Prime Moving - Ali (foreman) and myself after moving. - Movers Near Me - Glendale, California

My movers from Prime Moving were Johnny and Dan and they were my saviors for this restless moving day! First of all, they were exactly on time to the appointment we had, very punctual, and they started to get things done really quick with very simple instruction I gave. However, our move had taken longer than expected because I have a lot of stuff for one bedroom and the route for moving my stuff was really long for these guys but they instead assured me that it will be okay and they will take care of everything for me. In addition to their very positive attitude, they were very careful with my belongings that my stuff was delivered to my new place without any scratch at all! They also helped me throwing out very troublesome furniture on their way. Lastly, they were just great people to work with and very hard working individuals! I would definitely recommend Prime Moving Company for your move day! Hopefully your movers turn out to be Dan and Johnny! Thanks for reading! read more

The guys showed up on time and worked hard. They were cordial and polite. Nothing got broken that I can tell. I would have given them a 5 but I was disappointed to see that when they used my brand new remodeled bathroom, they made a total water mess on the countertop and all over the new hardwood floors. They left one of their water bottles that I had given them on the floor half drank by the toilet. This is a brand new remodel and I didn't appreciate having to go into the bathroom to clean up after 3 grown men. read more

First time using a moving company and I loved it. The main crew leader Adam was excellent to work with and all the team was very professional and made sure all my items were kept intact. I had a box with glass and they realized I did not properly stored them so they open the box up and wrapped each glass . Will definitely work with them again. read more

OMG... These guys are my are more than Awesome! They came in and knew exactly what they were doing... it was great!!! Wonderful group of men, highly professional, respectful and responsible... when we got to my storage, they restocked the mess I had, and then loaded in. Definitely worth it! We moved from the Inland Empire to LA and Prime Moving made moving day so stress free. We had a team of 3 people. They were punctual, friendly, considerate and efficient. We had all of the boxes packed and only left our hanging clothes, furniture and larger appliances out. The team wrapped up our furniture very securely with plastic wrap and blankets, moved our clothes into wardrobe boxes, disassembled larger furniture, and packed everything into the truck (about 3 hours). When we got to our new place, they unloaded the truck, unwrapped our furniture and reassembled it for us. It felt wrong to be so stress free. The entire process took from 8am-3pm including driving (~1.5hrs) and lunch. Pricing for this company was competitive compared to other companies I saw on Yelp and included packing materials. The total price was a bit more than I was expecting initially because the move took a little longer than I anticipated and the double drive time fee added up (California law). Despite this, I would still use this company for my next move and would recommend them to my friends and family Thank you to Adam and the rest of the team for making our move as painless as possible! read more

I've never left a bad review anywhere but I can't recommend this company. They arrived late & even though I pre-paid for three hours showed a lot of hesitation to stay and help more after an hour and did leave before the job was truly done. They took several calls and I saw them watch YouTube videos and play on apps. For $100+ an hour I'd expect something more professional. There is a language barrier so when I asked if they could start with a certain room because someone is buying the furniture and would be arriving later they still picked up my white couch cushions to put in the uhaul first. I had to stop them and ask if they could do those last so they don't get dirty from being on the uhaul floor which had a lot of black marks. Then when the customer came he said the furniture I sold him was missing a part so I had to check with the movers and yes they forgot to bring a part of the bed frame with the rest of the bed so it could have been lost with my belongings had the customer not noticed. Me & my partner worked for days to empty the apartment & along side them the entire time so they finished in about an hour. They wanted to leave & asked me to sign so they could go & I was going to ask one of them if they could help with a few more things but he walked away from me & sat in his car waiting to go. So I asked my bf to ask him to help us move some boxes in the garage and he responded that we needed to ask his partner ... even though I prepaid for three hours of help. So I had to find his partner then wait for him to get off a call to ask for help & they seemed very uncomfortable. I checked the uhaul & they had put in giant items I asked them to throw in the dumpster by the uhaul. When I asked if they could take them out because I'm unloading the U-Haul by myself when I get home he asked me to do it myself because the way he packed the truck he just said it was better that way. I just feel like that something he should have talked to me about. Finally, even though I rented a 20ft Uhaul (recommended for 2-3 bedroom home) they didn't stack any furniture on top of each other. I had no space to put my items from the garage in this giant uhaul so even though they could see they left me no room and I would have to reorganize their work they still kept bringing up leaving and it hadn't even been 1.5hrs. It was so awkward I just said okay you guys can go. And he turned his phone around and asked me if I want to tip and the tips start at like $40 and up.... I would think the extra $105 an hour you guys never worked would be the tip. But I'm not confrontational so I just added an extra $15 cash. They left and I spent another 10 hours rearranging furniture and loading. As a 115lb young woman it would have really helped for them to offer to help the situation instead of me constantly asking them like I'm a burden. There's so many great moving companies where I feel like they care & go the extra mile. This experience felt like a scam I'm sad to say. read more

Used Prime Moving for a local move. The movers were very kind and professional. They were the best price with the most reviews in our area. Took 1 star off because they brought a smaller moving truck and had to make 2 trips instead of 1 trip, but they did not charge extra for the second trip which was nice. read more

What an excellent service these guys provided. The way John, K, Ali and Idol orchestrated the move was perfection. They started right on time, even apologetic for being 10 minutes late because of the traffic they came across since we live right in front of a school and it was in time of parents dropping off their kids. They handled all our stuff with care. They kept working non stop. They are so professional, polite and really knows what they are doing. We are very satisfied customers and we highly recommend them to anyone who is looking for moving services. Thank you, Prime Moving. You made this a very pleasant experience. read more

This is a follow-up to the review I posted a few days ago. I feel it's important to share that I received a call from the owner of the company Tolendi. He asked if I could recount my experience with his company and I found him to be very understanding and open to listening. He was very apologetic for my experience and let me know that he has made changes to his team based upon what happened during my move and offered my an additional discount to make up for things. I must say that I felt compelled to share this update because it would have been so easy to do nothing since my job was already done and there was no longer a need to deal with me. I really appreciate that Tolendi cares about his customers and is making sure that providing the best service is a top priority. I think his willingness to take my concerns seriously (with no financial benefit to the company) in addition to streamlining his team is a reason to give this company a chance. Thank you Tolendi! read more

BEWARE! This company is unethical! We were quoted $330 for a 1-bedroom to studio apartment, 15 minutes away, 3 hour minimum. Movers arrived nearly 2 hours late. I had cash ready + tip. Movers then said the move cost $500+ due to "extra time." The move took no longer than 3 hours. The movers used the restroom at the old apartment and took a very long time as though attempting to add more time onto the move. They stopped at the 7-11 prior to delivery to new address adding on even more time. They refused to leave delivery apartment until more money was paid via Zelle. I argued with them for an hour due to a change in rate 4 times! Total cost was $417! One of the movers was then waiting for me outside new apartment as I went to get something from my car and said to cancel the extra Zelle payment I made for the additional costs. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY or you will get scammed. I should have contacted the police when the movers refused to leave the apartment until I paid them the extra unanticipated fees. My guess is that they are predators looking for vulnerable people to take advantage of. Misleading initial quotes, deceptive practices, and upcharges. BE CAREFUL!!! read more

Do not hire these movers! I have never been charged so much for moving and I've moved with more items in the past. When I initially inquired they said there was no hidden fees, LIES. When the movers (Gani, Nurbol, and Valiet) arrived I was quickly shown a contract to sign with no explanation of details. After signing I was told it was going to be an extra $150 to move my "large" items but that it was ok because they normally charge $150 per large item but were only going to charge me for 1. I should've known that was a red flag. I cannot stress enough how slow they moved, it took 15 hours for 3 movers to move 3 rooms (boxes already packed) disassemble and reassemble 2 beds, 2 tv, fridge and washer/dryer. When it came down to paying I was told after the 8th hour I was charged time and half and that it was in the contract and standard protocol. I have never experienced this kind of service. I feel because I am a female and was alone they took full advantage of the situation. I ended up paying over $2,200. They left their empty plastic wrap rolls all over my house, empty drinking cups, and I had to ask them to take their plastic trash or else they were going to leave it on the floor in the garage. For that price I shouldn't have to ask them to pick up their own trash. After they left I realized they didn't hang one of my doors back up. I will not be doing business with them again. read more

I hired prime moving to arrive at 10am. They were late, and ended up scratching a brand new dresser and would not take responsibility for it. I asked for a discount and denied me a discount for the damages they made. After already moving half of the furniture they cancelled the move and brought everything back in because they felt pressured to continue the job all due to a scratch they wouldn't take accountability for. Then they tell me my other furniture is scratched and dent, ugh well maybe because the other furniture is so damn old. Do NOT HIRE this company, they will not take liability for damages. read more
