I have my go to movie theaters but wanted to try something different. I decided to venture out to Lakeshore for Premiere Cinema to see MICHAEL. I ordered my ticket online. I don't usually do movie theater food because it can be pricy but this day was considered treat day. Not sure what my original order was but the young lady encouraged me to go with a combo for the popcorn corn and icee. Also, I saw a bar area, nice. The seat was comfortable but now that I know the layout of the theater, I will choose different next time. Oh and the restroom was clean, always a plus. Premiere will now be in rotation. read more

Recently I saw two great movies this week here. Sarah's Oil was a historic movie about a young black lady the struggled through hardships after being awarded land that she had faith in and was not shy about standing up for herself. As I was unaware of the story if was a very good viewing. The other movie was unexpected Christmas. I only knew three actors in the movie but everyone gave a good performance. The story line was good and kept building. It was an unusual Christmas movie but so very very good. I do recommend both of these movies and this theater read more

Okay let me just say me and my daughter had a wonderful experience watching Satah's Oil. Purchasing a ticket was very easy and the staff gets a 10/10 from me. Everyone very friendly and we received top tier service. The Moive theater was nice and clean. Plenty of bathroom space for you to get in and out. read more

Horrible business place. First time I went there, there was a girl there who did a great job she helped me when I was having a medical problem however the other employees were not so kind. A manager kept yelling at the nice girl "Get off that phone!" when said girl wasn't on a phone. Another employee yelled at her for quote on quote "slacking" when she was just trying to clean the women's bathroom after I had an accident related to my disability. She should have gotten a raise. Next time I went the nice girl doesn't work there anymore and the rude employees still do. read more

The DBox feature here is my favorite aspect! It's fun to feel the seat move and get a close up of certain music and sounds. I typically buy my tickets online so I don't interact with the staff much, but have never had an issue getting assistance when needed. I don't really care for their wings, pizza, or nachos. It all tastes frozen and weird to me, but the popcorn and hotdogs are good. The seats have become worn, which is kinda to be expected, but overall I still enjoy coming here to kick back and watch a film. read more

Overall great. The only bad experience was the sound volume in the previews. Almost unbearable. The sound on the movie, Project Hail Mary was appropriate. I saw the movie in the GSX, giant screen theater. That was great. I would like to see it again in GSX, but they moved to regular digital after a week or two. Came her to watch Wild Robot. Love the comfy reclining seats and convenient charger ports. Aside from the standard popcorn, I would avoid any of the food options. CHILE CHEESE TATER TOTS came out with just cheese, and then came out with mushy tots and salty canned chili once they realized the order was chili cheese tots. I think I have found a new movie theater. It's not far from me and I really liked the seats. My husband bought the tickets online so when we got there, we headed to the concession area. I noticed the lobby has a lot of games and a bar. This could be a cool place for a date. After getting our snacks, the employee at the register checked out tickets. We headed to our theater. There wasn't another employee to direct people to their theaters, but we found ours easily. The theater was nice with seats that recline. We practically had the place to ourselves so we felt comfortable removing our masks. There was a movable tray, which was convenient. This isn't stadium seating, but we had no issues seeing the screen. It was a pleasant experience so I'm sure we'll be back. read more

This theater is great! There's just three things I could complain about 1. The butter is not behind the counter so to layer your popcorn you have to take the bag out to the area by the drinks then bring it back to them. When you get the remaining popcorn, the butter dispenser is too low so you end up spilling precious popcorn trying to get butter on top. 2. The seats do not heat up. 3. The bathrooms are not touch less. You have to flush instead of auto flush, you have to touch the water to turn it on and off, and they have paper towels instead of blowers. The theater is too nice to have this type of restroom. read more

I came here last Friday with my friend Kimia. She was thinking this was the new comfy theater in Vestavia, but I told her it wasn't. It was a new theater yes but not the one she was thinking about. We were on our way to the theater in Vestavia, but after we drove past this one, we decided to give it a try. It's so huge! The parking lot is huge and so is the theater. When we walked in the theater, we saw the seats were actually pretty comfy and could recline! Yay! They weren't heated, but they do have trays where you can put your food and/or purse so I did like that. We saw Joker, and it was amazing! I like how the theater didn't turn completely dark till maybe 5 minutes after the movie started. There were however two major issues that we encountered. When we were buying our tickets, they overbooked our seats. I had noticed the computer where you choose your seats had grayed out both the seats next to Kimia after she bought her ticket. I thought it was a computer glitch so the attendant went ahead and selected me a seat next to hers. We walk into the theater...and there's people sitting in our seats. We talked to them and realized they overbooked us so we were kind and slid down a few seats over to empty seats. After sitting there for two minutes, two people come up to us and tell us we are sitting in their seats. Awkward....times 2. We finally moved over again and were able to stay for the remainder of the movie. During the movie however, it paused during a scene and wasn't playing. It actually gave us some time to talk about the movie and discuss what we thought was going on! LOL! Someone went out to tell an attendant, and the movie resumed after about 5 minutes. So overall, I'm glad this theater opened up, but they did run into a few kinks I'm sure they can resolve for smoother viewing in the future. read more

Wow at this theatre! Very nice and Lakeshore surely needed this venue! It's been way too long since Wildwood theatres closed years ago! My experience here was very pleasant and it's a change of pace of what I'm use to when going to a movie theater. There's ample parking, the only thing in sight and it's nice to look at from the outside. On the insy, it puts you in the frame of a lite Dave and Buster's. There's beer and cocktails served, there's a pizza pub, and you can self serve on your drinks frozen and normal. The prices are moderately high but that's expected of a movie theater. I didn't sample the pizza but it looks great, made in house unlike some other places who simple just use pre made frozen pizza. The game area is kinda small but great. The ticket hub is easy access with NFC access, and the accessibility of the movies was very easy. The screen is huge and the sound, while booming, wasn't ear shattering. The lounge chairs were a nice touch and they also have trays to sit your food and drinks. I think this place will definitely see major business soon! I'll be coming back! read more

This upscale newish place offers so many different aspects of movie theater life. It was great to be back in one after 19 Months. Parking is difficult on the weekends. So be aware. The lobby offers arcade games and the concession stand/bar is one of the largest I have seen. It is very spacious to allow waiting if your movie is yet to seat. The theaters allow reclining chairs and trays to have an eating surface. Ticket prices are a little steep but hey, so is everything thing else these days. If your movie is before noon ticket prices are cheaper, however no movies start before 12pm, so sit back and enjoy the show. read more

The facility is very clean and the staff were all helpful and friendly. The seats are huge and very comfortable and the auditorium is sloped rather than stepped so moving through the space is easier. On the down side, sound isolation between theaters is terrible. If there's an action movie next door, expect to hear ever single explosion and boom especially if your film is quiet and dialog driven. I've never been to a theater with such bad sound bleed. As a geek, I understand that low frequency sounds are tough to isolate and perhaps the problem doesn't exist in all theaters. We were in #5 and I'd be curious to hear from other folks if their experience was better in other rooms. The video projection quality and screen were EXCELLENT! Everything was exceptionally bright and in focus. The audio glitched several times during the film where it had a garbled, digital sound and we had no sound at all for the first few minutes of the content preceding the feature. A fellow patron had to go notify staff of the problem. read more

I was home for the holidays and wanted to check out a movie. I typically go to the one in Vestavia Hills but I heard about the new one on lake shore so I decided to check it out. I must say that this place is pretty impressive. Upon entering the lobby area which is a little small but very easy to get through you're welcomed with a variety of meals that you can enjoy. I was running late so I decided not to grab a meal but I really wanted the potatoe skins. When walking into my theater I was amazed at the amount of space there was between the rows. You can extend your seat fully out and people can still walk through without ever having to climb over you. It wasn't stadium seating which was perfectly fine with me and the movie screen was seemed huge. The sound was great and the experience was very pleasurable. This will be my number 1 go to when I'm in town and want to check out a flick. read more

This is a great alternative to movies at Patton Creek as it has the newer theater features of reclining seats and serve yourself popcorn. This is the first theater I've ever been in where I actually got hot in the theater (normally they're freezing). I spent the last hour of the movie trying not to throw things or swat at the kids sitting beside us that were making ridiculous noises and talking about Fortnite nonstop. Brand new movie theater off of lakeshore dr. Such a great pick up for the area. The theater has all the bells and whistles. Reclined seating, the ability to pick your seat and a full bar and restaurant. Prices of course are a little higher due to the luxury of the place. Ahhhh! I didn't realize how much I missed the big movie theatre experience until I saw Wonder Woman 1984 in the GIANT theatre :) Sigh. It was soooo nice. We hadn't been to a movie theatre in probably a year. The lights, the sights, the sounds, the action. We were fully immersed and moved. We will absolutely be back here a lot, and probably make it our home theatre. It just felt so much more homey and authentic than all of the AMCs taking over the industry. More on the GIANT theatre; it felt so grand and so comfy and so open. We did a weekday viewing at 5:15, and we could basically pick wherever we wanted to sit (Jan. 2021=COVID era). I would definitely recommend the back couple rows or anywhere in/around the D-BOX. But that's just my personal preference as I like to really be able to enjoy the full screen without moving my head much. I sort of actually frolicked around in there because of how epic and nice it was to be in a huge theatre again. The picture quality was beautiful, the sound was massive. The actual movie viewing part was seamless. The seats are SUPER comfy and you can control the recline level greatly, and even a control for how much your headrest moves forward or backward. (If sleeping in a movie theatre is your thing, then this is the place for you!) The seats are massive and you get a solid amount of personal space because of that, and some nice large cushion arm rests on both sides (no battling it out for the armrest in here). And of course the good sized tray to put your personal items on that swivels. I'm all about clean bathrooms, and this one was about as clean as they come. Kudos. They had a super neat looking "self-serve" popcorn setup. We didn't get any, but it looks like you can just walk up to one side to get it basically like you do to the drink machines on the opposite wall (I'm not sure if they modified that flow though a bit these days; I just got cookies) I hadn't had Otis Spunkmeyer in a couple decades, and they had some at checkout so I got a couple and they were just as yummy as I remember; they were definitely baked today. Then of course they got all the fountain drinks, the ICEEs, the pizza, the popcorn, the candies, etc. They had a decent sized corner for a dozen or so arcade activities and photo booth and a seat where you can experience what the D-BOX seats are like. The lighting and decor and theming in here was very fun and well done and tasteful. I really enjoyed walking the hall and seeing lots of acting legends lining the walls. I understand the other auditoriums are a bit smaller, and that in my opinion can just provide for a more intimate and relaxed movie experience. So I'll look forward to viewing films in those, too. However, if you are planning on seeing a highly visually stimulating movie I'd definitely say hit up the GIANT theatre; it is quite the treat. They had a neat looking bar area out in the main lobby; we didn't check it out. From what I could tell they have a few ways to purchase tickets: online through their website (or link to 3rd party on their website), self serve kiosk in lobby, or at refreshment counter. I believe they do have some sort of Rewards program, too for building up free goodies as you visit. And it sounds like that ties into some neat sort of "gift card/cashless" card, too where you can put some dollars on there to treat a friend/kid/family member to some movie/refreshment times. (Specific COVID era review info below) This place is SUPER clean. They had barriers up at the refreshment counter to keep germs from flowing in/out. After our movie was done a lady came through to spray and wipe down the seats. The place was literally spotless in the auditorium and bathroom and every common area out in the lobby. The staff were wearing masks (I didn't actually pay attention to if masks were required everywhere inside or not, obviously you don't have to mask up when eating/drinking though). There was automatic and pump hand sanitizer all over the place. There should be few enough people in your auditorium where you can have some safe space to spread out a bit. You can ask anybody that knows me; I take the spread of the pandemic very seriously and I felt super safe in here from the moment I walked in until the moment I left. I'd wager it's significantly safer than most grocery stores, big box stores, and restaurants out there right now; especially the GIANT auditorium on a weekday. read more

Having been to this cinema several times now, I'm feeling compelled to write a review. First I'll start with the negative aspects, and then I'll delve into the positives. For starter, the website is not very user friendly. Don't think they have an app, and the service might need some better training, and movies are very loud. Slightly disappointed with those aspects. Now, if those points wouldn't bother you, then this is an ideal location, the food choices are exquisite, and the movie rooms are massive, spacious, and super comfortable. This theatre could easily give AMC a run for their money if they improved on what was mentioned previously as the negatives. This is a horrible theatre. This company should be ashamed of themselves. Management is horrible. Myself and 4 of my other friends went in to see "Nope." We had a friend go in person and purchase tickets earlier in the day so that we wouldn't have to wait in line once we got there. Upon entering, the theatre was disgusting and trash was everywhere. Once we went inside the auditorium, we were surprised to find that individuals were occupying our seats that we had previously purchased. We then learned the occupants of the seats had purchased the same seats as us. How does a ticketing system double book seats? There were 5 people in our party so it was hard to relocate to good seats where all 5 of us could sit together (which is what we purchased earlier). Our party, including the party that was occupying the seats went to speak with a manager. Meanwhile, the movie was playing and we were missing it. The manager then proceeded to enter the auditorium, pause the movie, and turn the lights on. At this point there were many upset customers but we just wanted the correct seats which we ordered. Your company's employees made us feel extremely embarrassed. After we were finally seated after being moved 3 times (because employees kept placing us in seats that were being purchased), the movie ended and we went to the restrooms. Even the restrooms were disgusting. The bathrooms had tissue everywhere, there were feces covering toilets, and it had an absolutely horrible smell. We went to the movies to celebrate my friend's birthday. This was the only thing she wanted to do to celebrate her birthday and Premiere Cinemas made this an absolutely horrible experience. I will not be returning to this location. The best thing that can be done to improve this location is to implement new management. Ensure employees are being trained properly to be able to book seats correctly and clean the restrooms on a consistent schedule as needed. As a public health practitioner, I am appalled to see this organization's uncleanliness especially during this COVID-19 pandemic. read more

Walked into the theater and there was trash, food, and drinks over several of the recliners and tray tables. I had to wipe down the seat with hand sanitizer and napkins because I could see oily handprints all over. The sound was WAY TOO LOUD!!! My ears feel violated and my head is pounding from how loud it was. I walked out before finishing the end of Wakanda Forever and I thought it was a great movie so far.
