While traveling I decided to try something new (I usually eat at Wetzel's) and I was greatly disappointed. The food was good, nothing to write home about but I am speaking more to the staff. Specifically, this giant of a boy is the manager here and has no business being in charge. Imagine, if you will, a world where a 6'5" (I'm guessing here) manchild is berating customers and employees with no concern of retribution.
Let me provide examples:
1. Telling children below the age of 5 to put on masks or they will not be helped. - First off you blundering moron, the mask mandates do not apply to children under five. If I were you I would at least know the rules before berating small children.
2. Berating a sick employee who shouldn't have been there, to begin with. After realizing there were sick employees who shouldn't be touching food, making drinks, or even touching the materials used to make the food (pans, ingredients etc) I paid a little more attention and heard the manchild berate a young woman for not working hard enough and wanting to go home. I believe he said, suck it up (or something like that) and get back to work. I would love to see this mental midget try that with someone like me. The patrons would be yelling, "TIMBER" as this man-boy and his ego took a great fall.
3. It is obvious this monster is power-hungry and simply needs to feel better about himself because he is simply a go nowhere, do nothing human living in a basement somewhere and spending all his money on the internet trolling all the girls who turned him down in high school.
Now to the serious part of this review:
1. If you read the reviews here and on other sites, this guy has been an issue for a long time and the corporate office is not addressing it. While Media Kathleen Shaffer (Phone: (470) 388-6170 * Email: shaffer@gfgmanagement.com) is just the media contact, she is the only person listed on the corporate website to reach out to. I highly suggest this is done by everyone with an issue until they address it.
2. I am sure this is a franchise location and I would bet money the guy got his job from his only friend's parent or maybe it is his parent, and they know he will never amount to anything beyond the pretzel counter. Too bad they allow this type of behavior to continue for so long.
So let me wrap this up.
If you can stomach watching a giant man-child berate employees, treat children, and other clients with disrespect, then this is the place to grab a good-tasting pretzel when Wetzel's isn't available. read more
