    Fruit Flan with Custard

Delightful Patisserie Discovery! To finally have this Patisserie pop up in a Yelp Search for "Bakeries" was a completely unexpected Surprise! Only 5 Blocks from "Hotel Row" in NiagaraFalls, Ontario trudging through slush, ice and snow was well worth it. I needed to buy a Hospitality Gift and chose a Variety of Eclairs and Puff Pastries of Raspberry and Mango Craquelin. For Myself I bought these Beauties Carrot Cake - Slice Fruit Flan with Custard The Staff was Efficient The Service was Smooth The Ambience was Clean and Bright The Pastry Displays Clean and Inviting The Patisserie Yummy. Fresh. Eye Catching #HighlyRecommend!

I am always on the lookout for the best dessert places around me and I found this as a recommendation for locals to try in an article. The place was pretty cozy and had a variety of pastries available for walk in customers. At the baker's recommendation, I got the chocolate hazelnut cake slice. It was very fresh, the right amount of sweet and delicious. I think I'm going to go around breakfast time next time to check out their very attractive selection of croissants!

Contemporary vibe, fabulous Nutella croissant covered with chocolate curls, and super friendly service. Would definitely come back to try the amazing looking cake slices!

Very attentive who I guess is the owner. Participated in the Hot Chocolate Trail. No better place to get a classic hot chocolate than a store that actually sells good quality chocolate. The shop is small but busy even before closing. People came in to order dozens of cake, to pick up orders, and for drinks. They added toasted marshmallows on top to make it a S'more. The drink was large and thick. I believe it was $6 and it was worth the money.

    Raspberry chocolate cake

It's my first time visiting this cake shop. I asked for a recommendation and the staff recommended the raspberry chocolate cake as Valentine special. I'm surprised. The sweetness is right for me.

    Our wedding cake!

The cakes are so tasty. The shop is very cute and we met with the baker who helped us design our wedding cake. He ended up having two more cakes to do that weekend but he still made it happen, even though I wanted a unique flavour and it was SO tasty. Love this place, recommend it to everyone. :)

Ham and cheese croissant, so good!

Went here back to back mornings, would go back again if we stayed longer at Niagara, that's how good the croissants were! Great chatting with the owner, clean area with outdoor cafe style seating, service was made to order, freshly made sandwiches when you order at counter.

In the boxes there's a deal if you get 3. So we got the cranberry white chocolate, the cashew cluster & almond bark. I really like the cashew cluster. Pretty addictive. We also got the smores, a Tommy (pecan with caramel, like Turtles but much better tasting), a polar bear, & a Timmy (dark chocolate with caramel). The smores was so yummy! I liked that it wasn't overwhelmingly sweet. Sometimes with junk food chocolate all you can taste is the sugar. This is good stuff. We like it so much my hubby called & asked if they would ship to us. Turns out they used to be a franchise but the owner closed the other franchises down. I don't know why! The prices here are reasonable too. I like Soma chocolate which is really good but it's so expensive. If their shipping charge isn't ridiculous I don't mind supporting this store. My mouth is watering just thinking of the smores. The clerk who was helping fill the orders & cash people out was super nice too. They are open pretty late for a fudge/chocolate place. But I guess that's because of the casino.

I particularly loved the cappuccino biscotti crunch. The Oreo bark war really good too! My office loved the dark chocolate covered Australian ginger. I kept reading the hype about Sweet Jesus so on my last visit through Niagara Falls, the hubby and…read moreI decided to stop and get a sweet treat. Our consensus was that this place is definitely over-hyped. Neither of us was a fan of the ice cream here, and it's one of our favorite desserts. It has a weird consistency that doesn't even taste all that creamy, and the plain vanilla has zero flavor. The ice cream had a very light and fluffy texture that was unappealing, sort of like Cool Whip versus real whipped cream. I prefer my ice cream very thick and creamy. The flavor comes from the toppings, which were also a little bit boring. There are lots of weird sounding flavor combinations that they call "cone builds" that have sauces and toppings that are over the top, but we opted for a cone with cookie crumbs and cookie dough for me, and Oreo for him. The cookie crumbs were very stale and the cookie dough just tasted like regular old cookie dough topping, nothing special. I also thought the ice cream shop was very dirty. It didn't seem very clean or sanitary and if that sort of thing bothers you'd I'd recommend skipping this place. The toppings were falling all over the counter, which was an absolutely gross mess, and our cones were given to us already dripping and sticky (yuck). The prices are high but then again, that's to be expected since this location is right on the main tourist drag in Niagara Falls. It's right at the end of the street by the falls, so you can walk over and eat your ice cream and look at the water. We paid like $22 CAD for two mediocre ice cream cones. This is a one and done place for me for sure.

A Bit of a Letdown This Time Around…read more We've had Sweet Jesus before--mostly at mall locations--and we've usually really enjoyed it. But this time around on Clifton Hill, it just didn't wow us. We went with milkshakes: I got the Birthday Cake, and my wife got the Mango. Hers was okay, but my Birthday Cake shake was super underwhelming. It was way too liquid-y, the cake bits had an odd texture, and the overall flavour was just bland. Normally Sweet Jesus is known for bold, indulgent treats, but this one fell flat. Also the cardboard straws are TERRIBLE. Broke a couple just trying to get them through the plastic lid. The location didn't help either--Clifton Hill has gotten way more crowded than it used to be, and this spot became chaotic pretty fast. Might've just been an off visit, but based on this experience, we'd probably stick to the mall locations next time.
