I really like Pressed, but the Danville location is consistently disappointing compared to other spots. Every time I come here, they are incredibly stingy with the toppings. I've been to other locations where they actually fill the bowl, but here they "skimp" to the point where it's barely worth the price. Worse than the portions, though, is the service. There is almost never anyone at the front counter. I've had multiple experiences where I'm standing in the lobby for five-plus minutes, yelling "hello?" just to get someone to come out from the back. It's a ghost town. If you want a Freeze with actual toppings and a staff that actually wants to serve you, go to a different location. read more

I'm writing this because I am a regular customer and have never been treated this way before. When I walked in, there was no staff member present at the front. I waited for several minutes with no acknowledgment. There is no bell, button, or any way to alert staff that a customer is waiting. The music was also very loud, which made it even more difficult to determine if anyone knew I was there. I could hear someone in the back and called out multiple times -- at least three -- before anyone responded. When the staff member finally came out, she appeared visibly annoyed that I had called for assistance. I let her know that I had been waiting and had tried to get someone's attention. I then tried to order a single bottle from the Simple Cleanse, but I mistakenly described it as the "seven-day cleanse." Instead of clarifying politely, she responded with an attitude and confusion. Once she realized what I meant, she began pulling out seven bottles. I immediately clarified that I only wanted one. Rather than simply adjusting the order, she began correcting me in a condescending tone, saying, "You said the seven-day cleanse, so that means seven." This is where the interaction became uncomfortable. I had already been waiting with no acknowledgment, and instead of extending basic courtesy, she chose to argue semantics. I calmly explained that I did not need a lecture on what I "meant" and that I simply wanted one bottle. I then ordered another juice. I did not have my glasses on and couldn't clearly read the labels, so I initially said celery juice. When she pulled it out, I corrected myself and clarified I meant the small Debloat juice. Again, the tone and demeanor were dismissive and impatient. What should have been a quick, simple transaction turned into one of the most uncomfortable customer service experiences I've had at this location. The exchange escalated because I reacted to the disrespect I felt. While I acknowledge I could have remained calmer, my response was a reaction to how I was being spoken to. No customer walks into an establishment expecting to be treated with irritation or condescension. After expressing to her that I have been waiting for her for quite a while. I was also in a rush and trying to get back to my office She told me that she had left a small yellow Post-it note in front of the register written in pencil to let customers know she was in the back. I did not see this note, and quite honestly, I don't believe many customers would notice something that small and informal, especially written lightly in pencil. If staff are going to step away from the front, there should be a clearer and more professional way to notify customers. At one point, she threatened to show camera footage to her manager, which I found unnecessary and unprofessional. I sincerely hope management does review the footage -- not to argue over who was "right," but to evaluate the level of service being provided. Customers should not feel dismissed or corrected in a hostile tone over minor ordering misunderstandings. I've enjoyed Pressed Juicery in the past, which is why this experience was so surprising and disappointing. I hope ownership takes this feedback seriously. A simple adjustment in tone, patience, and basic hospitality would have completely changed this interaction. They made my order wrong twice because they didn't care to actually listen to what I was saying (my order was straight off of the menu btw.) I love Pressed Juicery and when you want to do a juice cleanse. If you download the app you can easily place your order and pick up that day right away. This time around I wanted to do Cleanse 3- it has the most green juices and isn't too sweet. I like this one when you're trying to clean out. This location prepared it in a box and they label the juices so you know when to drink them. I think cleanse 1 is good for your first time because it has a good amount of sugar and fats to get you going. Cleanse 3 if you're trying to lean out and lose some weight. I enjoyed the green juices and how easy it is, you don't have to think. You can also get açaí bowls and some other treats there. TIP: Make sure to call them first. I tried to submit the new hours to Yelp but I'm not sure if it's reflected on it yet. The hours are changing/different due to the pandemic. If you want to make sure they're open - call them and confirm the hours. I did another 3-day juice cleanse and felt so great! I ended up doing 85 hours of just juice and it was amazing. I love their juices. It tastes so good and I love how easy it is to follow. They now print expiration dates on the bottles which is really awesome and great to know. A lot of them have different dates though so just check out the dates if you're storing them in your fridge. Jennifer helped me and she was REALLY helpful and provided excellent customer service! Matthew also helped us and he was really great too! They both provided amazing customer service and I really appreciated all their help, insight, and assistance. I did cleanse 1 for all 3 days and I also tried the wellness shot. Wow. that was intense. It definitely made me feel good after taking that. I recommend the wellness shot but beware - it is strong and spicy (but not too bad). I read reviews saying it was really spicy so I was really nervous. It's not that bad. I put it in a shot glass so I could throw it back easier (lol) and just plugged my nose and it was fine. I have yet to try the other cleanses. I would like to advance and try cleanse 2, but I like cleanse 1. They're very tasty! I lost 4.8 lbs during my ~3 days of juicing. It's just a great way to reset your body and start eating clean. It's just so good and I always feel so good during/after it! My friend tried juicing for the first time too and she really liked it. I highly recommend their juices. Jennifer was really patient and provided excellent customer service. I went at the end of the day (last 10 minutes before closing) and they were really busy. At least 6 other customers. Disappointments and suggestions for Business Managers who actually care and read reviews: 1) During a post-dinner busy summer Sunday evening, there was only 1 staff member working at the counter. There should be at least 2 to handle the crowd. Why!? I can see the poor staff member was doing the best she can but why would management think that it is okay to have 1 person at the counter and why not streamline the process to be more efficient?? It doesn't have to take that long?? 2) We waited over 20 minutes for 3 parties in front of us and we finally had to leave because we had two toddlers with us and everyone (except the poor staff member) was not wearing a mask in the small retail space with closed door. Why doesn't Pressed Juicery require customers to wear masks to enter such a small retail space with door closed? Many businesses still require masks even after 6/15th since children under age 12 remain unvaccinated. Sure, customers not masked inside maybe fully vaccinated, but those of us with kids under 12 need to continue our vigilance. Pressed Juicery customers tend to be a select group who care about our health, and I think mask-wearing while indoor would fall into the health-conscious category. Not impressed at all by this location. I checked their hours prior to coming and was disappointed to show up to a sign that said that they would be back in 20 minutes. I ended up waiting but it was all not worth the service or products there-the dragon fruit and açaí soft serve were not available which is why we went there in the first place and we had to repeat our order to the employee several times and make sure they applied the correct discount because they were going to overcharge us. I find it hard to write an unbiased review for Pressed Juicery because the service by Resh was so awesome that I just find myself loving the place. She is an absolute doll, and she is a manager's dream. She upsold from an ice cream to six bottles of juice that I didn't know I needed. And it really is pretty yummy. No added sugar is a big plus. The ice cream was pretty good. I tried my friend's ice cream that had almond butter on top, and it was extra good. While waiting, a young, cocky guy came out to get our ice creams, and he thought he was pretty cool throwing the cups around. I guess it must be hard to shine when you're working with someone like Resh who is totally committed to her job...her customers...and her success. She's going places! I got golden milk, coconut/cinnamon water and grapefruit/mint and they are all great in their own way. They also have a customer appreciation program that provides steeply discounted prices.
