Pitch Concepts transformed my 18-year-old outdoor deck to a new outdoor space. The project work…read moreincluded: * Reframed the under deck where needed. * Replaced the deck board with Deckorators composite deck boards. The Picture Frame board provided a more finished look. * Installed louvers to add privacy and enclose the space. * Fabricated and installed a custom steel gate for a section of the deck. * Installed four overhead can lights with a junction box so a fan can be added at a later date. * Installed cedar slats as a ceiling over a section of the deck After the initial consultation, renderings for the proposed work were provided. These rendering ensured we were on the same page for the proposed work. Baky and the other folks at Pitch Concepts were professional, skilled, courteous, and respectful. The workers were well organized and very efficient with their tasks. The worksite was cleaned up at the end of each day and debris was hauled away. The steel work fabricated by Pitch Concepts was impressive. I am very happy with the project results and the experience with Pitch Concepts.

I engaged with Pitch Concepts in March of 2022 to build a garage with a rooftop deck and could not…read morehave been more unhappy with the service and quality of the work performed. The timeline to complete the job was the most egregious part of the entire engagement. The original contract, as drafted by Pitch's lawyer, stipulated that the job would be completed within three months of permit issuance (issued on June 13, 2022). The final day of work on the garage was May 1, 2024. A 3-month job took Pitch Concepts over 22 months! I was given excuses blaming Covid, manpower scheduling, weather, and city inspectors for delays instead of prioritizing this job to get it done within the terms of the contract. Baky, the owner, even admitted via email that he sent his crews to Tennessee to work on a large commercial project while ours was deprioritized. General incompetence abounded with the crews performing work and in the office with basic recordkeeping. When the garage was wired for electricity, the electricians never ran a line from the house, so they had to come back 2 weeks later to sufficiently hook up the electricity (leaving a large hole in the drywall that wasn't repaired for over a month). I specified the color for the rollup party door in October 2022, and then upon installation it ended up being the wrong color (Baky admitted that this was his mistake and never fixed it). Workmanship was very shoddy in many areas and was brought to Baky's attention multiple times in the 22-month garage build. Initially, Baky agreed via email to fix many of these items but never did. Water leaks due to improperly installed garage doors, flashing not installed at the edge of the rubber roof membrane, siding not installed to manufacturer specifications, and jagged edges on the metal coping where people enter and exit the rooftop were just a few of the many issues that were identified throughout the course of the build. I got a third-party home inspector out to estimate the cost to remedy the deficiencies from Pitch Concepts. That estimate came in at well over $20k to fix. At this point I informed Baky that I would be withholding the final payment of about $11k until we had a joint walkthrough (as specified in the contract) to discuss any items that needed to be fixed. This was met with extreme hostility and threats to place a lien on my property and that they would sue to get the remaining amount. In Baky's/Pitch's mind, the garage was "substantially complete" in February 2023, absolving them from any responsibility because the workmanship claims were brought up over a year after they were installed (even though they were documented in email throughout the course of 2023). In the meantime, there was a 6-foot by 8-foot hole in the garage that was covered up with plywood until the party door was installed in May 2024. This was hardly a secure place to store belongings, as someone could have walked up and forced their way in without too much issue. After I engaged with a lawyer who specializes in construction law, Pitch and their lawyer backed off and I never heard anything after that. When all was said and done, I had to pay far more than I wanted for this work due to poor workmanship on the part of Pitch Concepts, although I have peace of mind that those fixes were done to a far higher degree of quality than Pitch could ever do. Taking almost two years to build a garage, berating a client for asking for quality work, cutting corners, and refusing to take responsibility for any of it is why I won't hesitate to tell everyone I know that this is not a company worth doing business with.

I hate to do this to a small company but I am rather angry…read more I called Martini Electric on Monday morning and left a message indicating that I needed some work done. I waited until about 445pm and called them again as I had not heard from them yet. Tony answered and said that he would have someone out on the next morning around 9am. Great! It's now 11am and I have called Tony twice and gotten his voicemail twice. If you don't want my business, then just tell me. But making me rearrange my schedule and wait around for you to NOT arrive is annoying. I have found another electrician instead. On top of that once I described the issue to the other electrician, he was able to walk me through the fix over the phone - at no charge! This company is not reliable at all and I would recommend calling another electrician if you want to get any service at all.
