I was soooo hungry and could smell something delicious coming from this little shop at Granville St…read moreand 11th. It was around 1pm on a Friday, it was very quiet. Found a table right away. There are some small tables for two along with high tables. I ordered the 'hot' sandwich, chicken parm. I was expecting crispy chicken parm with yummy cheese and rich tomatoe sauce. Let's be honest, the star of this show is the bread! The baguette was warm, soft and so delicious. However, that's where the excitement stopped for me. The chicken with breading was soggy and the pesto and mozzarella was such a small amount, it felt like a soggy chicken sandwich with lots of bread. If they put more pesto dressing, more mozzarella cheese and more tomatoe sauce, I could have looked past the soggy chicken. All in all, I'm glad it tried it, the bread is amazing, and I'll come back to try a 'cold' sandwich to see if the other options are better!

Nothing special nor any extra extraordinary ingredients. The staff were nice. I don't think it's the staff's fault. It's just how they're told to make the sandwich. Came into the shop hungry paid $15 for a sandwich and left hungry was almost going to get up until the next two customers so I just walked in to save their money. Hopefully this will reach more people.

Possibly one of the best sandwiches I've ever had in my entire life!…read more I ordered their daily special (roasted pork, coleslaw, aïoli, fresh bread). Everything was cooked and prepared to perfection. The staff was incredibly friendly. I'll be back!

We walked over after getting off the Granville Island ferry at the Aquatic Centre stop. There wasn't a line, and our sandwiches came out quickly after ordering. - Reuben Sandwich -- tender meat, just the right amount of tang from the sauerkraut and cured meats, finished with their house-made mustard and a crunchy pickle on the side. - Lemon Rosemary Chicken (no cheese) -- light yet filling; the greens added freshness, avocado gave it the perfect moistness, and the light jalapeño kick tied it all together. - Garlic Bread -- buttery, garlicky, and crisp; the texture fell perfectly between a Vietnamese baguette and a ciabatta roll -- ideal snack for the walk. Overall, Number E is a charming deli serving high-quality sandwiches on their own freshly baked Tuscan bread. They also offer pastries, coffee, and other drinks. There are a few indoor and outdoor tables, but it's mainly a great grab-and-go spot. Chill ambience where you can watch the team craft your sandwiches fresh to order -- the perfect pre-ride fuel stop!
