The most AWFUL EXPERIENCE.. They are there to sell you the system but after that your screwed... I had an issue with install that fried all my appliances now I cant cook nor do laundry and after over a week of exhausted phone calls and messages that were left unreturned they try and come back with $2700 to "patch" my appliances... I am asking for replacement as all of them were new and they would gladly take the money for the system but when you have an issue with the install your up shit creek..... DONT DO IT!!!! Made an appointment with Benjamin for Aug. 1, 2017. Was told I would get a reminder call the day before, which never happened. I was here waiting on the 1st but nobody showed up. I called to reschedule, explaining my problem. I got an apology and was told that someone from sales would call me ASAP. Waited a couple of weeks. Nobody called. I called again, and re-explained the situation and again was apologized to. Was told that they are in meetings but someone will call me back. It is now the 21st, and nobody has called me. I don't think they want new customers. I am concerned that if I did schedule with them, their customer service would SUCK. Disappointed. read more

Looked at a few companies to get quotes for solar installation. It's a tough market these days, with all of the power companies turning the tables on solar power. We've got aps, and at the moment things are still in our favor. When none of the companies but Arizona solar solutions would consider the job because of market conditions (and maybe rightly so, that remains to be seen), we jumped on the quotes they provided and quicker than a blink they had the panels installed and aps approved. We were expecting months of waiting - instead we went from contract to kilowatts in about a month, hoa approval, city approval, and aps approval included. Just waiting on router connection now so we can watch the power roll out. We're not expecting miracles, but we were promised a little more than 100% of our yearly power needs and I think it can be done. We've gone through and made sure we're as efficient as possible prior to connection, and I've got NREL predictive production charts (pvwatts) for our specific setup, so we'll see how we do. I'll post back up regularly to see how things are stacking up. Only complaint - customer service seems to be almost entirely automated, so the process felt very much like dealing with a phone recording - all our email updates were automated, sometimes to the point of not including specific times or dates of expected steps (like blanks were left unfilled), but when I needed to speak to customer service, there was always someone there on the other end of the line, presumably right here in Phoenix. Maybe that's how they keep so streamlined to get things set up efficiently, but it felt very sterile - not a friendly neighbor-like business which they seem to be on outside appearance. read more

Nothing but issues with this company. Went with them due to the high reviews on yelp, and the reasonable price to purchase my solar system. All was well until the loan for the system was approved and I started making payments, and then I just stopped hearing from them and all work came to a halt. I started the process and got my system installed in June of 2015, and the install itself was pretty quick and painless. I was speaking with an employee by the name of Megan Holmes who said they would keep me updated on my process every 10 days, which initially was going fine. Once the system was installed I started receiving bills, and of course I have my standard APS payment as well since the system has not been activated. I am now basically paying double what I was prior to this installation, with no gain whatsoever and no end in sight to my activation. Since the install I can no longer reach Megan, the email is now invalid. I had gotten a hold of Rich Mason, who I had initially spoken with prior to deciding on my system, and he assured me he would let me know what the holdup was. That was over a month ago and still no update. I am now in October, about 4 months after my installation. I have nobody contacting me, the only way I hear anything from anyone is if I contact them, and all I hear back is that they will be sure to let me know what the problem is, and then I don't hear from them again until I send off another email. At this point I wouldn't care if the system were turned on tomorrow and everything worked perfectly. I still would never recommend this company, and anyone looking into solar should go elsewhere. I have no idea if this system will ever be turned on, but I do know I will be making $160 a month payments for something I can't use for the next 12 years of my life. I assume that's all they really care about, so I guess they won this one. read more

We compared a couple of companies and felt we were getting a better deal overall from AZ. Solar Solutions. They worked tirelessly to install our system and when a problem arose, they were here to fix it quickly. We have been producing nearly 100% of our energy since April when we became fully operational. Even on the few cloudy days we have in Arizona, we're generating energy. So happy to have final made the decision to 'go green'. read more

How can a rooftop solar installation project take almost 8 months and still not be complete? Well, licensed contractor James Petersen Industries, Inc., Petersen Dean and Solar4America as listed on the contract and Premier Solar Solutions, subcontractor, found a way. A total lack of communication within each company, between the companies and external communication with government entities, the utility company and me resulted in many errors. The most disturbing error was that their own installers didn't even follow the plans they created, failing inspection and having to revise plans and re-submit to the county and the utility. Now the completion paperwork is due to the utility company and they have asked for an EXTENSION! Save yourself from a nightmare project like this and avoid using any of these companies for any project. read more

They spilled bright green paint all over and ruined my Trex deck, and then painted over it, needless to say after a winter and the beginning of Monsoon season in Flagstaff it is peeling and instead of adding value to my house has become a liability. The panels are not producing what they said they would and instead of getting credit from APS during the sunny days we have here I am still getting a bill every month, in addition to my lease payment, so I am not saving any money but spending more. Asked numerous times for the decking to just be replaced that the painting was not an acceptable fix for the problem and was assured this would work. I don't own a big fancy house, and feel like if I did the deck would have been replaced but instead I got pushed around and was given a sub par fix because of it. read more

No. Please don't. This company has been questionable from the get go. Kyle our "salesman" was okay at first. Really a salesman personality. Not pushy just the insisting that our product is the best kinda guy. My wife and I agreed that we wanted to use renuable energy and was very interested in the savings so we decided to move forward with getting solar panels. He told my wife and i that if we needed anything at all that he would be there for us. Weeks later we would get sparatic phone calls from people we didn't know letting us know that other people would be by to check the roof and take measurements. More Weeks would pass and we would get more phone calls about different people needed to get back on the roof. Still no communication regarding where we were in the process or any follow up for that matter. I would call and check on them every once in a while to see where we were in the process and would get very generic answers from the nice younger sounding gal who tried to answer my questions the best she could ..... Professional emails sent by Craig the guy who handles permitting with the state was not thorough or seemed not to care about anything. His way of completing his work was to write broken english emails and have me taking time to discuss my permit with state offices.... . Which turned out to be completely useless and a waste of time and I was told after many days of back and forth with them I was indeed good to go and did not need to contact them in the first place. I expressed sincere frustration to our sales man Kyle, who after saying he was going to get to the bottom of this and Answer all my questions. Kyle has just straight up ended communication with us. All of this after a meeting he set up. He insisted he take care of all this negative bs that's going on around our project. Just gone. Texts (how he likes to communicate) have not been returned. As it stands today, on June 25, 2018, I am unsure what the hell is going on. We signed documents with this company on February 26th. 4 months ago. Please save yourself the headache and go with a reputable company. If I could give them zero stars I would. read more

ERL Do Not Use Arizona Solar Solutions 1.00 04/27/2015 Mr. Lamore, I think I have stated my request very clearly on more than one occasion to more than one of your people. I will do it one last time. The only reason I would ever consider putting solar panels on my roof would be to ultimately save me money. On the day the salesman for your company entered my home representing you and NRG. He clearly stated he could reduce my overall yearly electric cost by installing solar panels on my roof. His words were that with the solar water heater, attic insulation, attic solar fans and solar panels he could reduce my usage by 20% which would offset the cost of the NRG lease. Reducing my yearly expense by 10% He said I would get monthly credits on my bill or a yearly refund check from SRP due to the overproduction of electricity from your panels over what I was using. These credits would make my cost including the lease payments 10% less than my yearly cost of electricity to my home. I have the conversation , which he consented to, clearly recorded. He also went next door to my neighbor and made the exact same claim. This total decreased cost has never happened for either of us. With the lease payments not only am I not even breaking even to the cost before the installation, my yearly cost is more than $1200 more. I have only seen 2 monthly credits on my SRP bill in the 2 and 1/2 years since this started. And that is with us reducing our energy consumption by 10% less than the year before your sales man walked in our door and did his so called analysis and you adding more panels to my system. The water heating system has been a total failure since the first winter after it was installed. During the cold months we are lucky to get 2 quick showers in the morning without running out of hot water. This is for a 4 bedroom 2 1/2 bath home. Very embarrassing when we have visitors. I have had the water heater supervisors out here on 3 occasions and they admit that during the winter months the design is inadequate but say there is nothing they can do about it. My neighbor has had even worse problems with the same water heater system. We have raised our thermostat to 80 and live just a little more uncomfortably at night during the summer. We have installed a high efficiency air conditioner, new thermal windows throughout the house, purchased a high efficiency refrigerator, cut down one of our trees in the back yard and greatly trimmed back the second just to make sure there is no shading of the panels. And yet I still am paying more for my overall electric cost per year than I was before your representative walked in my door. My neighbor has had the exact same experience, who by the way is pretty pissed off at me since I referred your salesman to go talk with them the same day he was here and they fell for the same sales pitch. This leads me to one of 2 conclusions. A) Your salesman did not know how to calculate what your equipment could do or B) this was a scam from the start. Either way we lose read more

I purchased a system complete a year and a half ago. I contacted the company a few months later that the system was not producing what was promised. They said, it takes a year to see the full picture because of the credits from aps. I went so far as cutting down a large tree next to the house to see if the production would improve. That cost me another 1K to do and did improve slightly. The plan showed the tree in place. They did send someone out and he said the panels should be repositioned because of large pine trees in the far back yard. After talking with his boss all of a sudden he didn't know what he was talking about and shouldn't have commented on it. I have called and called for estimates to add additional panels and these guys won't even return the call. I paid 20k for my system, once they have your money forget it. From start to finish Arizona Solar Solutions was great to work with. My wife and I priced competitors, and Arizona Solar Solutions was either the same price or cheaper, but had many more options available. At the time we signed up we actually put money in our pockets! Rich Mason is very knowledgeable, and showed us all of the options but didn't put any pressure on us to make a decision. We got in just before SRP's rate hike, and were up and running around last November. To this day, we haven't seen any net electric usage, even in the 110+ degree weather. We actually still have credit from production of energy for our next bill! All of the people we met were great, and installation went well. It does take time due to permitting, etc., but Arizona Solar handled everything from the Town of Queen Creek to the HOA. All we had to do was be home a couple of times. We highly recommend the company, and some of our friends we personally recommended would say the same! read more
