Outstanding!! I had two sets of tires on 2 vehicles on two separate days. The inside desk person was friendly and nice. Tires were put on I was out of there in 45 minutes for the first set, and 28 minutes the second. No complaints no BS. purchased online and made an appointment. Can't do that at Town Fair Tire. Save yourself grief and DO NOT use Walmart grocery delivery service. First, Walmart has no way of knowing if an item will be "in stock" when your order is pulled from stock. Second, the order pickers have major troubles knowing where things are in the store; may last order contained (2) CR2032 button batteries. There were not in the delivery yet I was charged for them. Calling the store is useless; no one wants to take any responsibility for deliveries. They credited my batteries but will not deliver them. My complaint is about the phone repair company in the Leicester store. I had a phone screen replacement. After the replacement the phone never worked properly again. I returned to the repair store and was met with a shrug and basically an "oh well" attitude. I ended up having to replace the phone. So my more than $100 repair, cost me $200 more to replace the phone. I think the repair store is a total rip-off. It's too bad that Walmart hosts such a terrible service in it's store. read more

Walmart Auto Services is a really good place to get your car serviced! They are very reasonably priced, don't play any games, and do a really good job of taking care of you. I got my Toyota Corolla S 2012 serviced here (oil change, tire rotation, and fixing a flat) and got everything done in less than 75 bucks! Visited this store for the first time today- After checking on the website to confirm they had items in stock- specifically was intending to purchase 2020 NFL card box as a gift- website said they were in stock. Website said they has single packs and hanger boxes of football and baseball cards in stock- I called the store & no one picked up. I Made a special 20 mile trip to the store only to find the entire aisle of sports cards was empty- nothing- I went to the customer service desk and the woman said she didn't know where to find them or when they would get stocked. This review is for the tire center- I always go to this Wal-Mart as I live very close by. I've always got my oil changes done there, no issues except they are always SO busy (which I know they can't control). Anyways, my tire was basically flat when I got out of work one day. By the time I picked up my daughter from daycare, no where else was open so I took it here. They close at 7pm. I got there at 5:30 and I was told they couldn't take my car. I explained I just need it plugged, I'm going to wake up to a flat tire in the morning. Nope, wouldn't take my car. A plug takes barely any time at all. So I had to buy a plug kit and plug it myself. I was so frustrated. Then, this past weekend my tire is almost flat again (somehow picked up another screw) so I was going to replace my tire because again they were the only place open. I got there around 3pm and they told my boyfriend they couldn't take the car because the person coming in at 4pm called out so they were closing early. Two times this happened to us in a couple of weeks. I won't bring my car back even for an oil change anymore. read more

Shopping at the Leicester Walmart has slowly become something that I dread. I have been a regular since it opened and used to loved it. The clothes were kind of cute and food/produce/meats were usually pretty good and of course the prices were dirt cheap. The past year however I started noticing a downward trend. Merchandise is often damaged, opened or lacking quality altogether. Food items not fresh at all. Fruit flies around the produce! Even worse tho, Employees have become more and more rude with every visit I'd make. Cashiers have complained to me about their bosses and other customers as I am checking out. They have been clueless when Ive needed assistance, often talking down to me. So unprofessional! The last straw for me was on 9/9/2019 at 1:00pm. There is an over weight man with white hair who often works at the self check out area. He's usually pretty rude when directing people towards an available self check out spot. On this day, it was pretty empty in the store so he was sitting on a bench in front of the salon. In fact there were a few other store employees just sitting on these benches doing nothing that afternoon. When I walked by him he was biting his fingernails and then he would turn his head to SPIT the finger nails out of his mouth into the main aisle and opening of the hair salon. I watched in disgust as he did this multiple times as I was approaching him. I said to him "That was disgusting!" He wouldn't even look at me, he only looked straight ahead like I didn't even matter. I went there tonight for a few things after work and wanted to use the self checkout. I had a few questions and the 2 workers (one a young man and older woman) there were just talking to each other. It appeared to be a non work conversation. The woman acted like I was bothering her. The young man was being helpful. I was having trouble with the stuff I was buying and trying to bag at the same time. I said to them that there should be extra carriages there like bj's , but the woman just ridiculed me of how I was amusing her of not knowing what I was doing. She actually said after I just got off work as a home health aide in my scrubs that "you must have used up your brain for the day". I do not usually shop at Walmart, especially not for food anymore. In the past, however, one thing had been consistently good at a very good price---their deli rotisserie chickens. This has changed, and I have never been so disgusted in my life. First of all, their basic rotisserie chickens have gotten considerably smaller (at $4.98, can you really complain?). But the last time I bought one, there were feathers still clinging onto both wings (not just a few hairs), and to one of the drumsticks---totally gross! The Leicester store is the worst Walmart store I have ever been to. 12/14/2019 I went to pick up my prescription for diabetic test strips. The person who greeted me STARED DIRECTLY AT ME as he asked me my Last name, First name, and DOB. It was very, very rude and he does this EVERY TIME I go to this pharmacy. He told me he had the test strips but could not give them to me "because the script was transferred to us from the Sturbridge store." He continued, "Medicare has very specific rules and we have to have a new prescription in order to give them to you". THIS WAS A BOLD FACED LIE !! My wife and I traveled the country for 4 years in our motor home, using Walmart Pharmacies all over the country. We routinely had scripts transferred BETWEEN STATES and never, ever had a problem, UNTIL WE USED THE LEICESTER STORE! The Pharmacy personnel are incompetent and the only customer service skills they possess are HORRENDOUS. While shopping for spices, I found that the shelves for the spices were not arranged alphabetically like EVERY OTHER STORE in the country; NO, they were totally randomly placed. Aisle after aisle has empty product trays and many, many dented cans. The produce section routinely has empty bins and I hardly ever see an employee working there. Employees routinely just stand around and talk to each other personally, not job-related talk at all. Someone needs to kick ass in this store and get rid of a lot of people and stay on top of the people they keep. read more

I need to get four new tires for my car and was thinking about having it done at the Leicester location. I spent hours doing research online to find out what tires they have and services etc. I still had a few questions so I called the Auto Service center's number, ring, ring, ring,ring....more than 20 rings NO answer. Hmmm, okay so I called the main store number hoping I would be transfered to them maybe on a different line that would be answered. Ring, ring, ring.....again more than 20 rings and NO ONE answered the phone!!! I was stunned! My business with purchasing the tires will now go to Town Fair Tire, even though it's much further away for us. At least they answered their phone! How can you run a store like that! read more

First off, you sell your soul a little bit each time you go to walmart. Unfortunately its the only store in leicester unless you count gas stations, so i have to die a little bit each day when i need to buy some milk or sugar. What happened to this location? Prefer driving here instead of going to closer locations such as Worcester. From the looks of it so are a lot of other people. Sunday at 1130 am and the place was packed that is not the issue. Get into the store and find plenty of registers open for the time and the hour. Did not have to interact with staff at all so that is not the issue. The stock level was shameful however, in the food section you would have whole sections empty. While I was shopping I noticed associates filling orders for online shoppers and the place was busy but stock levels need to be addressed because I found all the things I was shopping for but you missed out on residual impulse purchases I would have made so I did not have to go to two places read more

For some reason Walmart stores in the middle of nowhere/hillbilly neighborhoods are better than regular walmarts. This store is huge, clean and well stocked. They have self checkout lanes for your convenience and they are easy to use. Prices are super low. I could spend hours looking at all the groceries. They are priced way reasonably. Never Again! Just left this Walmart have been a customer for years. Today I arrived with my 3 kids . All had their own money to purchase several different things. Anyway we use self checkout, as I always do now that Walmart has this option, because quite frankly the whole checkout process is sooo much quicker if I do it myself . Anyway... self checkout "cashier " immediately approached me and says "You look like you need help." I am an extremely easy going person. I laugh and say "No they are purchasing things separately with their own money so we may be a while but I think I can handle it." Bear in mind store is not busy at this time and ALL other self checkouts are available throughout this entire transaction. In other words we are NOT holding anybody up. First Child completes transaction. Second ,(a teenager) is scanning her stuff, and the woman is back . "I can just help you do this , I think you need help." I am getting slightly annoyed at this point but say "No thank you, it's really not that complicated." (That's right Leicester Walmart employees I said it ! This is not rocket science!) She's back in a minute , again. "No thank you." Now I am becoming angry. I have just cashed a check and have a lot of money in my purse. I go to grab my wallet from my bag to pay , with cash . I find the loose change I need before I insert larger bills,and now she is over my shoulder literally next to my face leaning over my pocketbook. She says , "I just need to see a receipt for these things that you did not bag yet." These "Things " are on bagging table that do not fit in bags! Mind you I don't have a receipt yet, i have not finished the transaction, I have not completed payment , IAM TRYING TO PAY. It Freaks me out that she is so close , like suspiciously close to me , my children , and my money! I instinctively try to grab my pocketbook but of course I knock it to the ground . ACTUALLY it falls against this woman who then steps back and bag falls to ground dumping contents , destroying an eyeshadow that was in my purse . As I am now picking up the contents of my purse ,which btw... contained ZERO stolen items., She continues to ask, "Where is your receipt??!!!" This is harassment I am done being nice. I turn and stare at her , I tell her she needs to back off immediately . I said "I will not be showing you a receipt. I have a better idea...maybe stop stalking me while I try to pay, is there a manager I could speak with?" This is when she is no longer brave and runs off. This was 45 minutes ago and I am still extremely angry. Very bad Walmart , total fail. Oh and I would like to add that at this point I had already spent over $100 in electronics . This second purchase was about $30 worth of random stuff my kids found on clearance. I have never stolen anything from a store in my entire life! A few years ago this Walmart used to be the best! I would drive 20 mins from Worcester just to come to this Walmart. But moved to Florida and recently moved back to Worcester and was excited to return to this Walmart but I was definitely wrong! From the minute I FIRST WALK IN this rude ass employee looking my son and I up in down.. mind you he's 6! This review is for the Tire Center at the Leicester MA location. I purchased 4 tires at Walmart.com and had them shipped (for free) to this location for mounting and balancing. The price was right and they took less than a week to arrive. Trying to get them installed was where things went sideways. The first time I drove to the store on a Thursday the employee told me he couldn't help me. I arrived at 5PM and they close at 7. This was complete BS. There was 1 car in the bay for an oil change. I went back on Saturday morning as soon as they opened and was told it was going to take 2 hours! I decided to wait but after 1 hour they hadn't even touched my car. I decided to ask for a refund and purchase my tires elsewhere. Never again will I try to buy tires at this or any other Walmart. read more

This walmart doesn't play music because a customer complained that it was against her religion. That's just the tip of the iceberg concerning this ridiculously understaffed and disgusting store. Despite the fact that there are over 20 registers, there are rarely more than 6 open and 4 of them are express lanes! The customer service at this store STINKS and the produce is DISGUSTING. There is a constant supply of fruit flies and birds in this store (yes birds, they fly in through the electronic doors) and the produce is constantly rotten or on the brink of rotting. This review pertains to the Leicester wireless store. I went in to look at an Iphone 5 and a Galaxy Note II. Found the staff there pretty knowledgeable, friendly, and laid back. There was no pressure to buy, and they didn't try to make anything up if they didn't know the answer. Plus, their pricing was very competitive. The only reason I continue to shop here is because it's pretty much the only gig in town. If I want to shop elsewhere, I have to drive to Spencer or Worcester (I loathe Worcester) and then I end up paying more for groceries and gas. I find myself consistently let down by the grocery section of this "super store." Their produce section is horrible. Half the time, the produce is on it's last legs. I've experienced moldy onions, wilted lettuce, avocados that are rotten when you get them home and cut into them. Their meat section is deplorable. The ONLY type of meat I'll buy there is frozen chicken, frozen shrimp, and occasionally hamburger. Want good cuts of steak? Nice stew meats? Forget it. More often than not, their cuts are either sloppily done, or the meat is discolored and going bad, or both. To top it off, I bought bad rolls today (usually one of the things that I can trust). I was in a hurry, as dinner needed to be cooked, and I was only there to grab the few ingredients I had forgotten. I got home, only to discover that the rolls were very moldy. (that'll show me for being in a hurry.) My husband then points out to me that, yeah, they're obviously going to be moldy, the expiration date was 4/4/11. Today is 5/23/11. So apparently, no one bothered to yank the rolls off the shelf, nearly TWO MONTHS after they've gone bad. I hate that this store pretty much has a monopoly in our little town. If a new store opened tomorrow with comparable prices, I would quit shopping there and never look back. read more

LOL,I usually love this Walmart but not on Sunday,7-30-2017.Went to buy a home computer,decent selection,asked Jill to for the laptop in the bin(locked up) and a printer.Brought my Walmart cc with me and asked Jill for the 6 month no interest plan if payed in full,after running everything through the register the receipt showed no 6 month if payed in full on receipt.I asked Jill where it shows on the receipt about the plan,she replied that when I get the bill in the mail that it "might" show the 6 months special.Not satisfied with the response I asked for someone else to help out so she call Joseph,again no clue whatsoever.Then they call the CSM Kate/Cate.She could not figure it out either but then the best part is when she told me that when the bill comes in that I should pay it in full and that way I could avoid any interest because that's what she does,NO KIDDING,REALLY,OMG???? Had to go to customer service to return merchandise.My best advice is to run to Best Buy and avoid the electronics section at Wally world. read more

No, I do NOT work for Wal-Mart first of all! I actually detest most Wal-Marts, but this is the one I actually LIKE shopping in. The store itself is huge, clean, and usually not too busy, which is a nice change from other smaller Wal-Marts where you literally need a traffic light to help you get past other people and their carriages in skinny aisles. I personally have never had a problem with anything I have purchased here, like clothing or food. In the 4 years I have been going here, I had one employee snap at my son because he was spinning the thing that holds the plastic shopping bags....I corrected her pretty quick!! The only reason me and my family choose to shop at Walmart is because it is the only store in town, we have chosen the convience of shopping locally despite the poor quality of their groceries and lack of customer service. we have watched the store steadily decline since it opened, however I never dreamed that our personal safety would be in question,this past summer my daughter went to Walmart in Leicester one morning to do some grocery shopping. She entered the store withdrew some money from the ATM located inside the store and proceeded up and down the isles shopping. She only managed to put a few items in her cart when she was attacked from behind by a man who had followed her from the cash machine,she struggled with him as it was the only money she had to buy food for her 4 year old son.Her attacker was much bigger and stronger than her and threw her to the ground grabbed her purse and ran out of the store. there was no Walmart security to help,if it were not for several shoppers that came to her aid she could have been severly injured or worse,one of the men who helped her, struggled with the attacker and was injured himself, Walmart did nothing.A quick thinking bystander saw her attacker run out of the store and followed him and called the police informing them of what happened and his location,this along with the fast acting Leicester police led to his capture. The only thing Walmart did was to make sure she paid for the 10.00 dollars worth of groceries in her cart,that was there main concern.No I'm sorry or thank yous to the shoppers who helped her. The entire store and parking lot is covered by cameras and this incident went unnoticed, But I would bet if you went in there and stole a candy bar they would be right on it.In my opinion they do not care one bit about there customers safety as demonstrated by their actions or lack there of,Let this review serve as a public service message to anyone who reads it and let all your friends and family know that they need to have a heightened awareness if they shop at Walmart,be aware of your surroundings and do not rely on Walmart to protect you.I would like to thank the people who helped my daughter,if it were not for them this incident could have had a trajic outcome. read more
