He came out to replace a broken spring and do a tune-up, and while working on the door he found a bent sprocket on the garage door opener. He showed my husband exactly what was happening and explained how the bad spring had been putting extra strain on the opener, stretching the chain and damaging the sprocket. There was no vague "you need this too" sales pitch. He showed us the problem, explained why it needed to be addressed, and only did the work that was necessary. The garage door is now fixed and running noticeably quieter than before. I also really appreciated his communication. I made the mistake of using Yelp's "request a quote" feature and got absolutely bombarded by some companies, with multiple calls and messages over a 24-hour period. Ramirez's Discount Garage Doors did none of that. His communication was prompt and helpful without being excessive, and there was no aggressive sales pitch over the phone. Affordable, honest, quick, knowledgeable, and easy to work with. 10/10 experience. I would absolutely recommend Ramirez's Discount Garage Doors for any garage door repair.

I recall the experience being very pleasant and easy peasy. I should have left a review then! Sorry I did not. Alas... many years later I made the dumb mistake of leaving a 6' ladder against the garage door side rail. Stupid. Never imagined I would forget it was there and close the door on it. Yep. I did. Jumped the whole door up off the rails. Ugh. Well this was almost dark and I was in a panic. No way I wanted to leave the door open all night full of tools and equipment!!! Looked on that door and there was that old school little sticker showing me who was here last!!! I figured it was worth a shot to call and try! Happily they were still in business and the fella could come out right away and fix it and I could sleep with a closed garage door and peace of mind. Actually remembered Mike as soon as he came and was pleased to recall it def was a good previous experience. As well, this one was A+ too. He fixed it fast and efficient and was on his way. Me, still kicking myself in the butt for such a a dumb mishap. There was a fee of course for late night emergency service.
