The menu photo shows thick pieces of ono, and that's how they've always been served in the past. This time, the fish was paper thin and barely filled the bun. It definitely wasn't worth the price. I politely asked why the ono was so thin, and I was told, "They're sliders, that's why they're thin." I explained that I've ordered these many times before and they've never looked like this, but my concern was dismissed. I understand portions can vary, but this was a drastic difference from what I've received before. Loyal customers notice when quality and portions change. Unfortunately, after this experience, I won't be returning.

We went all in on the pork belly (no regrets ) and ordered the pork belly fried rice and the garlic noodles with pork belly. Both dishes were packed with flavor and super satisfying. The pork belly on the garlic noodles had that perfect crispy edge with a tender, melt-in-your-mouth center--easily the highlight. We went on a Sunday night, and the place had a fun, lively vibe. There are tables available, but it does get busy, so come with a little patience. Definitely worth checking out if you're in the area.

Their banana bread is well known for a reason: it is delicious and tastes fresh. The banana bread ice cream sundae is just amazing, having a wonderful combination of flavors that doesn't get too sweet. The shaved ice is pretty good too, as are the fruit smoothies. The service was efficient, and the vibes of the stand felt chill. Like many other popular locations on the Road to Hana, parking can easily fill up, so keep in mind.

I know every place and person will claim they have the best recipe out there, but this was actually so delicious! The texture was moist and fluffy, and the banana flavor was perfect without being too sweet. I had a whole loaf by myself traveling along the Road to Hana without even realizing it! And for it to be nut-free and sugar-free was really impressive to me. While here, I also grabbed a mango smoothie, which wasn't too special - though it wasn't mango season, so I don't blame them - and a couple of Island Dream Bars. If you're an Almond Joy fan, then I highly recommend the Island Dream Bar; it felt like a homemade, better version of an Almond Joy with macadamia nuts, coconut flakes, and chocolate baked into a cookie bar.

The staff was super welcoming and attentive. We had the traditional poke bowl and fish tacos, today's catch was ahi tuna. At first bite it was amazing and could say it was one of the best meals I've had in my life. You will want to come back for dinner! They may close early or run out of menu items, so come early!

There is a small parking lot on the side and street parking by the library across the street. The main draw here is the poke but they also serve fish tacos and fish plates. They sell only locally-caught fish which changes daily. For poke there are only two options: traditional and spicy. We got one of each ($22 each) and I preferred the traditional as it was saltier and had more flavor. I'm used to seeing more than just two flavors but it's fine. What I didn't like was that the rice in my bowl was hard like it had been out for a while. The other bowl was fine so I'm not sure what happened there. $46 total for two bowls seems like a higher price than normal for sushi, and the spicy one was just okay. Note that there is a 3% charge for using card.
