It was a quiet Saturday afternoon and people were mostly doing take out. Minutes after sitting down, even before ordering, we were surprised with complimentary garlic bread. Absolutely delicious! Perfectly crunch and super garlicky. We ordered a large plain pie and were very satisfied. It was everything we were craving! The pizza was at least 24 hours old. The order was wrong, the toppings were floating in the box, the box would have tasted better. Yet again; in the 7 years I've been eating in Orange County, I haven't ONE time received a correct order. Every eatery gets it wrong EVERY time. 100% stupid in Orange County, New York. Incredible service and food at Prima Pizza!Stopped by for lunch after a long hike at Storm King Mountain and this meal hit the spot. As soon as our group of 4 walked in, the owner and waitress welcomed us, answered all our questions about the menu and the food came out super quick and fresh! They sent us complimentary garlic bread and garlic knots, both of which were very flavorful. The staff could not have been more welcoming! Food portions were big, we ordered a meatball sub, buffalo chicken pizza (on cauliflower crust) and white clam pizza to share. White clam pizza was one of the best I've had (cheesier than Frank Pepe's) and the food was all top notch and made of fresh, local ingredients! While so many have reviewed the fabulous pizza that Prima Pizza makes, I've actually never had the pleasure of a slice. I'm writing to review their "Air Prima" pizza shipping service. You see, I know this NY style pizza loving guy who is stranded in the pizza desert of Washington State. (Yeah, there is pizza out there, but it's not REALLY pizza... you know what I mean.) So, in an effort to help him survive his pizza drought, I went in search of a NY pizza that could be shipped across the country. Prima Pizza does this! They prep the pizza using a patent pending process, and ship it overnight in a real pizza box! Prima will also personalize the delivery by writing a message inside the lid of the box. How'd this cross country pizza work out? Well, according to my picky pizza guy in WA, he has given the traditional cheese pizza, and the delivery, two enthusiastic thumbs up. I've sent two pies over to the West Coast in the last year, and both arrived in perfect condition, and tasting just as good as he'd hoped when he saw the box in his doorstep. So, if you're looking to get a taste of NY pizza to someone stranded way far away from NY, Prima Pizza's "Air Prima" service is the perfect choice! These people are fantastic! For $6 I got a large fountain soda and the best slice (the size of two) loaded with chicken cutlet, cheese, and pizza crust that is so sublimely simple, it should cost a lot more. The grandma pizza here light and fluffy and is very filling and large to share. This place also offers thin whole wheat crust pizza which was very good and crisp. If in the area I'd go back again, and would maybe try the grandma pizza with some additional toppings (if you want thin crispy pizza don't get the grandma pie; also also them to make it a little well done if you get veggies on top to of a thin pizza to reduce the liquid release from the vegetables). read more

The first time I came here this place was great. Tony the owner was nice but for some reason the air wasn't filled with positive energy today. The two girls at the counter were talking to us as if we are slow and I wasn't pleased with the service at all today. Don't get me wrong the food was good but the service today wasn't it for me. Also it said that all the people must wear masks when entering but when you enter the pizzeria only 2 out of all the workers had masks on so when I entered the pizzeria with my friends and they didn't have on a mask it honestly wasn't fair to them. The owner , the owners wife I'm guessing and the cook didn't have on a mask! I came from New Jersey and you'd think they would treat you with some great attitude. When you come from such far to a place you've been to before and they don't provide the service you received the first time it sucks. As someone who has lived in Orange County for most of my life, it's a real shame that I only just discovered Prima till a few months ago. Easily one of the best pizza places in the area, hands down. The BEST crust (there's an art to bringing the sauce & cheese all the way to the outer crust, and these guys NAIL it!) every topping and gourmet combination you can imagine, the PERFECT amount of cheese, and the best marinara sauce. Just incredible. Plus, they made a dynamite Italian hero, chicken parm, and any sandwich really. I highly recommend the White Clam & Garlic Pie, the Eggplant Rolatini Pie, and the amazing Godfather pie (I think that's what it's called) with roasted garlic, sausage, and mushrooms...unreal. This was really depressing. The only thing good about this place is the waitress she was very nice. Unfortunately my meal was a disappointment. My bfs meal was ok. He had a steak wrap and I had the spaghetti in white wine sauce. You can see in the pic how much of a disappointment it was. After all the favorable reviews I expected a lot, sadly I was disappointed. I guess that's what happens when people hype up a spot, you expect it to live up to it, and when it doesn't...well, that makes it all the more disappointing. That being said, it wasn't terrible. If I hadn't read the reviews, I might have thought more of it, but because I did read them, my expectations were high. Of course, I'm originally from the Bronx, so I already had high expectations. Great pizza, wonderful atmosphere, and friendly helpful service. We ordered a small pizza, 1/3 basil & tomato, 1/3 margarita, and 1/3 godfather (red pepper and spinach). Two of three thought the basil and tomato was one of the best pizzas ever; the third liked the margarita better. I notice that a few people dislike the atmosphere - to our thinking, the lighting is pleasantly low (from Tiffany style lamps) and the ambience is homey (checked tablecloths, lots of nice stuff on brick & wood walls. We came because my friend remembered coming here 15 years ago for supper after storm king and she thought it was the best pizza ever. Also I noticed a very small number of complaints about soggy pizza among the many excellent reviews. It did seem that the pizza with marinara was slightly soggy especially compared to the other 2/3 of the pie. Perhaps if you load a pizza down with wet (marinara) or fatty (meat) ingredients, it will tend to get soggy. read more

Let me start this review by saying that Prima's Pizza is amazing. My main point of this review being, the Army Black Knight Pizza. The entire premise of this pizza is delicious to say the least. However, the pizza my girlfriend and I received was leaving us wanting(water). Specifically wanting the blackened chicken to be dunked in less salt. Let me elaborate. The level of saltiness we experienced would put anybody in the army to shame. It was so salty it made the "Salty Spittoon" just look like the Spittoon. To quote Schitts creek this pizza came back from a day working the salt mines. I've personally never experienced something so salty. I debated giving it to our dog but I didn't want her to die of hypertension. Anyways generally love their Pizza, but I don't know what happened tonight besides them dumping literal pounds of salt on their pizza. We got an order of garlic parm wings, too. Those were good. Let's just say the celery sticks they sent with them were a god send. #grateful read more

She seated us outside and we waited about 10 minutes for menus. We asked for water, and 20 minutes later they brought it out. Stopped in a few weeks back while visiting my sister in law. The neighborhood here in Cornwall is awesome! Prima is nestled amongst other restaurants and shops. The restaurant is self is small but cozy and they crank out awesome food! My kids had a few slices and I had a "small" antipasto salad...it was HUGE!!! This was the first place I had dinner at after moving to Cornwall, and it was amazing. Ordered the garlic knots (very cheap price and VERY DELICIOUS), the small tossed salad (small is a lie, this plate was huge full of vegetables and meats, more than enough for two people), and a pie. If you want to get a pie to yourself, you will have 2-3 days of leftovers, they are huge. Since the first time, I only get a slice now cause they are the size of a small Papa John's pizza. My favorite is a plain cheese, just perfect example of a New York pizza. The staff is always great, the environment is always lively. Really a place you can ENJOY your meal. Our favorite go to pizza place in New York so far. Our favorite dishes are the salad pizza, Stromboli, and chicken Alfredo. The portions are large so expect to take some home. It is a small place but it also has a patio for warmer days. We take our dog there and he has always been welcome.
