hr late from the traffic and notified 5 mins till arrival time to let us know they will be coming 1hr late. Make sure to ask if large items cost to move due to anything over 350lb will be charged 150 even they will not wt them. Give specific wt notified ahead so it will not be charged. =) read more

Attention BE AWARE Dear Yelpers, I feel compelled to share a distressing encounter with Prime Moving, hoping to spare others the anguish I experienced during my recent move. This review aims to outline the series of errors, damages, and reprehensible customer service that marred my interaction with Prime Moving. Error #1 - Entry table and Dining Room Table Disaster: Within the first 30 minutes of the move, chaos ensued as Aza, one of the movers, attempted to disassemble my entryway table incorrectly. The situation was only salvaged due to my intervention, preventing potential damage to my glass installation entryway table. Despite explicit instructions and a walkthrough, Aza's subsequent actions displayed either gross incompetence or a blatant disregard for customer property, which led to significant damage to my dining room table Error #2 - Broken Wardrobe Rack: Upon reaching the storage facility, the movers admitted to breaking the wheels on a metal wardrobe rack, dismissing the incident as the rack being "flimsy." This lack of accountability raised concerns about the care and professionalism of Prime Moving. Error #3 - Sofa Chair Mishandling: Aza's mishandling of my large sofa chair, despite explicit instructions to lift and not roll on pavement, showcased a concerning lack of attention. This carelessness, coupled with a near-damaging incident during the stairwell maneuver, emphasized the incompetence of the moving team. Error #4 - Glass Desk Negligence: The movers failed to secure the glass desk properly, resulting in a missing suction piece. Their inability to follow basic moving procedures, along with a disregard for delicate items, left me frustrated and forced to replace a crucial component myself. Error #5 - Entertainment Center Catastrophe: Negligence reached its peak when the movers damaged the glass TV/entertainment center due to a failure to remove the fireplace before transport. The subsequent internal damage showcased a lack of expertise and professionalism. Throughout the ordeal, communication with Prime Moving was abysmal. Attempts to address issues were met with unresponsiveness and delays on their main line, leading to prolonged periods of uncertainty. To make matters worse, an unauthorized charge of $643 appeared in my bank account. This act further sullied an already appalling experience, exposing Prime Moving's unethical business practices. Attempts to resolve the situation with the company proved futile, with promises of discounts amounting to a meager $100, falling far short of addressing the extensive damage and distress caused. The lack of professionalism, refusal to rectify errors, and disrespectful communication prompted me to escalate this matter legally. In summary, I caution all potential clients against engaging Prime Moving's services. This review serves as a factual account of my experience, emphasizing the need for transparency and accountability within the moving industry. Note: After investigating Prime Moving has serval complaints with the Better Business Bureau. https://www.bbb.org/us/nj/passaic/profile/moving-companies/prime-moving-storage-llc-0221-90207536/customer-reviews One thing I found out through BBB to be aware of: BBB encourages movers to be mindful of moving misfortunes: Fly-by-night movers: Movers show up in an unmarked rental truck (PRIME MOVING SHOWED UP IN UNMARKED TRUCK), rather than a clearly marked company-owned fleet truck. Most professional movers wear uniforms (Prime Moving, no uniforms), workers undergo background checks, and will provide an order number for tracking purposes (Prime moving did not do this). not sure if they do background checks, or how they vet their workers. Once thing to note after investing this company has changed their name a few times. read more

Prime Moving - Neatly stacked boxes. - Movers Near Me - Glendale, California

Hello yelp universe, Wanted to take the time to throw a huge shout out to these guys. They arrived early, worked fast & were very professional & courteous. The biggest thing was the fridge... I don't know how it fit originally, but it didn't fit on the way out. Honestly, it was such a pain, had I known, I would have just left it. Anyways, to take it out, the guys were able to lift the whole fridge to squeeze it out (instead of taking the fridge apart). Then when we got to the new place, it wouldn't fit thru the door, so they took the front door off. Once inside, it wouldn't fit thru the doorway to the kitchen. They took the fridge apart (handles, doors, everything). Not once did they complain or seemed bothered. I appreciated their patience & professionalism. Other then the fridge, everything went fast & smoothly. Not a ding, nick or scratch on anything. They were gentle with everything. Would highly recommend. read more

Prime Moving - Movers Near Me - Glendale, California

Getting movers scheduled was quick and easy but that is where the professionalism stops. I was moving out of a small 1 studio apartment, with most of my stuff packed and furniture already broken down. I estimated that it would take 3 hours max. Although the walk to the freight elevator is a bit far, the movers were taking things down 1 item at a time sometimes! What was supposed to be a 3 hour move turned into a SEVEN hour move. I gave clear directions about where to meet at the second site and the clearance height of the garage, both of these were ignored and added another 30-45minutes to the job. I was actively moving things myself and at the end of the day, I was so frustrated at how long they took, they didn't even set up any of my furniture, had to do it all on my own. Would have gotten it done faster with just a U-Haul and a friend. But the most unprofessional part of all was that one of the movers spilled paint in the hallways of my old apartment and my Figs work scrubs. I tried to be reasonable and asked them to cover LESS THAN HALF of the costs of these damages - I was left ignored for weeks and had to call/e-mail them several times. I was then called by the mover who did the damage begging me to reduce the cost or else he would lose his job. What kind of company does this? I was later contacted by one of their administrators who again, tried to guilt trip me into forgiving them of the expenses and then compromised with me for an even LOWER reimbursement. I was promised the money to be transferred to me and never received it. Please don't waste your time with this company. This was by far, the most unprofessional experience that I had to ever go through - not just for moving companies but overall. This was absurd. DO NOT RECOMMEND! read more
