I live near the Heights, but normally go to get my brows done in Sugarland because I used to go out there for work. However, due to Corona, my former eyebrows salon was closed and to be honest, I was looking for something closer since I haven't been out to Sugarland since the stay at home order. So I researched and found Pretty Buggs. I love that she takes appointments, reminded me to wear a mask, very professional, timely and did an excellent job. I love Ashley SOOOO MUCH!!! She has been doing my eyelashes and eyebrows for over a year. She's meticulous, has an incredible attention for detail, and makes sure everything is perfect- every time! I had to work so her grandmother took her and both my daughter and mom were treated wonderfully. The threading process was not painful but she wasn't as precise as my usual threading place in Webster, tx. I think the price is a bit steep for the service. The "temple massage" wasn't relaxing. I think there are other threading shops in the area that are a bit better in my personal opinion. She does offer a rewards program. Keep in mind, if you pay with a card there is an additional fee. Bring cash or use the cash app if possible. I wish I would've known that prior to going. read more

When the spa first opened, I was thrilled to have local alternative to driving into Atlanta. After living in McDonough for 45 years, The Honeycomb Cottage quickly became one of my favorite spots. Even after moving, I continued to visit and maintained a membership for over a year and a half. I eventually paused my membership because I had accumulated several unused credits, planning to use those up before restarting. Unfortunately, a series of frustrating experiences has made me decide not to return at all: * I once arrived for a facial and waited over 30 minutes past my appointment time. I later overheard staff discussing that the aesthetician hadn't shown up and couldn't be reached. Another team member eventually worked me in. * On another visit, my niece and I scheduled facials together. Once again, one of the aestheticians didn't show up, causing delays and confusion. * At another visit, my massage appointment was canceled shortly before my scheduled time due to the therapist having car trouble. While I understand that things happen, I was rescheduled for the following day--only to arrive and find that I wasn't on the schedule. Thankfully, a therapist happened to still be there and kindly stayed to do the massage, even though he was about to leave. * I also once scheduled a HydraFacial, only to learn upon arrival that the machine was broken. I wasn't notified in advance, which was frustrating since the spa enforces a 24-hour cancellation policy but didn't extend the same courtesy to me. This seems to be a common problem and the appointment should have never been scheduled due to it being broken. * When trying to call to make an appointment you have to call several times before getting someone to answer the phone and help. I also tried reaching out to the business about these concerns. It took several weeks of follow-up calls before I finally received a response. They seemed to not really care and make excuses for the actions of the spa taking no blame or ownership of the actions. After they finally got back to me, I was told they would give me a free service, but when I arrived, they had no record of it. Fortunately, I had the email where I was told this. I did use the credit but this was not something that magically makes their actions ok. I hope the spa will improve the client experience going forward. I loved The Honeycomb Cottage in its earlier days and would love to see it return to that standard of reliability and care. Unfortunately, based on my recent experiences, it feels as though the staff and management don't prioritize communication or accountability the way they once did.

I assume they were just irrevocably stained; but they need to be replaced. Seeing large brown and yellow stains on white towels is not attractive in a nail shop. She was about to put on the clear coat when my toes obviously needed about 2 more coats as you could see through the polish. I mentioned it to her and she did add another coat. I left with an ok pedicure that included an air bubble on my right big toe and a finger smudge on left pinky toe. I got the smudge when she decided to remove the toe separators immediately after finishing the pedi and unsuccessfully trying to put on my flip flops. Another tech helped her put on my flip flops and I requested some cotton balls to keep my toes separated until the nails had a chance to dry. The other tech stated she should not have removed the separators. Reasonable prices though.

Ashley is nice and did a good job threading my eyebrows. I found the price to be on the high side at $18. Also, there isn't much parking available and the tanning salon next door will tow if you park in their spots. read more
