I never use those self check outs and I was not thinking clearly trying to keep my scarf over my mouth, but when I asked the girl standing next to me for help she kept talking to her friend who agreed that today the store smelled really bad. She didn't help me and I had to drop the milk on the store floor after thinking I had paid but she was yelling at me that my card had not gone through. It was told I had to return to the store to either get the item or get a refund. If i wanted to go into the store, i would have done my own shopping. My other option was to get a refund through Instacart (I don't have an account with them and didn't order through them). I have been using Hannaford's service for over a year and they are the friendliest most helpful you could hope for. I recommend that you DON'T use this service at Price Chopper.p

Little make your own pizza section is nifty. Only issue I ever had was 1 moldy items; impressive considering 200+ times i've been over years (was a pre-made calzone, must of been packed hot). Details: Produce: Often fair to good; no real issues other then missing less-common items at times ie; (cilantro, small bell peppers, etc). Veggies are decent and no real complaints. Fruit is also fair to good; sometimes avocados, tomatoes and grapes can be more B quality do to green-packing. Apples are usually excellent with local orchards. Cherries in summer are always fantastic. Meats; typically well stocked; will be outages/missing items at busy times. Pork is is very affordable and often a bargain, overall ok meat. Steak/beef is outrageous (but it is everywhere now) and quality is hit or miss, not alot of stock / selection. Chicken: mostly ok, good selection, usually in stock. hotDogs, hams, bacon, sausage: always fully stocked and good Turkey; never in stock (sad face) Coffee, drinks, almost always well stocked; great selection. Bread isle is probably the worse (still not awful); often un-stocked or missing items; tends to be the more messy isle. Pricing is always moderate range; average full cart ranges at 200-250 range if I am not paying attention. Some price shenanigans; but not awful (they all do it). (My seltzer and coffee beans seem to be hitting inflation like crazy) Staff; always friendly. Lines; not bad, no more than 5mins usually. Covid lockdowns; pretty much gone; no stupid isle markers / arrows, dirty looks or other forced mask mandates. People acting like humans again (always a good thing).

I had the chance to stop by their Strawberry Festival last month and it was an enjoyable event…read more Unfortunately given the 1 lane road either way they caused their own traffic jam in/out and ran out of parking in the main lot. My friend and I wound up in the overflow a little after 11am when the event started. I've always seen signs around when I'm driving in the area for other events or goods that they are selling. In the fall they seem especially popular as well for pumpkins and fall activities. The market area is brightly lit. Given the neighborhood, as everyone else has commented expect prices to be at a premium. The samples we tried at the Strawberry Festival were tasty. My favorite was the short cake. They also offered tickets at $1/ticket for some other paid offerings such as their ice cream which I skipped. They had someone dressed up as the Green Monster so that was a fun photo op for the family too. The event had a lot of staff so each station was moving. In fact one of the owners/managers came by seeing a long queue near the entrance by the pasta said we could walk around to the other stations since no one should be waiting in a line (ignore the line to park and get in haha.) I wouldn't necessarily go out of my way to visit but it's an option for local. I've also gone to Wagon Wheel which is smaller for seasonal / market type items.
