I booked a 27 minute one way ride and received a very reasonable quote. However, in my Notes for Chauffeur, I mentioned that it was for transportation for the grand exit for my wedding. They replied that since it is for an event, I would be required to book for four hours, more than double what I was quoted. Worst Trip Ever There were train issues so I found this local company to take me from Gravesend to Sunset Park. Would have been a quick direct trip but the driver goes in the opposite direction. When questioned, he said he is taking the Belt Parkway, and that he has thirty five years of experience. Okay, fine. Take the Belt, that would be a little convoluted but it can work. I gave him the benefit of the doubt. He hops on the Belt near Caesar's Bay and then gets off at Ft. Hamilton instead of the exit that leads us directly toward Sunset Park! When I confronted him, he still insisted that he knew what he was doing and that he is experienced and using the best route. We could've stayed on the Belt for one more exit instead of going through more than forty local streets. It took so much time and such a long detour to get to where I needed to go. I'm all for modern technology with GPS, which he did not have, but I assumed decades of experience would not warrant mapping technology. I have never been in a car service with such poor, poor navigation! Do not use this company. read more

I hate to write bad reviews. I realize it impacts peoples' businesses and jobs. But occasionally I'm just forced to. Last 2 times I used these guys: A. Told me 5 minute wait. After 15 minutes, told me 2 minutes. After another 20 minutes told me car is just about there. Came 10 minutes later. Total wait: 45 minutes. Promised time: 5 minutes. B. Told me come right down, will be there immediately. After 15 minute wait, call up, he gives me a snotty attitude, says will be there in a minute. Comes 25 minutes later. Total wait: 40 minutes. Promised time: under 5 minutes. After the second time, i used another car service for the ride back. Total wait: 5 minutes. Promised time to come: 5-10 minutes. This new car service was also cheaper, with a better quality car. What else can I say? read more

No matter what anyone else says, this car service is the most trust-worthy and reliable car service ever to exist. Even though the cars may be out of date, they treat their customers with empathy and are the opposite of monotone robots. Dispatchers get angry from clueless rampages for slight inconveniences that barely impacted the ride as a whole. Nitpickiness is a strong critique in most of these bad reviews. Bags of urine are completely false and drivers have bladders, every human does too, it's a basic modom of class to treat drivers like human beings and not automobile gluesticks that don't have lives. Some drivers even have bladder problems and diabetes with medical records to prove that they need to step out on the side of the road to urinate. There is a large boundary between cars and customers and some people need to wait patiently for cars to arrive. Buisnesses can't avord anymore automobiles, just like this small buisness. Drivers work on a schedule and need to get on time for other clients, that is why they may call you prior to get you outside. Drivers have been driving for almost 30 years plus and I am pretty sure if they are on the road for that amount of time, they would clearly know what they are doing, so don't judge their directions and sit back and enjoy the ride. Language barriers should not inferfere with communication, write the address and go. They treat all customers with respect and even translate wherever you need to go through their phone, making sure there is no miscommunication and their ride goes smooth. If you compare Uber prices to Prestige, you can see that there is a large barrier between and they have WAYYY cheaper prices. By the way, prestige is open 24/7, but different dispatchers cover at different times. Base closes at specific times during the day so each worker can get a day of rest, so treat dispatchers and drivers like humans and stop being so fussy over simple mistakes. Some drivers are not trained to deal with different types of clients, so if there is a weird altercation, please know that these drivers are immigrants who are not modernized to the world now, so try your best not to aggravate drivers. Drivers may show up a few minutes late and estimates are not always correct because of traffic and other situations. Russian stereotypes are completely unreasonasble. read more

I am so sad to see the negative reviews for Prestige -- I love these guys! I'm taking their car service to Bay Ridge right now! They are extremely reasonably priced -- when I needed a car from midtown after surgery to Gravesend they were over $30 less than the one I took the last time from midtown with another company. And for the folks bent out of shape for "how rude" they are - they are brusque like Russians probably because they are Russian - don't take it personally. I'd much rather have someone be straight with me than sugar coat anything. Prestige is my go-to car service and I have recommended them to everyone I know. read more

My 3yr old autistic son was discriminated against by their driver. We were thrown out of the car three avenues away from our destination (in Manhattan). The driver was upset that my son was blowing raspberries as we were entering the tunnel. He stated "sick in the head people need to stay home, not be out in public!" He made us get out of the car in a prohibited area and onto incoming traffic. He threw out my luggage and child's stroller from the trunk and ordered for us to get out & began screaming to NYPD that i have a sick in the head baby. You should use Prestige if you enjoy terrible service. On three occasions, all within the past month, I have been jerked around by these guys while trying to get a cab. The first time, I was over an hour late for work due to them repeatedly telling me they were "5 minutes away." After an hour of waiting and being lied to, no cab was in sight and I ended up taking public transportation. The second time, I arranged for a cab to the airport a week before my flight. I called the night before to confirm and again the morning of my flight. Again, they were late and, again, they continuously told me "five minutes." This was followed by, "There was an accident on the belt parkway, you can look it up." First of all, I'm not sure why the driver was on the highway considering their headquarters are literally down the street from my house. Second of all, even if there was an accident, a driver should know how to get off at the nearest exit and take the side streets. Getting to the airport on time is pretty damn important and they couldn't have cared less. When he picked me up, I asked him to stop at the bodega on the corner so I could get cash out of the ATM (so I could pay him) and he responds, "If you get me a coffee." The nerve! When getting closer to the airport, I asked him how much the trip cost, to which he responded that he didn't know. Really? REALLY? He looked at me as though I was supposed to research the price of tolls. Finally, he called the headquarters and got a price. The third incident occurred upon my arrival at the airport when I returned from my trip. I called the night before to book a cab and to give them the airport information. They told me to call when the plane landed. I did. Then they told me to call when I got my luggage. I did. A Russian man called and screamed at me that he was at Kennedy airport and that I told him that's where I was. Um, pretty sure I wouldn't say Kennedy when I know damn well I'm at Newark. Bottom line: don't use these guys; they are unprofessional, incompetent and rude. read more

They sent a driver whose transmission needed repair. The car bucked all the way to Manhattan. I was nauseous the whole way. Then the driver hit the wall in the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel and had to pull over on a side street to replace his busted tire. He wouldn't let me out of the car to hail a cab. The dispatcher refused to refund the mandatory 20% tip because I had prepaid by credit card. In the past they have been late and have lied about how close they were to my location. I was once stranded at the airport for 40 minutes and could have been home in the time I was told would be "only 5 min". Never again. read more

On the day of, the driver was on time (4am as scheduled) and it was raining/snowing (wintry mix, northeast storm, 3/5/15). I used the service few times, nobody was rude to me, just the opposite, very polite and professional. The car is always on time. There is a big Prestige logo on the cars so you know that it's your car waiting. Inside, the cars are very clean and you can also see the vehicle insurance, at least you know you are using a legit car service. I called, and was waiting outside, riggt in front of tge address I gave the base. I heard a car honk, but it was down the street, so I didn't think it was for me. They called me, but for some reason, the call didn't register. I saw I had a missed call about 2 minutes later. I called back, no answer. I called the base, they said the driver left because I didn't answer. The guy at the base was a total dick. Even though I was standing in front of the address I gave them, he said it was my fault for not answering. I've been using car services in Brooklyn for 15 years and this one by far is the most professional. I use them for local service a few times a week and the the city a few times a month. I never had a negative experience. Their dispatchers and drivers are curteous and they are almost always on time. Their cars are all Lincoln Town cars and are clean. Most recently I lost my engagement ring in one of their cars and the driver returned it to me. About a year ago I forgot an iPhone in a car and it was returned to me as well. read more

I'm only giving this car service 1 star because I needed to write a review. This car service is HORRIBLE. If you don't speak Russian your treated like garbage. I came here on a Friday night about midnight and was told that it would be about 20 minutes. A cab pulls up about 12 mins later and the dispatcher tried to have his Russian female friend take my cab until I intervened since she came in just 2 mins before the cab arrived. Businesses like this should not exist. I used them few times in a past - not perfect, not too bad. Called them couple days ago on thanksgiving day for a car and they said that next car will be available in 15 minutes. 30 minutes later I called back, because there was no car. A guy YELLED at me saying that he had a car for 20 minutes in front of my house and he called me to come out but i didn't pick up a phone. My phone was in my hand, working properly and i could not miss a call for sure. Anyway, even if his story really happened, it is not okay to yell at customers and talk rude like that guy did. Don't say that Russians are rude just because they are Russians, it is not true. I'm Russian, i know for sure + all Prestige's drivers that I had a ride with were extremely cool, polite and simply nice.
