Their services include self-checkout and instacart, even Hannaford to go and they will bring everything you ordered to your car. Lots of parking, staff seems friendly. This is a staple in North Brookfield and if it wasn't here there would be a problem. Their pharmacy is nice and convenient, I have all my prescriptions sent here as I am also a local. Nice little market in a nice little town.

Somewhat smaller location when compared to a city; expected with location. Amazing what they fit into location (even has a mini hot bar and olive bar, well kind of). Little make your own pizza section is nifty. Only issue I ever had was 1 moldy items; impressive considering 200+ times i've been over years (was a pre-made calzone, must of been packed hot). Details: Produce: Often fair to good; no real issues other then missing less-common items at times ie; (cilantro, small bell peppers, etc). Veggies are decent and no real complaints. Fruit is also fair to good; sometimes avocados, tomatoes and grapes can be more B quality do to green-packing. Apples are usually excellent with local orchards. Cherries in summer are always fantastic. Meats; typically well stocked; will be outages/missing items at busy times. Pork is is very affordable and often a bargain, overall ok meat. Steak/beef is outrageous (but it is everywhere now) and quality is hit or miss, not alot of stock / selection. Chicken: mostly ok, good selection, usually in stock. hotDogs, hams, bacon, sausage: always fully stocked and good Turkey; never in stock (sad face) Coffee, drinks, almost always well stocked; great selection. Bread isle is probably the worse (still not awful); often un-stocked or missing items; tends to be the more messy isle. Pricing is always moderate range; average full cart ranges at 200-250 range if I am not paying attention. Some price shenanigans; but not awful (they all do it). (My seltzer and coffee beans seem to be hitting inflation like crazy) Staff; always friendly. Lines; not bad, no more than 5mins usually. Covid lockdowns; pretty much gone; no stupid isle markers / arrows, dirty looks or other forced mask mandates. People acting like humans again (always a good thing).

My friend and I wound up in the overflow a little after 11am when the event started. I've always seen signs around when I'm driving in the area for other events or goods that they are selling. In the fall they seem especially popular as well for pumpkins and fall activities. The market area is brightly lit. Given the neighborhood, as everyone else has commented expect prices to be at a premium. The samples we tried at the Strawberry Festival were tasty. My favorite was the short cake. They also offered tickets at $1/ticket for some other paid offerings such as their ice cream which I skipped. They had someone dressed up as the Green Monster so that was a fun photo op for the family too. The event had a lot of staff so each station was moving. In fact one of the owners/managers came by seeing a long queue near the entrance by the pasta said we could walk around to the other stations since no one should be waiting in a line (ignore the line to park and get in haha.) I wouldn't necessarily go out of my way to visit but it's an option for local. I've also gone to Wagon Wheel which is smaller for seasonal / market type items.

The Seafood you get here is the best you will find at any chain grocer. Another savings tip - if you spend so much money on Gladware or other "throw away" tupperware this needs to be a next stop for you. Big Y actually has their own store brand of this tupperware and its just as good, doesn't warp in the dishwasher and they are actually stain resistant. The huge containers are only $4 for a set! They also usually have buy 2 get 1 or some great deal like that all the time. They often do have BOGO or Buy one get 2 or buy 3 get 2 .. you get the idea... but all over the store! Gets very busy on Saturday mornings and of course before snow storms. I still don't quite understand the coin system much but I know when I do use them on applicable items I end up with a tiny biill. If you aren't going to sign up for the store card ($5 annually I beleive) then don't bother shopping at Big Y unless you love to pay more for groceries. Every time they scan my card my bill goes down at least $20. Quality of the produce, meat, and seafood is the best for any chain. The variety can be a little reserved on regular grocery items but I've found that the store brand of what they have is just as good if not better than name brand. I especially like this location because its in a plaza and I can maximize shopping days by visiting any other places I need to while I grocery shop. The store made pizza is better than most local shops!! Recommendation: Shop hungry. Get there, order a pizza from the pizza counter, do your gluttonous shopping, go get the pizza, enjoy a slice in the cafe area across from produce, grab a bottle of wine in the adjacent section, and head on home to finish that bad boy of a pizza....maybe your should order 2 if you have hungry fam waiting at home.

The store seems to empty the bottle room primarily upon customer request which is really inconvenient when you show up with 6 trash bags of bottles and cans, which were purchased at the same store. But the unapologetic attitude I got from customer service and then the store manager sealed the deal. I've dumped Facebook, Amazon, Twitter and Instagram. Big Y is now on my list.
