Thought never was gonna happened to me, and I was scammed too, like many others of you, and actually they use almost the same story and adding more, this was part of it. I found this company and start texting then talking with this guy: "Paul Smith" he gave me 2 days, (the third day) the driver was going to picked it up the car in LA and transport to San Antonio, TX. but that never occurred I will report these thieves, they have a strong accent like from middle east. I lost my $150.00 but I will report them be careful with all these scammers. The scam is designed to secure your business with a false price, and then present the real price when you're under time pressure. The time pressure is created by the scammer with the original lie, and then used as a tool to get you to pay the actual cost. Don't fall for it. But if you already have, let the contract run its course. They will not be able to find a driver at the agreed price. Then report the company to the authorities, see below for details. You can also get your deposit back by starting a dispute, even with Venmo. Be sure to do so, so they will eventually be blocked from accepting payments through each institution. The guy that runs the company is named Nick Devis, and his website is at premiumautoshipping.com. He should be in jail, and these scam companies should be shut down. Follow the steps below to make that happen as soon as possible. --------------------- * Contact Law Enforcement: Your local law enforcement agency may be able to provide further guidance and aid in an investigation. * Report it to the New York State Attorney General: https://ag.ny.gov/file-complaint * Report to the Federal Trade Commission: https://reportfraud.ftc.gov/#/ You should report the company or transporter behind the scam to the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) as soon as possible. While the FTC can't take steps to resolve the issue, it "can help in a broader investigation against the fraudulent entity," Savov said. * Contact Your Bank or Credit Card Company If you paid by credit or debit card, your bank or credit card company can help in getting your money back from the fraudulent vehicle shipping service provider. Keep in mind that it may take some time to investigate your claim, but don't let this deter you from disputing the charge. Submitting requested information and evidence could potentially speed up the process and will help to prove that you have a legitimate claim. * Update* 01/29/24 I paid on: 01/22/24 $150.00 for what they call: "reservation" and a week after (Monday January 29th) they texted me this: "Hey Mario how are you doing today? We've already refunded your money. Please remove the review you've posted" guess what, I've already reported with the Attorney General in NY, with the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and did the same with the BBB, and yes, I already have my refund but never gonna remove all the reviews I have posted and hope the law punishes them.

Premium Auto Transportation LLC is a horrible unprofessional, company to go with when transporting your car. I would never use again. They didn't go with was quoted in the beginning, I was informed the day of pick up that they were not going to make it due to the driver wanted more money, on top of that they rescheduled to pick up two days later n still didn't pick it u to add to insult the dispatcher mark/Charlotte Brown who is refused to talk on the phone only wanted to text, but as a customer I was asking for clarity & clarification, had to call several times, send email to get a response. Then I was informed how he not making any money n if could pay more.not to mention he had the nerve to recommend I used my Credit card. This worse part after paying for it in full, no one communicated with the driver who calls my daughter 18years old demanding money, very disrespectful not to mention he didn't even drop it off at the school/colllege had them walk to him 1am in the mornin. clearl their problem wasn't my problem from the day of pick up n the unprofessional Is not acceptable. Jory a company worker was the only person that took the time to try to show he had a heart n understood but other then that don't used this company a fathers hearts.

Horrible horrible horrible! Do not waste your time. If I could give zero stars I would. Peter scheduled the pick up of my vehicle for Wednesday 4/24. I signed the document and paid the $150 fee. I didn't receive any confirmation from a driver until I called Peter the day of and he told me the car would be picked up between 2 and 4 which was never mentioned before. I received a text around 2 from the pickup driver on the day of pickup saying his trailer broke down and I would need to pay an additional $300 for pickup. After speaking with Peter at premium auto shipping inc he said he could get another driver to pick up the car (two days late) but I would have to pay an additional $200. This place is a scam that will do whatever they need to get more money out of you!

Screen capture part of the contract.

Just copied and pasted the same review with Transport Review and people can see: Jacob (516-417-8477) and I had a contract to deliver my car from San Jose, CA to Houston, Tx on July 11 for $789. A deposit of $200 was paid via Vennmo. And the rest will be paid when the car is picked up and delivered. No pick up on July 11. He told me his driver is asking for $1500. I told him that's between him and his driver. All I cared is $789. He asked me for 1 day delay. Same story next day. He asked for another day. Another day came, nothing happened. I told him after 2 extra days, he still didnot honor his contract. So I cancelled the contract (via text messages), and asked for the refund of $200 deposit. About 3 hours later, he said he found a driver that can do for $1000. I ignored. 10 days later, I reminded him to refund the deposit. He said it's my fault. So now, a month later, that $200 is gone.

The switch.....

Too bad I can't leave zero stars. Unfortunately the mess up on my part was not looking at these reviews before. As you can see, every review on this page tell basically the same story and I assure you they are all true. RUN AWAY NOW. DO NOT WALK. RUN. "David Smith", is an absolute joke and this company has an easily tractable MO. I will say that I did get my refund back only because I refused to cancel. Line 3 in their contract states if you cancel it is a $200 fee. He give me the same story many here have heard word for word that only one driver but double the cost. Then he "finds" another driver for only 50% more if I wait till next day. I refused because the contract had a specific pick up date that they could not adhere to, so I did not cancel, they didn't hold up their end. Do not waste your time on this scamming company. It's these types of people who give this industry such an untrustworthy reputation.

They quoted me $475, then after I signed the quote $625. Contract has a line which states they can increase the amount at will.

I should have come on here and checked out the reviews before I agreed to use them. This is DEFINITELY a bait and switch company. STAY AWAY!!! RUN!! DO NOT USE THEM! PRICE GOUGERS! RIP OFF! SCAMMERS! The guy I spoke to tried to guilt me and told me "I'm a single dad, but I'll pay half of the extra fee." They called me back to tell me the fee increased due to a driver shortage. I almost cursed. You scamming scammer!!! I hope someone reads these reviews. Dealing straight with the transportation company if I need to do this again. Karma is real. They'll definitely get theirs.

They called on 1/9 with 'broken down truck' act but just happened to have another available for $150 more.

I would have loved to give Knickerbocker a positive review. Initial calls with Eric were great. He…read morewas super responsive and even though there were some challenges (drove to the middle of nowhere New Jersey to drop my car) it was a reasonable price compared to others. Issues were threefold: - Eric basically represented and used a facility that does its own direct auto transport. When questioned (because they were cheaper) he highlighted his business as better due to a number of factors. None of these ended up coming to fruition. - the Rando he got to transport my car was horrible. Lack of communication or updates. Ended up delivering the car two or three days later than promised (meaning I missed being able to inspect the car). And throughout the process was full of lies regarding arrival time and why he wasn't delivering on time. - car was damaged during transport but because I was out of town for 2 months after the fact and wasn't able to confirm and share this with Eric (because it was delivered late) I had no recourse for costs to fix the damage. - finally, In reviewing his end of year books, Eric got confused about a voided transaction (I had been charged twice initially and there was a void in his books). He assumed that it was me doing it due to my dissatisfaction and charged my credit card again without confirming the issue with me. He left messages while I was in a meeting and then charged my card without confirming. When I called, he apologized for his angry action but for someone who highlights professionalism amongst his traits, I feel this was way out of line. I was going to just leave things as is and not write a review and leave things as they were in August but given the action he took today I felt compelled to warn others.

Excellent communication from the company from the beginning to end…read more This is the first time since my husband and I have shipped our car to Florida that the vehicle was picked up on the date we asked for and delivered as promised. I especially liked the feature of being able to pay with a credit card to the company instead of paying cash to the driver. The drive was courteous . I plan to use this company for future shipping needs.

I thought that I should continue to shop around in search of a better price (also recommended when you are new to these services). This is my first time moving to another state and was not sure of the pricing structure. I have also learned that these companies operate as Brokers and use 3rd party movers. A good majority of them are not trustworthy. After learning that the quote USA Auto provided was most reasonable, I called back ready to book. I ended up speaking to a different agent who quoted me $200 LESS than the original Broker. Again, I was more than ready to book. But then the new agent learned of my original quote with his colleague and ended our call to speak with his partner. They original agent called me back telling me that the COMPANY cannot honor the lesser quote and that I am free to take my business elsewhere!! UNPROFESSIONAL and UNETHICAL! How is it that the same company quoted 2 different amounts and refused to honor the lesser? WHY? Because they are greedy and do not care to do honest business. One may say that $200 is not a big deal, but when a company is willing to throw your business away because they refuse to accommodate a customer then I was left with no choice but to go elsewhere! DO BETTER!
