Our only regret in hiring John Brady with Brady Property Services is that we didn't find and hire him sooner. John gave us a competitive estimate in mid-2022 to renovate a hallway and half bath - a project delayed by budgets and the pandemic for about 4+ years. We set a start date of early January 2023 and John began his work. We found John and his colleague to be extremely professional, prompt and thoughtful in their work. What's more - John asked questions and verified details with us as he went. There was no assuming what we might want, and he offered helpful ideas and recommendations. Working in a fairly tight space, John and his colleague were respectful of the fact that I work from home and, although construction noise is unavoidable when tearing down walls and what have you, they were not intrusive or blasting loud music as they worked. I sincerely appreciated their professional manner and dress because my mother lives with us and I am keenly aware of how strangers in the house might make her feel uncomfortable. They were so polite and respectful of her and my family. That cannot be said of all contractors. Now, the work quality: I'd rate it excellent or better. John took great care to ensure the quality of the work and materials would meet or exceed our expectations. He even found a better solution for some cabinets for us that matched the style we wanted without impacting the budget. The drywall work was excellent. He managed to match and/or mirror some intricate moldings to exactly what we hoped for. John also stayed late once or twice because he wanted to make sure the quality of the work was also up to his high standards. Prior to hiring John, we had another company work on a basement renovation. The comparison was like night and day. The company handling the basement took too long, cost too much and the quality of both the work and the workers was not good. Brady Property Services was a study in contrasts with John's work completed in a timely manner, staying within a reasonable budget and producing outstanding quality in the work itself. Extremely professional and courteous. As a first time home buyer, I was nervous about the whole experience. John eased that nervousness by guiding me through the process. I'm a first time home buyer and found John Brady through reviews like this on Yelp. We chose him because his rates for home, termite, and radon inspections were the most reasonable and he was also the most professional in communication. He tends to arrive early for inspections and start with the exterior first, then when we arrived he said we could follow him around and ask questions. It helped that he told us things that would be "nice to know" but would not be in the report to give us the most realistic picture of what's urgent and not. John was very comprehensive in documenting everything with pictures and we received the full report within a few hours. It had pictures, explanations, and even estimated quotes for repairs that helped us in the negotiation process. We loved working with him and asked for his help again with the re-inspection. He definitely went above and beyond in communicating with our realtor as well as the seller's contractor that was handling repairs for us, making an already-stressful process of buying a house more manageable. He arrived early at multiple inspections and was already examining the property with the latest technology. From the roof to the crawl space, he climbed high and low to inspect every hidden corner. He is readily equipped with tools and instruments to assess the house for any structural, electrical, or plumbing deficiencies. John is also extremely detailed as evidenced by his full reports. Within his notes, he also provides photographs and diagrams to support his findings. I also appreciated his grading of findings; for example, issues that were urgent safety hazards to address, followed by less concerning issues, such as recommended improvement projects or cosmetic fixes.
