Our only regret in hiring John Brady with Brady Property Services is that we didn't find and hire…read morehim sooner. John gave us a competitive estimate in mid-2022 to renovate a hallway and half bath - a project delayed by budgets and the pandemic for about 4+ years. We set a start date of early January 2023 and John began his work. We found John and his colleague to be extremely professional, prompt and thoughtful in their work. What's more - John asked questions and verified details with us as he went. There was no assuming what we might want, and he offered helpful ideas and recommendations. Working in a fairly tight space, John and his colleague were respectful of the fact that I work from home and, although construction noise is unavoidable when tearing down walls and what have you, they were not intrusive or blasting loud music as they worked. I sincerely appreciated their professional manner and dress because my mother lives with us and I am keenly aware of how strangers in the house might make her feel uncomfortable. They were so polite and respectful of her and my family. That cannot be said of all contractors. Now, the work quality: I'd rate it excellent or better. John took great care to ensure the quality of the work and materials would meet or exceed our expectations. He even found a better solution for some cabinets for us that matched the style we wanted without impacting the budget. The drywall work was excellent. He managed to match and/or mirror some intricate moldings to exactly what we hoped for. John also stayed late once or twice because he wanted to make sure the quality of the work was also up to his high standards. Prior to hiring John, we had another company work on a basement renovation. The comparison was like night and day. The company handling the basement took too long, cost too much and the quality of both the work and the workers was not good. Brady Property Services was a study in contrasts with John's work completed in a timely manner, staying within a reasonable budget and producing outstanding quality in the work itself. We have more projects to complete, and John will now be our first call for all of them. I highly recommend him.

Our "inspector" was consistently recommended to us by our real estate agent at Hearthside…read moreRealty/Coldwell Bankers/Cliff Lewis Team. I have to wonder if they have a deal because the inspector was negligent at best, intentionally deceptive at worse and working together with others to deceive us. The fact the "inspector" had communications with the seller without us present is suspicious. Now what was wrong with the "inspection"? Nearly EVERYTHING. The inspector told us our deck "was the greatest deck", yet our GC confirmed it was not at all and contributed to water getting into the home, and subsequently mold. The deck was also made of improper materials, leading to a safety risk. There was no mention of the improper grading, which also led to water getting into the home, and subsequent mold. The mold "test" conducted by the inspector was not at all within the standard of care. As a result of purchasing this home with many material defects for $800,000, we have incurred about that amount making the needed repairs to our home and having to discard items destroyed by the mold which will need replacement, as well as the healthcare expenses incurred as a result of the mold exposure. Undoubtedly, the acts and omissions of Allied, among others, likely led to the premature death of our dog as she was exposed to mold. You're much better off getting a COMPETENT GC to inspect rather than these people, who in my opinion are charlatans and got their license from classes online. Apart from our GC, many other experts have corroborated the negligence at best, if not intentional harm, Allied caused to us.

"Will not recommend for your hard earned money and the risk associated being a buyer"…read more It has been very difficult experience with Allied, the report is done with missing tags so we had to follow up just to get where in the house the report was pointing only to get vague responses. I literally had to coordinate Termite Inspection (even when listed on their own website as an integrated service) for them as they used a Third Party and they weren't available, no visibility on scheduling, very loosely put together operation for the Cost. Pool/spa Inspection: Do not choose at all, that 115 usd was a total loss as the inspector only operated hottub superficially and made excuse of access for every question. The list on the site is misleading to say the least. All in all go pick someone else and have peace of mind.
