Dr. Kirstner has NO bedside manner. I met him briefly before my emergency gallbladder surgery, but…read morehe seemed unconcerned and hurried. I was scared and could have used a positive experience to make the surgery easier. He used Staples for the incisions and left them in more than 2 weeks. He also seemed a bit phobic or prejudiced against larger patients. He could lose a few lbs himself. I think he needs to retire. At this point, he is simply going through the motions.i would not recommend him.

I was assigned him as a surgeon after a night in the ER at Banner Baywood. He refused to explain the procedure, he was rude, short and condescending. My gut told me not to use him. Thank goodness I listened to my instinct. The nurses and anesthesiologist practically cheered when I fired him. He was a jerk to everyone. During my entire stay in the hospital not one staff member had anything nice to say about him. After I got home from the hospital he already had a $400 bill waiting in my mailbox. FOR DOING NOTHING !!! He plays dirty. He even confronted us after we fired him. I will report him to every site possible. I already reported him to the hospital and I am in the process of finding out how many complaints he has against him on the medical board .. I have never in my life experienced such a terrible bedside manner .. In case you or your brainwashed office staff see this, NO ONE LIKES YOU.. Sorry you paid for medical school because you picked the wrong profession. You need to humble yourself and beg for forgiveness to those you have mistreated, but you have obviously been getting away with this far too long !! Hang it up buddy ! Do your homework folks !

One Medical is an interesting place to review because... it's not a restaurant, and it's not an…read moreentertainment place. But it's a place you go to see a doctor. And in the spirit of Yelp... I review everything. Including... walk-in doctor's offices. So, I'm a One Medical user, and I've used it for about six months. This is my home location, and I'm definitely a fan. One of the main things I like about it is how you can get labs done by just walking in anytime. You don't need an appointment. You just walk in and wait. If there's a line, they can give you a time to come back. Or, if there's no line, you can just sit in the waiting room. It's very nice to have a lab on site, and you don't have to deal with the whole Sonora Quest adventure that a lot of us Arizonans deal with. I've seen two nurse practitioners there. Both of them were helpful. And not only did they show good bedside manner--if I'm able to use that term, despite not actually being in a hospital bed--but they also were quick to respond to my messages on the app. The service here is painless. No pun intended. It's easy to make an appointment. Their app is very well-designed. And this location is clean and friendly. I would recommend One Medical if you're looking for a simple primary care experience.

But whoever is handling the billing lately is so rude, am not sure what happened. Maybe they outsourced it? I've never had an issue until recently. I called to clarify a charge that didn't seem like it was coded correctly. The person I spoke to on the phone was obviously busy with so many other things in the background and seemed annoyed and said she'd pass along my concern. I asked in the app and the person who replied was extremely rude as well, when I was just looking for clarification. Apparently a Saturday appointment triggers an extra $87 charge as "after hours" even though that was never disclosed and it shows on the website that they are opening alternate Saturdays (again with no mention of it being an extra fee or extra hours.) It wasn't an emergency and we didn't need to go on a Saturday. I just think that it should be disclosed somewhere that an extra fee will be incurred. My first inquiry in the app received a very patronizing "non-answer" to my question. The AI in the app is great but it doesn't handle billing. AI isn't always helpful but at least it's not rude or insulting. After the back and forth, I logged in to pay the balance that I should not have owed, but I chalked it up to a lesson learned. It showed zero balance. That was a few weeks ago, and today I got a bill in the mail showing the outstanding balance again. The providers and the quality of care are amazing. I just felt insulted the way I was treated by the billing people, and that's left a bad taste in my mouth. I would definitely recommend One Medical but be warned that billing might be a hassle now that I guess it's being handled by new people.

I have never met a more apathetic group in my life from the doctor on down. Over the last several months, I have had serious concerns with blood in my urine. When I discussed possibilities for it with the doctor, he just smiled and shook his head. He ended up ordering an ultrasound, but it was not on the area we had discussed. I reached out to his staff four times requesting a different ultrasound. Not once did they respond to this request. Meanwhile, I continued to pee blood. The ultrasound results came back, totally negative, which included my kidneys. Today, I am being discharged from a three day stay in the hospital. In the ER, I was given a CT scan of my abdominal region. Sure enough, I have a large kidney stone that will need to be broken up. This explains the blood in my urine which doctor Aghenta attributed to HRT. Obviously, my kidney stone has nothing to do with that. My husband also felt dismissed. He went in to have his solar plexus looked at as it was jutting out and creating a large lump under his skin. The doctor just smiled and shook his head and said it was totally normal. He did not even touch it. Recently, I switched to a new family practice and requested my records to be sent. My records included a cover sheet with a note from Dr. Aghenta's office thanking them profusely for being so kind to take me on as a patient. They used capital letters about their gratitude. Completely over the top and snarky. I don't appreciate being set up in a negative light with my new primary health care physician. I find this extremely unprofessional.
