Horrible customer service. I sent one of my dump trucks to McCollum trucking and grading to grab a…read moreload of red mortar sand. I called the office to place the order and make the payment. Spoke to Amanda, (very nice girl ) and told her my truck is there to get 15 yards of red mortar sand. She said ok no problem and charged my card for the sand. She told her loader man to load my truck with 15 yards of red mortar sand which is what I ordered and paid for. Once my driver delivered the load and dumped it out at the clients jobsite he sent me a picture of a successful drop as he does with all the loads he delivers. Upon closer inspection I noticed it was NOT RED MORTAR SAND, but red mulch instead. I call Amanda and ask her what I paid for? She responds: 15 yards of red mortar sand ". I tell her: well my truck just dumped out a load of red mulch. She responds and says: well I told my loader to load him with red mortar sand, idk what went wrong, let me transfer you to my boss man Ronald (the owner of the company). I asked him what we can do about this as his employee and loader man clearly cannot follow instructions nor does he know the difference between red mortar sand and red mulch. Keep in mind that the red mulch is double the price, and he can possibly loose a lot of money if his loader keeps loading trucks with material that is double of what customers pay for. Simply because his loaders don't follow instructions from the office and can load trucks with whatever they feel like even if it costs double the price!?!. Ronald proceeds to tell me that my driver, should know better with what he's getting loaded with, when in reality his loader should know better and load the correct material as the loader man does this everyday for a living. (My drivers do not get out of trucks for safety reason, especially around big loaders that would crush a human with anyone even noticing) COMPANY POLICY. The only way my driver knows what he's loaded with is after he or she dumps the loader out. Once again, for safety of my drivers. In conclusion, Ronald told me it's my problem and I'll have to be once again paying for a load of sand for the second time due to his employees incompetence. I told him I will be buying another load of sand, but not from him. You sir (Ronald) did not only loose out of a load of red mulch for the cost of red mortar sand, but you also lost a trucking company as a ongoing and future client due to your horrible customer service and untrained employees mistake. Little do you know that call was recorded where Amanda, and you admitted your loader made a mistake and I will be passing that on to my credit card company once I file fraud charges to get a refund. Do better next time. I Hope this review will help someone else from getting treated this way.
