We celebrated a birthday at Premier. The atmosphere here is perfect for celebrating a birthday, lively, full of energy, with live music and dancing. The food was hit or miss, some dishes were just okay, not everything wowed us. The manager was super kind and welcoming, which I really appreciated. That said, the place wasn't crowded, yet our table was tucked away in a corner far from the action, even though there was clearly room to be closer to the show. Service started off a bit cold, the waitstaff didn't seem very attentive or friendly. But midway through dinner, we got a new waitress who was much nicer and more engaging. Last year I brought many of my American friends here for my birthday and I was so disappointed because the amount of food was minuscule and there was not enough food to go around for everyone. It was embarrassing. I was very surprised at the amount and quality of food there was here last night. Huge improvement. My friends had the same tier as I did last year, but there was way more food. You can choose different levels/tiers of food amount to be brought. The way it works is choose your level and then the food you chose just keeps coming out throughout the night. This place is a hoot! It is a jampacked night filled with tons of entertainment, and so much food! I was a guest at a birthday dinner party couple weeks ago on a Saturday night and I must say I have never heard of this place before. It is tucked away in a small plaza in Studio City and parking is free for the most part unless you choose to valet. Inside you'll find a banquet hall type of settings where each table is reserved for special parties. As far as the food goes, you name it and they have it. They served as different types of fish, lobster salad, shrimp, cocktail, chicken, duck, kebabs, steak, etc., the courses were never ending and there was unlimited amounts of wine and some kind of hard liquor. As far as entertainment goes, there were belly dancers, there was Marilyn Monroe impressionist, there was a DJ for dancing, and multiple live singers as well. Almost everything is in Russian though and since I don't understand Russian, I wasn't sure what was going on most of the time, but some songs were in English and the belly dancing was toArabic music and I think they played a couple of Armenian songs as well. It is definitely a place to go if you want to experience a Russian style banquet party and as far as pricing goes, I'm not too sure how much it cost but I'm pretty sure it is quite expensive!! read more

We celebrate my friends birthday at Premier for the first time. To be honest, I was not expecting too much from Russian restaurant. As I know how rude customer services in that places. Well, I was pleasantly surprised with this restaurant. Everything starting from food to service and show was amazing. Never tried such a fresh and delicious food in banquette restaurants. I absolutely love this restaurant. The food is so delicious and there is such a big varity in terms of dishes and appetizers. I have been to many Russian & Armenian restaurants over the years and this restaurant really goes above and beyond in terms of food, venue, entertainment and service. The appetizers at the beginning include fresh Sashimi and so many fish dishes like salmon, caviar, pickled veggies, and salads to name a few. Then the hot dishes start arriving and we had at least 6-7 hot dishes and then such tasty apple pie with ice cream and a big plate of fruits at the end. The service was impeccable! We went to Romanov restaurant 2 years ago and I was left so underwhelmed by the service and care we received there. I felt like that place has really gone downhill in terms or service and even the dishes served. Here, no matter if you are a party of 6 like us or a big party of 20+ people the servers are super attentive and really go above and beyond to make sure people are having a good time. The entertainment was top notch with live music and they play many requests. Of course all the classics were performed and also a good amount of Russian and Armenian songs. There is also a dance show and professional dancers performed. I also loved that the owner of the venue was super on top of everything and he walked around and made sure everyone was happy and had everything they need. The bathroom was clean and the lounge area/ bar gives the ambience of a Vegas night scene. Drinks at the bar were generous and priced well. Musicians were talented providing entertainment from Russian, Armenian and American genre, even a little Latin mix to get you moving! Dance floor was lively and songs made you want to dance. With that amount, you can eat anywhere else in the town or the surrounding areas and have the best menu with everything included (including red caviar)... Their fish was cheap, kebabs were super small, you should've add 4 kebabs together, so it would equal to one regular kebab from other restaurants... Desert was another story, the amount of cookie chopped and the scoop of ice cream was so little, that we couldn't even share with the party of 6 people!!! It didn't even come as separate to each and individual! Coffee! How they served the coffee, clueless! At the end, when we were already leaving the "restaurant" I found the coffee cups and apparently the cold already coffee on the corner of the other table, however, it was late and no one from the waiters bothered to serve us some coffee! Bottom line I came home hungry and had to eat something not to sleep with empty stomach lol... Restrooms messy and dirty! Will I ever come back? Nope! Never! Horrible experience! Waste of money! My work held their annual celebration at Premier this year and well here goes my experience MUSIC: My sister and I were perhaps the only non-Russian people there and I was looking forward to their music so you can only imagine how bummed I was when they hardly played it - I love dancing to Russian music! Their performing singers were so much fun and really know how to deliver an enthusiastic atmosphere. The songs sang could have been a bit more upbeat but regardless I enjoyed hearing them sing live. Bravo! LOCATION - It's not big - quite small actually however it's lovely inside. The restrooms were kept clean and there is a cute-sized dance-floor w/ a stage for performers. SERVICE - Reason for the missing star. Service could have def. been better. We kept being spoken to in Russian by the servers even after we informed we only spoke English. I also felt a catty vibe from the female servers and when I asked about a certain drink or dish, I felt like I was being ridiculed or spoken to sarcastically. RED LIGHTS though a MARBLE?!? Walking in I noticed that they had a really cool bar... which was highly decorated with RED lights (marble like) every were. Even the floor had spaced red light boxed effects coming through it, which gave it a cool lounging area. The seating area had red (modern) chairs. Quite unique. Walking through towards the dining area, I noticed that there was a Russian band playing music and singling. Seemed to me like I was going to get my boggy on! Do note: the dining area is a banquet hall type of an area. The food was amazing, they kept bring verity after verity of different tasteful (mouth watering) foods. I highly recommend coming here to either enjoy a great time by the lounge area or have small or big parties/occassions. A+ 5 STARS read more

One of the best Russian restaurants in LA. My hubby and I come here almost every weekend. I love their ahi tuna and salmon sashimi, the price is $30, but it's so delicious and absolutely worth it! That is a great place for not very big banquets. In our case there was live music, everything was very delicious, and looked pleasant. Great, friendly waiters, and the service is great in general.
