We switched to Prestige a few months ago and the only complaint I have is that we didn't discover Prestige earlier! Their cleaning service is top notch and they really don't leave any surface untouched in their deep cleaning, we checked! They are actually a business and are run well. Dagmar is very responsive and comes to the house before your service begins and takes notes about your preferences. We have had 2 teams and each are great and take their time to clean your house, unlike other cleaning services that rush through your house like a tornado and do a sloppy, cursory job. Kate's team is a safe and reliable choice for a house cleaning service. She has been cleaning our house every 2 weeks since 8/2009, and it is always a pleasure to come home after she has been here. She works with our alarm system, and re-arms it when she leaves. Everything is spic and span when we get home, and smells great. And her team takes coaching too, and learns our preferences, which not every service does. I am writing this review because of their recent efforts to go above and beyond to provide a high level of service. After a crazy morning, I neglected to get the sheets in the dryer before leaving for work. I fully expected to come home to unmade beds due to my slip-up. I'm pretty sure the business owner writes most of these reviews--just scroll down and look at the reviews Yelp has filtered out. (To give you some scale: this page has 8 reviews with 51 filtered, whereas Zachary's (http://www.yelp.com/biz/zacharys-chicago-pizza-berkeley) has 1050 reviews with 111 filtered.) I actually tried Prestige House Cleaning once and it really turned me off to maid services and I would never recommend them to anybody. The shit was completely amateur from start to finish and I could say more, but here's a short list: -Arrived two hours late. -Blamed me. -Didn't bring equipment. More than forgetting the basic tools (do maids not usually carry little stepladders and dusters in their cars?) but they didn't even have the basics: they actually covertly used 2 rolls of my paper towels. They never asked about them and I never showed them where they were and they never mentioned using them--I feel that's pretty shady. -Cleaned very poorly (I don't mean to sound harsh... just nothing was actually clean. The soapy water they used was dirty even, making some parts of my home DIRTIER.) -Denied me an advertised promotion. Honestly, it was bottom-rung--might be worth a damn as a move-out cleaning service but I wouldn't chance it with these scrubs. [Pun intended since two inanimate scrubs would've been more effective than the two maids sent to my home.] Speaking of which, one of them was straight-up pregnant. I'm talking the baby was about to be born in my living room. People need to make a living but god damn. A final note from me: she refers to her employees as "the girls", and she does that here on Yelp as well, when replying to (mostly negative) user reviews. It gives this 'these are my whores and I am their madame' sort of vibe. It's starting to creep me out... ah, but it makes sense, since I gave them money and got fucked. read more

From the start, Kate was awesome. She is super nice and attentive. She is very accommodating to my schedule and what I need done. I've used her for over a year now and the cleaning ladies have always been on time with lots of attention to detail. My biggest concern was having the same people coming in my home since I did not want random strangers having access to my home every time they cleaned. I've had the same ladies cleaning my home since I've started and they are soooo sweet! I agree, they could be a little more attention to detail but overall, I'm happy with what I get and I don't care THAT MUCH to complain to Kate on every little thing. Believe me, when I do, she makes sure it's handled. They are hard working, very professional and I know this sounds stupid but they speak English so I can communicate with them. Seriously everyone, give them a break, it takes time for people to know what you like and what you are anal about. Have some patience and if it's still not good, just communicate with Kate and she will get it done. Top of the line company! Found Prestige on Yelp after years of looking for a solid cleaning crew to help me deep clean my home in Danville on a bi-weekly basis. Prestige has exceeded my expectations! firstly, i'm happy to be supporting a small business owner... and even a woman. and i've had a cleaning service for the last 5 years and usually they're a owner/operator... literally, don't really communicate via technology, text/email and speak english only when it's convenient. kate was very professional and involved in her business. you can communicate with her and she is very responsive. her prices are reasonable and services are pretty good. a couple of things i wish i had the same ladies every week, it would make it easier to have consistency. i've noticed each team does something a bit different. also, you need to give them wiggle room of about 30 min-1 hr of when they say they are going to be there. this is frustrating at times. other than that, they are the best i've had in the east bay! i would recommend! read more

They even cleaned for us through some major remodeling and were very patient with lots of dust and changing needs as the project progressed.
