Despite being rescued in less than a minute, it quickly began to succumb to the water damage as the screen generated lines and stopped responding to my imploring fingers. iPhone Solutions had really high reviews on google and I decided to check them out. The place was very busy and they had two people working. They replaced the screen and changed out the battery charging portion, not really sure how it all worked but now when I plug in the phone it doesn't feel the same. But it's been a few days and the phone seems to be working fine so I'll keep my finger crossed. Friendly service during a stressful time.
