A hoard of treasures worthy of the grinchiest of Grinches, without the grumpy attitude! Helpful employees, a surprisingly robust stock of board games, card games, RPGs, dice, comics, art books, toys, figurines, manga, apparel and accessories, anime memorabilia, sake(!?) and Asian snack foods, *mostly* Japanese. Looks like there's even a pub stashed away at the back, but it wasn't in operation the last time we stopped in. Considering we find ourselves in Leavenworth just about every year at Christmas time, it's a solid bet that at least a couple of the kids' Christmas presents came from the Krampus Kave! This is the sort of place I would hang out personally, if I lived in Leavenworth and, who knows? Maybe someday I will, considering how much my wife and I love it here!

Closes early, so get to it mid day

I am not entirely sure if this would be considered a card /comic store but it definitely is a interesting store in the less. They had a lot of cool items when the kids to look at, Seemed like a cross in between a Spencer's gifts TV theme store and a card shop pushed into 1. Definitely a happy surprise for the children and as Germantown. We've met I have now a browsing and left with just a pack above I'm on cards. It seemed to have a lot to look at but not a lot of a specific them. If you got some well kiddos sick of looking at don't shops this deathland place to come by and grab something fun entertainment for the rest of the shopping.

I stopped at all the comic book shops on my travels. I like this one. The name, the sign and the location, perfect. These guys have quite a bit in there small space. It's not cramped, or claustrophobic. These guys also kind of specialize in complete series. In other words, instead of buying 15 comic books, you can buy one book that has all 15 comics in it these days. These guys have a lot of them, I bought heroes in crisis. If you're a comic geek like me, it's worth the stop.

Great new comic/game/hobby/toy/anime/manga shop in Leavenworth! Precisely what the town needs!

Nice shop with large selection of current comics and games, staff was friendly, prices are retail, back issue prices are reasonable.

Still, it's a fantastic shop to find small toys, gifts and stocking stuffers for the littles. Everything from books and games, puzzles, stuffed animals, blocks and bricks, rubber figurines, finger puppets, fidgets, dice, gag gifts and, yes, true to its name, lots of wooden toys in various forms and functions. Need a rubber band gun, or a prop plane powered by a similar elastic engine? This is your place. As someone who has recently become a father for the first time (and maybe this is the curmudgeon in me talking), but toys that provide hands-on, analog stimulation are far more enriching and engaging that the endless, mindless crap spit out by the algorithms behind YouTube and TikTok. The Wood Shop is the kind of store that specializes in the types of toys that were popular before smartphones became the ubiquitous child distraction devices that they are today. On that point alone, I'm glad it's here, and (seemingly) thriving.

Chelan Toys & Sweets is the second place in Downtown Chelan that serves hard scoop ice cream, with the other being the ice cream parlor located in The Landing. Both of these places are within short walking distance of each other on E Woodin Ave, on opposite sides of the street. The prices at Chelan Toys & Sweets (see photo) are lower than those at The Landing, and they also make floats, flurries, shakes and dirty sodas. While the ice cream at The Landing had more of a gourmet or homemade flavor, the ice cream here was still good enough for our party, especially when it came down to the kids' tastes. Comparing our separate visits to these two establishments, we spent about $30 at The Landing and $20 at Chelan Toys & Sweets for similar orders/quantities of ice cream. Also worth mentioning: the wait lines are much shorter here than at The Landing (probably because tourists see The Landing when they first come into town, and not this place). The staff who served us was very cordial and shared their opinions on the store's most popular dirty soda (when asked), as well as let us sample a few of the cream flavors (they had 24) in advance. Bringing up The Parlor as a comparison one more time, although their ice cream was good, it came at a higher cost combined with longer lines and impersonal, "assembly line" service (with no samples). In contrast, the ice cream counter at Chelan Toys & Sweets had more menu items/options, lower prices, and a personal, "local" (not touristy) atmosphere.

My partner tried the rocky road and I forget the other flavor, but both were amazing. My photo the scoop looks a little flat because I couldn't wait to try some! Prices are a bit high but for chelan, very average so it's a good deal. A lot of ice cream for an order! If you're in Chelan, this place is really great for ice cream

I've had multiple less than pleasant encounters that I have tried to brush off because there isn't many alternatives in the valley. He has trying to tell me a $60 item was $80, I'm assuming in hopes that I hadn't already looked at the sticker that he put on the box saying $60? Then when I pointed out that the sticker said it was $60, he decided to go on an unprovoked rant and guilt me for buying it because the distributor is hard to work with. I don't work for Bandai, I'm sorry? I also messaged the store Facebook page on a Monday to ask if they would take a trade and he told me that they are closed on Mondays and I should respect that and not message him... Like he is somehow forced to work and couldn't have just checked it the next day? The message wasn't from James Bond, it did not expire after opening and could have been responded to any of the seven days that week. It's not the customer's fault if you don't know how to take a day off? The store is clean but the inventory is very limited and rarely changes. Can't say I recommend stopping by because you'll spend longer walking inside from your car then it takes you to peruse their two shelves. One of which is just filled to the brim with basic Funkos so if that's not your thing... 1 and 1/2 shelves. I support small businesses but not bad business owners. If you were up for a short trip to Leavenworth, I would recommend Krampus Kave which is everything the time capsule wants to be with a much better inventory and more inviting atmosphere. If that's too far, this is the one time I would truly say Amazon is the better option in every way which is really sad because I do not say support Jeff Bezos lightly
