So once we placed the order and tried to pay it didn't work. He asked another lady who said we don't take that. He said oh the system isn't set up for gift cards. (They seems to be the owners) Umm what? I was a little aggravated and left without the order. If they were knowledgeable I would have paid for it.

Asked for receipt and was told she could only give it to me via email. I said that's fine. Got the receipt and she charged me for a 2nd sauce I didn't order. Told her about the mistake and she admitted it wasn't a mistake that she charged me for 2 because most people come back for a 2nd one. I understand offering it as an option, but just charging a customer for something unordered without their knowledge seems a bit unethical to put it mildly. She gave me .75 back, but when I looked at it it was .55. She then gave me the correct change. It seems like a small thing, but just think how many people a day they do this to. Sure adds up. They're robbing their consumers. I bet if I just took a sauce and didn't pay for it she'd have a problem, but seemed to have no problem charging me for something I didn't order. I told her "Now I know why you don't give receipts". Beware when purchasing from here. THEY ARE THIEVES!!!

If you haven't tried, Kurt's it is a must. A cup of goulash is to die for. The service is outstanding on steroids. Very warm and inviting romantic setting.

We arrived 15 minutes before our reservation, but were told our table was already ready, so we were seated. (The restaurant tables are very close together, so be aware that if anyone in your party is wheelchair bound, it may be difficult for them to maneuver around.) The restaurant is kept very warm inside, and I'm usually someone who feels cold easily, but even I was rather hot. A woman brought water glasses and a water carafe to our table and said, "If you want something besides water, just let me know," and then walked off. So, in my mind, that woman was a food assistant or a food runner. Turned out, she was our waitress! She later stopped by, didn't introduce herself and didn't ask if we'd ever been there before, but did ask if we wanted an appetizer. We ordered Potato Pancakes. She also asked if we wanted bread service, so we said yes. We did notice from other conversations at the very close tables near ours, that many of the customers are regulars and have their favorite waitstaff. The manager had stopped by a table to regrettably inform a couple that their favorite waiter was out for 2 weeks. So, that did give us hope that if they have regulars, it must be good. The Potato Pancakes were delicious! (I didn't even stop to snap a picture because we were very hungry!) My husband ordered the "Bier" + Cheese Burger ($16.95), and I ordered the Pork Shank "Schwweinehaxe" ($34). The waitress said she had to check the availability of the Pork Shank, so I told her that if it wasn't available, to put in Chicken Wienerschnitzel. Then she didn't come back to let us know what the kitchen said. My husband flagged her down to find out if the pork shank was available, and she said she'd forgotten to come back, but that it was. He also told her that it was my birthday, so she brought out a cute birthday tea light for the table. The food was absolutely delicious, and for the price point, you can easily see why people are regulars there! The pork shank was enormous! (We ate off of it 2 more times after we took it home. The restaurant gave us extra gravy at no charge, too.) The rosemary mashed potatoes were very good! The presentation was lovely! My husband really enjoyed his burger. Then for dessert, our waitress brought out a slice of tiramisu with a wedge of chocolate cake over it, berries, whipped cream, and a little birthday candle in it. Turned out really wonderful! Will definitely go back to this unique spot!

When we received our food, we nearly gasped at the size of the cornbread because we weren't fully expecting a generous amount. The cornbread was perfectly cooked and was so delicious. We didn't taste any honey though (it tasted like salted butter), which was a shame since we love honey butter, but it still paired well with the cornbread. The gnocchi was insanely good! The gnocchi was cooked well, the rabbit was super tender and seasoned well, and I was surprised by how well the aged balsamic pulled the dish together. I highly recommend this dish. I saw other dishes that were served to other tables that had me salivating too, so I can't wait to go back and try more dishes. We sat at the bar to eat, and the bartenders were all super sweet and funny. This is a must-try spot!

Such a great low key place with high key vibes. The staff are so cool and pleasant. They have a variety of beers and cocktails for anyone's taste. Best of all, they offer a variety of pour sizes you can order for your beer - Like Starbucks. On this inside, this place looks like an underground cellar from Lord of the Rings. I had a delicious frozen drink with bourbon. Sorry I forgot the name but it was amazing. I'm sure any frozen drink they serve is stellar. I also tried the On the Door beverage that was inspired by the Titanic and made with pistachio. Also, phenomenal.
