I purchased my home at the beginning of the pandemic and shortly after moving in, my mother (who…read morelived with me) was diagnosed with an aggressive and rare cancer. The previous owner purchased and had Jiffy install a new slider just before closing. She also purchased a screen, but never told me about it. After my mom passed, I went through the invoices the previous owner left me (I was thinking about having some repair work done) and noticed there was a note from Jiffy that the screen would be left with the new owner (me). So, I called to follow up on it. I was informed the screen was delivered to her (but is nowhere to be found). I asked for pricing on a new screen. Steve came over after a month or so and brought a screen door for a fitting. I explained that I live in a condo community that REQUIRES board approval for any exterior changes by homeowners - yes, that includes a new screen door. He tried to talk me into letting them install it anyway and I refused (politely and because I don't intend to get on my condo board's and/or neighbor's bad side). Deep in grief, I paid for the screen in full and kept the screen. Steve promised to come back and install it once I had approval. I made a mistake on the check and Steve came out the NEXT day (a Saturday) to get a replacement check. That is the last I heard from or saw Steve. I called and left messages after the board approved the new screen door. I was only able to get an answer when I blocked my number prior to calling. At this point in my life, I don't chase low character people. And I also don't start big, expensive projects with companies I haven't worked with before. I have lots of work to have done around here (I purposely bought an outdated home in need of superficial repairs/replacements so I could update it to my liking). I know who I WON'T be calling in the future to provide services. If someone will dodge your calls over a couple hundred bucks, you KNOW you can't trust them with larger, more expensive projects. Beware.

Took 3 appointments to get the job done and it was done incorrectly…read more They quoted with parts that were not used - the first rain after they did the job, the gutters overflows at the wrong side. We called and they said they will have a sales person out but no call or visit. The first reschedule was due to possible rain which i get. The second was because they weren't prepared to do the job. The 3rd they did the gutter on the front and did it wrong with parts that were not in the contract. They are avoiding resolving the issue since they got partially paid and have not accepted payment for the rest. Run far away from Brothers Gutters if you want a job done right.

JC Construction had a Groupon deal, $100 for $200 worth of gutter cleaning service, so I called…read morethem to setup an appointment. Chris from JC Construction talked me out of the Groupon stating that the service would likely not exceed $100 and that if I didn't use the Groupon I'd get faster service. Then he asked me to send an email to request the gutter cleaning service, which I did, and no response for a week. When he did respond he said they'd be out Tuesday or Wednesday. I responded that I need to know which day, because I needed to take off work. He responded by saying they were delaying because of bad weather. Silence for another week, then he said he would be here on Tuesday, again I asked if he would be here in the morning or afternoon, again I got no response. So after taking a day off and sitting here, I called around 1pm and got no answer. I then got an email at 4pm saying that they had tried some other customers in the morning and that everything is still frozen so they won't be cleaning gutters till spring. I understand that their service is contingent on good weather, but I would never use or recommend these people again after wasting a day off from work because of them.
