We attended a wedding ceremony & reception at Pearl recently. We had a great time at the reception…read moreand it was special to witness the ceremony. Pearl is located on Glenoaks Blvd in Sun Valley. It's in a random strip mall next to Daniel's Tacos and other businesses. The ceremony was held in a smaller room to the left of the main banquet hall. There weren't enough chairs for all the guests and some arrived later, so there was a good contingent of folks that had to stand at the back of this big room. I also thought the chairs were just way too close to each other leaving everyone having to sit elbow to elbow, if not staggered like we had to in our row. Not the most comfortable way to sit, especially next to people you may not know prior to the event. I think for the particular ceremony we went to, a little less chairs in each row and spaced out a tiny bit but adding more rows instead would have been a better way IMO. The banquet hall is nice and spacious. Some similar elements to other banquet halls in Glendale and Burbank. It was spacious enough for a dancefloor, many tables that sat 12 people each and space for a photo booth & a DJ. There was a lot room and that was great. One thing we couldnt get over was how cold it was inside the hall. To the point where everyone kept their jackets on, the men & women. Haha... I guess there are worse issues to have. That being said, heading to the dance floor was the right move cause you will freeze otherwise. Food was good. Similar to but way more choices & offerings than other Armenian/Mediterranean/Persian-type banquet halls. There were way more mezzes and choices of grilled meats. The mezzes were dolmas/sarma, 5 types of salad from crab to grilled vegetables, hummus, tzatziki & bread. The grilled meats were beef and chicken barg (chunks of meat) as well as beef and chicken koobideh (ground meat). All the food was good and everyone at our table seemed more than satisfied. Basmati rice and lavash bread was of course served with the charbroiled meats. The staff was friendly, efficient and kept our table cleared of finished plates & serving platters, as well as filling our water pitchers quite regularly. That was very much appreciated. Overall we had a great time at Pearl Banquet Hall and I would recommend it. Valet was $15

I think most people realize banquet halls throughout Los Angeles typically provide mediocre food by…read moresubpar service and an overly bougie/gaudy atmosphere. To my surprise, DeLuxe is rather classy with decent food and fantastic service. Our waiter was constantly checking on our table, bringing us food and drinks as we needed or requested, clearing and replacing plates and silverware, and even serving us when we were fully capable of doing so ourselves. The place (including bathrooms) was clean, modern, and in good shape. As for the main event - the food - there are just so many plates on your table you won't even realize what you forgot to eat or try. The "good" on our list included all the kebabs, the fish was amazing, chicken salad was surprisingly good but also surprised to be there at all; the mutabbal wasn't half bad; olive "salad" was amazing but spicy; fatoush was okay, baked mushrooms with cheese were delicious, and the licorice green drink soda something was refreshing. However, there were some downsides to the food as well. The sarma, boreg, and fatayer were just embarassing and tasted bad/bland. The bread was stale and dry, the muhammra was a joke to Syrians and the shrimp was just a wast to be there. Overall, a pretty good location!

Tuis venue is located in Little Armenia. While we did not book this venue, we did neet with one of…read morethe owners to tour it. She was rather patient and accomodating. The hall itself is quite a hidden gem. Impressive given that the exterior needs updating as it is located behind a former Meat Market. The inside is full of old charm, elegant, sophisticated, and classy. There is a small dance floor and stage. There is uplighting and the set up offers an intimate setting. The outside patio offers privacy. It can use some work, but is nice overall. There is ample parking. The price for what was included was great! included was great! The downside is that the venue is very quaint and it would be difficult to navigate, interact, or dance with guests in a large ballgown. Also, we may have a larger number of guests than what the venue can accomodate. I will definitely keep this venue in mind and recommend for smaller events.

Read before booking …read more... I really wish I had read the reviews before coming here. Maybe the ownership has changed but completely got ripped off. We did my grandmothers one year memorial here. After coming from Orange County to give the deposit, they assured me we wouldn't have issues. The day of the deposit, some random kitchen worker came to assist me. She told me the owner Sako wasn't available and had something come up. So I didn't think much of it. Granted my mistake was not getting the paper from the owner. The lady added my name to a professional yellow post it (sarcasm intended) and said it's taken care of. When I told her I didn't want issues and I wanted an invoice she said she couldn't assist me and again assured me that it's all fine. Come the day of May 21,2023 these liars took an additional $300 deposit and $300 serve fee which WAS NOT DISCUSSED. The issue here isn't the $300. The issue is the moral and character of the ownership. The food was whatever and so was the price. Had I known he was of been this way I would never. I am glad it happened with 40/45 people. Granted none of them or us will provide them with our business again.

They set up our chairs and cocktail tables for us. When we arrived we didn't have much to do but set up the additional small things we had. I had a milestone Party at KUE. Overall, I had a successful and pleasing experience here…read more The event space is tucked away off the street in an industrial area of North Hollywood - south of the Burbank/Vineland intersection on Vineland. I found that this space and surrounding area were fine for my event purposes - a milestone Birthday Party. I'm not so sure if the surrounding area would work as well for a formal Wedding event if that's a consideration. The actual space itself is very pleasing though. I had looked at several other event spaces - ranging from Golf Club Bar spaces (manager did not reply till I did a Yelp review - see my review for this place), rooftop Event spaces (more expensive per hour) through to more formal, claustrophobic Wedding spaces. After a walk thru appointment of KUE, I found that the hourly rate was decent ($250 p/hour), as well as the inclusions- several tables/chairs, a partially nicely decorated interior, a couple of outdoor areas and no noise restrictions! Street parking and limited parking in the driveway area (after business hours) to KUE was ok. The main contact at KUE was Brenda whom was polite, pretty responsive and professional throughout my dealings - including contract signing, questions regarding the space and recommendations/helping organize vendors. My Bartender and another vendor providing additional cocktail tables/stage/linen (interestingly paid via the KUE zelle link, but whatever) were recommended from Brenda. The contract included 1hr for setup. I utilized this at the beginning before my 5 hours of use (6pm-11pm). There was a $200 cleaning fee on top of the 5 hour rate. I was also required to put all tables and chairs inside the event interior space upon exit. My event went well. I am a Musician, so I performed with fellow Musicians to guests of maybe 75-80 ppl, a Bartender and Taco guy. The space never felt cramped at all and could support more ppl. For KUE, I would recommend that some more outdoor power outlets around the space would be very useful. To counteract the gloomy industrial area I would even suggest a stylish oversized KUE sign at the front entry. For prospective Clients, I would suggest that anyone looking to book the venue be aware of the strict time requirements. Part of my deposit was taken (OK'd by me after a discussion with Brenda) because we were a little overtime getting all of our decorations/decor/equipment off the space (15-20 minutes after 11pm). I was proud of my friends and family for helping (and helping the caretaker) , exceeding the requirements of packing and cleaning up tables/chairs/space. We were out before the caretaker. I think that a 0-20/30 minute grace period (if effort was made by the client and not affecting cleaning) would be in the best interests for the management to adopt - in the same way that Hotels, rental car companies etc do already. Again, overall a very good experience.
