Such poor customer service... when we walked in, there were 2 employees who were talking to each other, and didn't stop their conversation. No greeting, no acknowledgement. I wanted to ask a question but they literally just kept talking to each other. And then both of them just went to the back and disappeared. I was so turned off by their behavior, we just walked out. There are a lot more fruit stands/stores so just saying, this isn't your only option. read more

Stopped by on our way our of Leavenworth during the Christmas season and let's be honest, it didn't look like much. They had produce outside in a dingy gray tented off barn area where no one was outside attending, so we honestly thought they were closed. We stopped anyway because my sister wanted pears. We go inside and what a difference. There's a lady in there selling really cool items. There's definitely a feminine bent (think Cracker Barrel gift shop type items) and everything is very classy, yet welcoming. In the back they sell food items. They had samples of chips and salsa that were so good, we got both. Plus Sis found a jar of the type of cherries you find in a manhattan, which she is always craving, so she was thrilled. It's a foodie's paradise back there, and we wouldn't have known it if Sis wasn't jonesing for pears, so thanks to her, we found a roadside treasure. read more

So, I've come to this Fruit stand slash local store for a few years. And I travel over Steven's pass to do this. So it's not close. I give it a three star because it's a first time for me with this. The staff is super friendly. Very nice. Some years, they have really awesome produce. This year they had an unnamed pear that was a new variety from their orchard. They had a display of watermelon from local orchards. I figured I could trust this...but when I got home, this is what I got. Barely any color or flavor. Very disappointing. They used to sample their produce. I think this cut down on bad produce. This was unacceptable from a fruit stand in my opinion. It won't affect my decision to return. But maybe never trusting the watermelon! read more

Farm stands bring me so much joy. Part of the excitement is deciding to pull off to the side of the road and feel *slightly* spontaneous for pulling the trigger and stopping. Pulling over to Prey's was a great decision. This light and airy red barn is open to the mountains overlooking an orchard across the street. Inside you'll find a variety of honey including jars and straws, Rainer cherries, handicrafts, produce, preserves and one of the highlights from our visit: truffle popcorn (made and packaged in Washington). We strolled out with the cherries, honey straws and truffle popcorn. The popcorn was so good I had to hunt it down in Indiana. The gentleman working was very friendly and laid back. You'll find an easy to access parking lot in front (right off the road) and the side room of the barn is filled with country-style handicrafts. read more

A quaint little spot with good fruit! There seemed to be a small selection of fruit but the fruit they had was delicious. I loved the fact that the peaches, nectarines and plums were not over ripe. They had a little crunch to it and the flavor was very sweet. The worker was friendly and allowed me to sample a whole fruit. I can't recall the name of it but it was a cross between a plum and an apricot. The outside color was green and on the inside was red, and oh so yummy. Don't judge this little guy by it's cover. Next door on either side was a gift shop and on the other, a quilting store. The bathroom was outside in a little separate building, like an outhouse but with real plumbing. They were so clean!! The outside grounds and landscaping was very well kept and beautiful. Loved stopping here and I'd recommend to anyone. read more

This place is clean and cute, but didn't have as much fruit as I was hoping. We went in early august. The Rainer cherries were good. The peaches were not. They were totally flavorless, which was a bummer. If you keep driving towards Brewster, there are many more fruit stands to choose from. read more

The fruit looked great but there wasn't a huge selection on the day we visited recently. Maybe we came at a bad time. There was a good selection of syrups and honies and preserves, and all looked pretty darn amazing. My kids tasted the honies multiple times, to be sure they were good (!), which, apparently, they were! We ended up buying some apple blossom honey, some honey sticks, and a silicone jar opener (expensive but I've never seen these before, as they affix to glass or a fridge door and can be washed in the dishwasher. Cool!). There was also an adjacent room with wines, and dried fruits, and a wine tasting room too. Look for the biggest American flag in the world out front; can't miss it. read more

Not satisfied with the fruit. Bought a bag of golden apples, and a week later over half of the apples showed bruises. These apples were to be a gift, but we cannot share low quality fruit. read more

He had a great supply and price for fresh Rainer cherries and coral champagne red cherries (I have never heard about these but am glad it was wonderful timing when I discovered them here, they are so delicious!). His fruits were fresher then the other fruit/produce store about 10 min away, which had really bruised Rainer cherries and were still selling them at market price :-( I am so happy to have found this place, it is a great stop on the way (and back from) Leavenworth for good fruits! read more

25 lbs of apples and pears for only $19?? Such a great deal! My family has been buying from Prey's since I was in grade school, and I love making the annual trip to buy fresh fall produce at Prey's. Great selection, lots of lovely description about the different uses, tastes, and textures of the apples. Beautiful quality and well-displayed. read more

A special shout out to Chuck Reppas the owner of Prey's Fruit Barn and Orchards. I am a new resident at an Active Senior Living apartment building. Some of the residents have limited access to resources outside of the immediate area. Chuck helped us put together an order for several folks, having all of their orders boxed up and ready to go. They were able to enjoy the fresh, premium apples, pears, and plums for which Prey's is justifiably known. Thank you Chuck for going the extra mile for our seniors! The fruit was AMAZING, your advice and guidance completely on point. Everyone loved it. As usual my family really enjoyed our trip to Leavenworth. The food, the shops and the trip to Prey's made it a fantastic family outing. read more

Cute little place right outside of Leavenworth and worth the stop! The guy working was very nice and knowledgeable and offered lots of samples of all the fresh fruits they had. Prices were pretty good as well. read more

Stopped in here on our way back to Seattle from Leavenworth. At this time of year, this stand has apples, pears, and that's about it. However, I have never seen so many types of apples in one place in my life! They have mixed boxes of slightly blemished apples with 40 pounds for $25 and perfect looking boxes with 25 pounds for $19.75. We got a box of Braeburn apples. I was kind of expecting to have some blemished apples in a box with 25 pounds, but so far they've all been great! We made some apple sauce and apple butter, which came out delicious! Definitely worth a stop if you're looking for bulk apples or pears on your way home from Leavenworth. read more

Not sure everything is from local farms since I saw produces with PLU sticker. However, this place has samples so you can try before you buy, also the seller is very knowledgeable and I had a chance to try a new squash! It has good variety of apples and squash this time. read more

I have driven by this place several times over the years but have never stopped...until this last weekend when we were taking a mountain loop road trip and I wanted some apples to take back home to western WA. The place is clean, well organized, great looking produce at fair prices. Fun play area for the kids and they have a cow train! I wanted honeycrisp apples but they did not have any, however they recommended Sweet Tango apples. The man that helped me was super nice and even asked if I wanted a sample since I have never tried this type....OMG so crisp, a tiny bit more tart than a honeycrisp but still sweet too, so good! I got about 8 lbs. @ $1.99/lb right now. Their nectarines looked great too. They also had a huge store inside with local made popcorn, Aplets & Cotlets (of course!), and other local foods and drinks. Such a great variety....will definitely be back when we come across the mountains! read more
