I recently started going to Primal Fit determined to get my body right. I've been working with Matt as my personal trainer and it's been an incredible experience! I lost 35 lbs and 12% body fat in my first 3 months with him.....insane!!! He has a wealth of knowledge and experience, and has helped me not only reach my fitness goals, but also provided me with the tools and motivation to maintain a healthy lifestyle. I've constantly "yo-yo'd" in that I see a little progress but regress after a while because I can't sustain the lifestyle. But that's changed with Matt. He challenges you but makes the workouts enjoyable and consistently adjusts them to meet my needs and progress. He also makes sure to really get to know your body and look out for your safety. I injured my knee playing soccer and he made sure to keep an eye out for that as I recover. I highly recommend Matt and Primal Fit to anyone looking for a knowledgeable, effective, and supportive personal trainer. read more

Primal Fit Miami - Thank you for your patience and commitment Billy! - Gyms Near Me - Miami Shores, Florida

Primal Fitness classes are small, and I like that. I also like that the participants seemed rally focused on actually working out. It's not a place to walk around and do nothing. It's not a gym setting; it's more of a studio setting where the trainer pays attention to your form as you exercise and corrects it so you're using the muscle targeted. The facility is very clean with an individual changing area and shower for women and men. There are also individual restrooms, and they are very clean. read more

Well yours truly, Mari aka Groupon junkie, purchased a groupon for two cryotherapy facials. I called a week before and I made an appointment for my day off, while talking to the receptionist she advised me that they had happy hour from 12 to 4 p.m for $30, so I told her to book me for happy hour and afterwards do my facial. Luckily Primal Fit is located in Miami Shore on Northeast 2nd Ave. I arrived promptly five minutes before my appointment and was greeted by the receptionist, (by the way also was the one who did my facial.) I was given a tablet and pretty much I filled out a health questionnaire. Once I finished, I was instructed to change out of my clothes and to leave on panties and bras. I was also given a clean pair of socks and clogs to wear. Now, I've never heard of this cryotherapy, but I heard it reeks great benefits: 1. pain relief and muscle healing 2. weight loss 3. reduced inflammation 4. prevents dementia 5. preventing and treating cancer 6. reducing anxiety and depression 7. treating migraine headaches I was placed in a chamber for three minutes, oh my god, I'm a fan of cold weather, but that was one of the most coldest moments of my life. I was freezing. I immediately went and changed back to my clothes to prepare for my facial. I went to this other room and my cryofacial l. I was given some sort of wrap and to place around my ears. I was sprayed with cold air on my face for an approximate amount of eight minutes. I really liked that cold air on my face, especially with this very hot weather we are experiencing. Once we were done, I was a little hungry and decided to have a protein shake. I ordered Hawaiian Delight (protein, bananas, coconut, pineapples), the shake was amazing. I have one more facial left off my Groupon and I will be returning next week. Do I want to do this again? Yes, in the near future, but I want to research cryotherapy more depth. read more

Sometimes you want to go where everybody knows your name ... this is a great place to transform into a healthier you without the muscle heads, maniacs or mirrors. I wanted to give Primal Fit a try when they were located in the Shores, but I'll admit- the sticker shock was real. I went ahead a signed up for one month. It wasn't inexpensive, but well worth it. I lost 15 pounds by following the plan and getting in there to do the workouts which were all challenging but in a good way. I never finished a workout feeling tortured or beat up- simply leaner and stronger. No one is yelling at you - just some friendly banter every now and then for those who are into that. If you're not, no worries. They respect everyone. Every workout was challenging, but in a good way. The music was definitely a plus. read more

I am a breast cancer survivor (10 years), post 5 back surgeries, and living in constant pain for over 20 years. I have met a lot of trainers who say they "know" how to stretch, but in reality, they are uneducated, unmotivated and unreliable. Primal Fit's owner, Matt Pack, has come to my rescue. His stretching techniques, suggestions, and education are on TARGET. His many years of experience, techniques, and compassion, make my stretching experience on TARGET! He has an amazing staff as well that include Andrew & Mike, and of course my favorite front desk staff personnel: Cindi and Ryan In addition, I have integrated weekly stretching and now Cryotherapy into my regimen. I can honestly attest to being pain-free. read more

I have been dealing with lower back pain for over a decade. I have tried everything. Lumbar epidurals (9), chiropractors (2), physical therapy, books, Youtube videos, medications (Flexeril, Percocet, advil) and have seen a bunch of other so called experts. Matt Pack's stretch therapy is the real deal. I just had my 5th visit and I feel AWESOME!!!! I spent over 15 hours driving this past weekend with little or no pain. 4 of those hours were spent in a race car at Sebring International Raceway, the bumpiest race track in North America. On Sunday night I would normally be miserable and reach for the Advil/Flexeril so I could sleep. Not this Sunday, I slept like a rock without taking a single pill all weekend. Thanks Matt. read more

Go! One of the best workout experiences I have had. I was traveling to Miami on business and wanted to find a good workout. Primal Fit was highly recommended, and now I see why. I met the owner, Matt, right when I walked in. He introduced himself and asked about my workout history. I could tell right away that this was not your average gym, but an environment built for success, encouragement and sweat. I immediately felt like I was part of the family. I have tried both the strength and conditioning group classes. They were fantastic but very challenging. Every staff member knew my name instantly, gave constant encouragement and motivation, and paid specific attention to each class members' movement. I worked with Kat, Mark and Michael and you can tell they all not only knew what they were doing, but were meant to be in this atmosphere. Although I have not tried the private instruction, you can tell just by looking around at others how much attention the personal trainers, including Matt, pay to each body movement. The trainers, truly care that their clients achieve healthy success. There is no question that the workouts will challenge you and build endurance and strength. They will challenge you mentally. But there is no question that Primal Fit is the place to go whether you are traveling to Miami or live nearby and want to get in shape. read more

Great team. Matt is excellent; what was supposed to be a 30-minute meeting when we initially met, was nearly 2 hours long. He took the time to get to know me, what I was looking for, and didn't simply try to sell me a subscription, but made it clear he wanted to help me reach my goals. His team (Meg, Andrew, Michael, and Leo) have all been excellent with me as well. They have taken the time to get to know me, and want to help me improve, rather than simply go through the motions. Everyone is extremely friendly, and motivates you. They want to help you improve. Matt has been wonderful with me, and although its only been 1 1/2 months, I have felt welcome, and have been treated like all other members, since day one. Great team. If you are in the local area, don't hesitate to stop in. They truly care, and work with you individually, to help you move forward and improve, based upon your current fitness level. read more

I have been a member at Primal Fit for just about a year and I remember exactly where I was when I realized I need to make a change and asked several people for recommendations. Everyone suggested calling Primal Fit and I could not be more thankful. Joining the Primal Fit FAMILY was the BEST decision and lifestyle choice. The team, Mike, Matt, Andrew, Marc and Kat made me feel SO welcome and the other members could not be any friendlier. Going to the gym is one of the best parts of my day and seeing the results has been amazing. read more

Worth every penny!! The owner, the staff, the workouts, the different and very effective approach to fitness, the individual attention in small group classes... EVERY aspect of this gym is incredible! I have been going to gyms for many years and quickly get bored with the same old, same old. This has been a refreshing experience that makes me get out of bed to work out. And believe me, you work out!! And you see results!! By far the BEST gym experience I have ever had!! read more

There are not enough great things I can say about this place. To call it simply a "gym" would almost minimize the great work here. I joined many, many gyms before. My attendance was always less than consistent, and I often felt uninspired. I worked out on my own for several years. I heard of Primal Fit as part of an advertising campaign on Facebook. The location was close, and I was looking for something different. I started the six-week trial; and from the first day, it felt special...different. First, the owner, Matt Pack, greeted everyone, personally, during orientation. Along with other trainers, he was right there, registering and weighing participants and talking with us about our goals. My first workout was challenging! I did things I never did before--not even in military basic training! And it felt good afterwards...lol...by "good" I mean, I felt like I accomplished something. All of the trainers are exceptional and care about your successes...and they help you step out of your comfort zone and into that new pair of jeans! Besides the varied workouts, there is a shake bar, cryotherapy, stretch sessions/therapy and personal sessions. It was easy to make the decision to continue after the trial. The only reason I am no longer there, is a job in another state--and don't think I didn't try to convince Matt to expand the business! :-) Go! You will enjoy the workouts and achieve results. read more
