With no fabric store within 50 miles, they took out most of the fabric, leaving a few remnants and the rest prepackaged yards. They no longer carry fleece, and they don't even carry felt squares. Many other items I used to buy have been removed from the store as well, so finding what I am looking for has become much more difficult across the board. PS - the staff has been doing their best, I'm sure they have been receiving a lot of complaints like mine. I surely hope things improve when this is all over!

They offer daily lunch specials, many of which feature their fantastic smoked meats. Their smoked sausages and bacon are delicious too. As you would expect of a general store, they offer a little bit of everything. Clothing, food, liquor, etc. Their efforts to support other local small businesses shows their dedication to the community. The staff are really friendly as well. I loved everything about Singleton's....came back three days in a row just to order their lunch special and pick up some odds and ends. Even ran my dogs around in their snowy picnic area outside. When the cashier asked if we are members of the supermarket, we said we are from out of town. Birch actually gave us members discount. It saved us more than $7! So nice! There really is not a lot of choices to do grocery shopping in Manchester. Price Chopper is a decent option.
