Wow I went to tiki no tonight a bar I've been going to well over a decade. The bar staff is…read moreexcellent at what they do. A gentleman named J was at the door very nice polite I've knows for years. Upon walking in I was informed I needed to have my id scanned like I was about to take a flight. As a bar owner and person that's been to thousands of bars I understand the rules and requirements of checking id before entering or being served. I don't have a problem showing my id for the door person to check. On this recent night not only did I have to show my id ( which is the law) I had to give my id to door person to scan, scan really scanned. I'm 58 years old. What about me says do a deep dive on this guy's id. Pretty sure every person in the bar could guess I'm over 21, 31,41,51 and a few might guess 61. How insulting. How incredibly insulting to every regular over the age of 35. As regular customer for over a decade at least I feel like I've earned the respect and the courtesy of not having my id violated as a regular and a person that qualifies for senior discounts. I guess ownership is determined to ruin tiki no just like they did with the firefly and the powerhouse. In my humble opinion the tiki no ownership would be better served trying to create demand for new customers and not just being demanding of longtime friends and customers of tiki no. Maybe they should hire a monkey to stand out front to attract more customers. Everyone loves a monkey. Maybe the GM could do it. The one thing the only thing I now like about tiki no are the people that work there and worked there in the past. Hats for hiring well, even a blind squirrel finds a nut. Oh a regular is a person that regularly spends money at your business. If I wanted to be insulted I'd call my ex-wife.

Fun decor, thematically appropriate old films on even older tv sets, an AC that works when it wants to... I was particularly wowed by the mugs they serve/sell. I collect them, and wouldn't expect Tiki No to boast such quality options. Hats off. No food, but they welcome outside eats. Bring in a whole thanksgiving turkey, they won't care. Just don't make a mess. 4 stars. Expected less, got more! Nice staff.

It's become so much more than just one of our favorite bars and every visit reminds us why we keep coming back. The biggest reason, though, is the people. Hospitality is something that's hard to fake, and the team here does it effortlessly. From the moment you walk through the door, you're greeted like an old friend. Over the years, the staff has created an environment that feels welcoming, comfortable, and genuinely personal, and that's something that's become increasingly rare. Matt, Sabrina, and the entire team are all such gems. Scott also deserves special recognition. He's a huge part of what makes The Rendition Room such a special place. Whether he's introducing a new cocktail, sharing the story behind a spirit, or simply taking the time to check in, his passion and care for every guest shine through. It's people like Scott who transform a great bar into a place you truly feel connected to. On our most recent visit, we tried the new Decade & Debauchery cocktail, celebrating The Rendition Room's 10 year anniversary, and it's phenomenal. Balanced, and beautifully executed. In a city full of great bars, they have managed to create something much harder to find, a sense of community. After all these years, it still feels just as special as the first time we walked in.

Loved their happy hour prices - from 9pm to 10pm all the cocktails were only $11. The place itself doesn't look as fancy as it does on the owner's Yelp photos, but it is still a decent bar to hang out and dance at. And the music was just right!

This last time, I was treated so poorly by the formally known as Temu Prince bartender. They wore a bell long sleeve (like Prince) that was so gross getting into the drinks and garnishes it might as well have been a rag. I arrived at 10:45pm and didn't get a drink until after 12:15am because Prince was overtly ignoring me. I watched them serve several people who came to the bar after me. There was a couple that saw my struggle to get a drink and they offered to buy me a drink which was so sweet. Get this: in the middle of a full bar waiting for drinks, this bartender stops everything, to spray into the air over the garnishes and drinks - an awful smelling tropical spray. And of course, never saw them wash their hands afterwards. It would require them to roll up their long sleeves. Like it was so obvious Prince didn't like the alternative crowd and really didn't want to be at work. It did feel a bit discriminatory but maybe not? We will never know. Bar back was more attentive and kinder than the bartender. I wondered if this person thought I was someone else that perhaps wronged them somehow? I have only seen this person working here and they're pretty mid of a bartender. I work in a restaurant too and it was very unpleasant to finish a 10 hour day of work to come here and be treated like this. I like Skinny's but if I saw this bartender working again, I would skip a drink, say hi to my friends and probably leave. It makes me upset to know this person was acting like this to me and my friends who actually put on the events there bringing people in to make this establishment money. I hope this bartender has had a better day since then. If you don't like goths, don't work the goth night.
