The steak pies are excellent and the mincemeat pies incredible. They remind me of growing up in England

This place is fantastic. The cream doughnut with jam is perfect and I absolutely love the sausage rolls.

3.5, rounded up 'cause many of the ladies working there did ask if I needed help!…read more Contrary to the name of the place, this is more of a European grocery store rather than a bakery. It was like a smaller, family-owned version of a Starsky's. There are waaay more groceries like bottled sauces, canned goods, deli counter, than breads. A good portion of the breads don't seem to be baked there. Got a coupla paczki and they were ok, $1.75ea, not super fresh tasting, but not stale or anything. Double Smoked Kielbasa was good. Other than breaded cutlets, I didn't see prepared foods, but then again I wasn't really looking! If you're from a bigger city with access to such European grocery stores, St Joseph "Bakery" won't be a standout.

An assorted sub is $5.75. I ordered some wood smoked kielbasa, kabanosy, and hot pepperettes. All were very reasonably priced and tasted fantastic. They have lots of polish goods and other european items. It's a pretty big place. They have a freezer area with frozen meat on a stick, cabbage rolls, and perogies. Towards the far right of the store are loaves of breads and rolls in bags. I'm not sure why, but none of these items have prices on them. We did buy a few loaves of italian and french bread, they were $2.20 a piece. Again, very reasonable. Everyone in here was super friendly and they speak polish too. I will be back for more deli meats and to try a sub!

It is located inside an old old with plenty of parking in the back. Use the front entrance for the restaurant and the back entrance for the bakery. Being inside a house, there are home-type decorations, including a coach, living room table, paintings, etc. There is indoor seating in 3 areas and outdoor seating on the front porch. Outside the house is a dog-friendly fenced area, with artificial turf and water bowls. The owner and operator has owned several locations in the past. This location had its grand opening on 2024-09-07. The customer service is good. All food and bakery items are made in-house, literally!! I ordered a box of 6 bakery items. They cost $5.99 each or 6 for $30. I chose the following: Canolli, Carmalita, Vegan Millionaire, Keto Krack x 2, Pecan Pie Bar. So far I've tried the Canolli and Keto Krack. They were both good. Can't wait to try the others. There is free WiFi. The restaurant is not wheelchair accessible. There is free parking in the private parking lot. Review 2024-238

The place is fairly busy but there always appears to be seating for those who choose to partake at the shop. For the best selection of pastries it's best to be there earlier in the day as some items do sell out. Having your pastries served on vintage or antique china with similar tableware added to the enjoyment of each morsel of the pastry. Having tea using china is so much better than a disposable cup with the cooling to drinking temperature more easily accommodated. Great to visit and then to repeat..... Yes you can get pastries to take away also. Additionally they have savory offerings also as croissants or as crepes. Crepes can also be dessert types.

There's a good amount of street parking here but pay attention to the signs as there are areas you can't park in between the spots you can park. I hopped in and the place was packed. I had a look into the display case, asked about some pastries as it was late in the day and they were closing soon. They recommended a pear one as it was always nice since some of the other fruits can be more tart in the winter. I settled on that and a latte. I swear it was around $6-7 which I don't think I can even get a latte for that in Ottawa. They had my pastry wrapped in no time. I was a bit nosy and popped my head into this doorway as most of the seats were taken to see if there was more seating there. It turns out that it's another part of the shop. It serves gelato and I assume it's seasonal. I'll be back to check it out in the summer. By the time I returned, my latte was ready and I was heading out the door. I had a sip of the latte and it was nice. The pastry was also a really good recommendation. I'll return to try some other things in the future.
