We burn only hardwoods, so we minimize build up, but having experts check things out is a necessary expense, when weighed against the possible hazards. They stated that the chimney pipe was not dirty and did not need to be cleaned at this time. My father was worried about the back and sides brick inserts getting old. They informed him that those do not need replacing either that there is nothing wrong with them and they have plenty of years left in them. Charged for an inspection only.
