I am local to the area and for years have chosen to buy at Krampus to support local businesses. I recently called about a board game and was informed they could order it for me. I have had them do this in the past and gave them my info. They called me back later the same day to say that they had a 'like new' used version of the game in stock, and said I could pick it up today. I said sure and dropped in later the same dayw. The used game as 90% of the price of the new - and I found it new online for the same price - but again, I want to support local, so I went ahead and purchased it. When I got home and opened the used game was not the same as a new game. It was an older version of it, without the updated ruleset, without changes to the board and pieces. It was significantly different and less refined. We recently visited some friends and played the newer version of the game, the version that inspired us to purchase the game, the version I thought I was buying. IT was so much better than the version I was sold. I was a local, loyal customer. I could have bought the game online for the same price. I chose them, and they let me down. read more

My son and I came to visit this place about three years ago and it's always been in the back of our mind to come back again. Super cool place to check out some amazing games and things out of the ordinary please the service was great very friendly staff and the selection was incredible. The value for your buck is great! Review: Krampus Cave - Leavenworth, WA Krampus Cave should be my happy place. It's a cozy little nerd haven filled with comics, manga, board games, RPGs, and collectible goodness from Funko POPs to figurines that whisper "you don't need rent this month." The selection is great, the vibe is delightfully offbeat, and the atmosphere screams "come in and lose track of time and money." But then... silence. Not the good kind. Not the peaceful, contemplative kind. I'm talking about the "staff are actively pretending customers don't exist" kind. No greeting, no eye contact, not even a passive-aggressive nod. Just the unmistakable aura of Comic Book Guy from The Simpsons minus the charm. It's a shame, really. With a little more human interaction, say, the bare minimum acknowledgment of another living being, I might've walked out with a stack of impulse buys. Instead, I walked out wondering if I'd somehow cast Invisibility on myself when I walked in. Krampus Cave could learn a thing or two from places like Zulus Board Game Cafe or MOX Boarding House over on the west side of the Cascades, where staff are friendly, helpful, and don't look like they're being punished for working a shift. In short: great store, great stuff, meh service. I'd love to spend my money there... but only if someone eventually notices I exist. read more

A hoard of treasures worthy of the grinchiest of Grinches, without the grumpy attitude! Helpful employees, a surprisingly robust stock of board games, card games, RPGs, dice, comics, art books, toys, figurines, manga, apparel and accessories, anime memorabilia, sake(!?) and Asian snack foods, *mostly* Japanese. Looks like there's even a pub stashed away at the back, but it wasn't in operation the last time we stopped in. Considering we find ourselves in Leavenworth just about every year at Christmas time, it's a solid bet that at least a couple of the kids' Christmas presents came from the Krampus Kave! This is the sort of place I would hang out personally, if I lived in Leavenworth and, who knows? Maybe someday I will, considering how much my wife and I love it here! read more

Nice shop with large selection of current comics and games, staff was friendly, prices are retail, back issue prices are reasonable.

I am not entirely sure if this would be considered a card /comic store but it definitely is a interesting store in the less. They had a lot of cool items when the kids to look at, Seemed like a cross in between a Spencer's gifts TV theme store and a card shop pushed into 1. Definitely a happy surprise for the children and as Germantown. We've met I have now a browsing and left with just a pack above I'm on cards. It seemed to have a lot to look at but not a lot of a specific them. If you got some well kiddos sick of looking at don't shops this deathland place to come by and grab something fun entertainment for the rest of the shopping. read more

I stopped at all the comic book shops on my travels. I like this one. The name, the sign and the location, perfect. These guys have quite a bit in there small space. It's not cramped, or claustrophobic. These guys also kind of specialize in complete series. In other words, instead of buying 15 comic books, you can buy one book that has all 15 comics in it these days. These guys have a lot of them, I bought heroes in crisis. If you're a comic geek like me, it's worth the stop. read more

The store is spacious and fully stocked with comics, novels, figurines, candies, DnD supplies, etc. There's even an area in the back corner for table games. We're from out of town attending Oktoberfest, and it was our first time visiting their shop. We had no idea they were closing soon but they let us browse an extra 10-15 mins, which was so nice of them. It made our purchases and memories of this shop extra special! Pretty neat place. It is tucked away so you do have to locate this hidden gem. Tons of comics, funko pops, RPG games etc. This place is a dream come true for hardcore fans. I love Leavenworth, but more and more it has become a place for wine, luxury goods and expensive dining than not. This place is a gem for the opposite reason. It's an easygoing awesome store. The staff is friendly and they have a really surprisingly nice selection for both the newbie gamer/nerd culture fanatic and the more hardcore and grizzled nerds. They have a great selection organized by common popular culture and media. Admittedly the store could use more stuff, a bigger selection of things, but they do have SOME of everything. Even some of the more offbeat Roleplaying games I enjoy were represented. They have awesome taste, and good and respectable taste in a nerd-culture comic/game shop is a must. I'm in Leavenworth a lot and have a feeling this is going to be a must-stop-by place for me and my friends. Love it! Awesome vibe. Great products. Nice staff. The selection is a bit lacking but they are new, and I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt. This was a great find, in the middle of Leavenworth, or as I call it, Hallmark Central. When I saw it had comics I thought it would just be a few newer issues, but it had a ton of stuff. Also, has lots of geeky board games, and a decent RPG section. This puts many gaming stores in the Seattle area to shame. If your looking for games to play, or comics to read, on those boring Leavenworth evenings, this is the place to find them. read more
