I wish I had looked at reviews before I chose them. I went for an ultrasound that was ordered after an er visit. When my doctor got the report, the technician just said "no ovaries found." I clearly have ovaries. I just showed the technician a CT scan that referenced my ovaries. They charged me almost $400 out of pocket for an ultrasound that is completely unusable by my doctor. I've been calling for 2 weeks trying to speak to someone and no one will take my call, return a phone call, or acknowledge me in any way. They should be embarrassed to treat people this way. I've launched a complaint with Tennessee Health Facilities Commission. If you feel like you have received an inadequate quality of care, inadequate diagnostics or communication failures regarding Premier Radiology Cool Springs, you can call THFC at 877-287-0010. Update: THC is escalating my case and referring me to the Office Of Investigation for Health Related Board, where I'll have to file a complaint against the tech and the radiologist. There's zero reason it has to go this far, but Premier is refusing to engage. This is madness. read more

This radiology group has been extremely disappointing. Report turnaround times are slow, and the staff members I've spoken with on the phone have been consistently unprofessional and discourteous. It's difficult to understand why any physician would choose to refer patients here when there are likely better alternatives available. In my view, this ultimately reflects poorly on the referring provider. If you have the option to seek imaging services elsewhere, I would strongly encourage requesting a different referral--I certainly will in the future. read more

I wish I had looked at reviews. I scheduled a routine mammogram. I completed paperwork, including current address. Premier of Cool Springs sent my bills to my former address. After a few months, when I finally was notified of the bill- I was sent to collections. Incompetence. I paid the balance via check, even though their billing requested me to give them my credit card number (to their customer service in the Phillipines). Ascention St. Thomas and Premier have gone downhill. I'm finding new doctors elsewhere. read more

The front desk staff is absolutely horrible and rude. I was rescheduled at least 7 times. They rescheduled me the last time due to weather, was told they'd call to reschedule and they never did. I was there 20 mins before my "table time" and said they had an issue with my order. I got it rectified myself and they refused to even look for the order when I had my office just re-send. It had been sitting at their desk for 20 mins (as reflected on the time stamp) and then told that I had "missed my table time already" (this was literally 22 mins after I had gotten there and 2 mins following my "table time"). Then spent another 20 mins waiting to print the order so I could go to my designated spot to even wait to be seen for my MRI. This ended up being an almost 2 hr process by the time I got there to leaving. And they told me "we will see if we can even fit you today" as I had to ASK for them to print off my order. They forced me to "miss my table time" due to their own negligence refusing to check for and print off my order that was sitting there. I highly recommend going anywhere else. read more

They do not accept insurance ... even though my insurance has said they will pay for it! I begged them to submit this bill/service to my insurance company and they absolutely would not. Premier Radiology only wants you to pay upfront. The technicians are fine and did my CT just fine. The people at the front desk and billing are just so awful! Do not go here! I repeat do not go here! My doctor was on the phone with them for 3 to 4 hours to just get the radiologist results ... it already had been two weeks and they were not even looked at! Trying to speak with someone by phone at the Cool Springs location is impossible.... I had to go there in person twice to try and get them to file this claim with my insurance company. They charged me for two ultrasounds when I just got one on my care credit card. Then they told me they didn't know how to cancel it or refund me. Now I have another $82 in pending after the first one was posted. So I might of gotten overcharged three times instead. Waiting to see if that charge post too. All I know to do is dispute the charges and keep going back to their office til they fix it cause no one is taking my calls to fix this either. This review is for the 2323 Crestmoor location-- Dr. Leverett was an absolute nightmare to speak to. She was incredibly demeaning and condescending in her tone. Furthermore, the staff is not well trained, I was misquoted multiple times and left in billing chaos not to mention the emotional chaos after speaking with Dr. Leverett. Do not go to Premier Radiology. I wish I would have listened to these reviews and followed my gut. Dr. Leverett already has another poor review mentioning her attitude issues on healthgrades.com. I would not recommend this facility to anyone who may have some freedom in choosing their provider. Unfortunately for most, their service is a necessary evil. From my experience and that of others who have expressed their frustration, the staff here is incompetent. I made an appointment and unfortunately the earliest they could see me what 2.5 weeks. Frustrating but nothing they can control. What they could have done differently is very my insurance provider ahead of time to make sure I was in network; not after I arrive and check-in. They also needed to secure the physicians order and expected me to have that in my possession, which I did not. All the information I had regarding the MRI request from the provider, was relayed to them at the time of my appointment scheduling. Without that order, they would have made me reschedule, which would have likely delayed this scan another 2+ weeks but fortunately I won't have to deal with them any longer, and I will be seeking out another facility in hopes of receiving better care/attention. I also relayed this information to my doctor, who said I am not the first person from his practice to complain about this issue. He will be looking for another solution for his referral base as well. Dreadful experience. Run, don't walk to a provider that cares about patients. Mixed up my first and last name from the appointment booking all the way through the procedure, and now it has created a nightmare with billing insurance. Called this week to straighten out, and was told the office manager "Taylor" would promptly return my call. Never happened. The actual service that I obtained here was great. The team was punctual, friendly, and accommodating. The problem has been with billing. When I went to check out, they pressured me to pay the entire balance for services rendered before even determining what my insurance, BCBSTNP, would pay. When I declined to do that, they backed down. Subsequently, all attempts to get an itemized bill were not accommodated over a three month period. When I finally received one, three months after the date of service, I attempted to set up a payment plan and they were unable to assist me with that, telling me that the entire balance just needed to be paid in three equal instalments, no options whatsoever. So then I attempted to log onto their online payment portal and was unable to. I tried to total of three different customer service representatives and no one was able to accommodate me. They did, however, threaten me will collections. I cannot recommend doing business with ANY branch of Premier Radiology, as I called three different locations in an attempt to resolve this satisfactorily and no one was able to help me. First impressions matter. The front desk is the first point of contact and sets the tone. This was the first clue that excellence was lacking. In addition to rudeness of the first 3 employees we had contact with, the waiting room was dated, dark and did not smell well. A little kindness and a smile go a long way. Such an awful experience. I was scheduled at the Brentwood location, after waiting almost 3 weeks they call the day before and let me know they don't even do that procedure at that location. Then they schedule me almost an hr away. I then reached back out to my Dra office and they suggested a closer location. I set this up and then called Premier and cancelled my appt that was so far away. They called me yesterday to confirm my appt (I cancelled). I told them again I was not using them and why. Now they are not releasing the insurance approval so I can have my test done. No one calls me back. So, I am having spasms that mimic heart attack pain and I cannot have the test needed to diagnose and help me because of this company. read more

Front desk was ok - nurse was awful - first time getting a mammogram and she kept telling me she needed to retake the image - operator error - really annoyed and expecting proficiency - too much to ask for apparently. Again asking over and over if I am okay is not a great way to keep people calm that is obviously not okay - recommendation - find a different location with a nurse that knows how to take a good image the first time. read more

I contacted Premier Radiology for a quote on an annual 3D mammogram. I was quoted $98 without insurance, which I paid the day of my appointment. Eight months later I receive a statement for an additional $98. I could have gone elsewhere for less than what they are attempting to charge me now. It's extremely frustrating when you were quoted over the phone what the charges would be. Lesson learned that I will always get emailed information prior to scheduling. Reaching a live person at this location is horrible. I've been trying to call them for over a week. The phone rings and rings and rings. Does anyone work there? Are they truly this understaffed? The day of my appointment, one of the radiology techs went from staff member to staff member explaining what a horrible weekend she'd had and how she was concerned she'd contacted covid. Seriously? Every patient in the lobby listened to the same conversation over and over. Meanwhile we could have been waited on. And then maybe, just maybe, charged correctly as we'd been quoted. Had to call 6 times to reach a live person, no VM , phone just kept ringing, when I finally got a person, made appt told person for mammo. Arrive, told only 2 D done there, OLDER equipment I guess, told ok. The staff indicated MD wanted 3 D but that was from a script from PCP back in2018 but since no script needed I was not aware, so I said 2 D fine. The staff tells me I can go to yet another place but I said no, I'll go here had rearranged day so go for it. Waited and waited then 61 mins later another person starts to insist I go to a 3D equiped place. I said NO, am here, raining, just do it, I'll deal w MD Now my question is Why in 2021 are are all centers not equipped w 3 D ? Why is this info not given out at time of call the center has 3 or 2 D orbit so patient can decide Seems pretty simple to me Well, yet again, lousy customer service. Can we blame Covid? read more

Despite the above saying I'm in San Francisco, I'm not. I live in and am referring to the office in Franklin, Tennessee. I despise this place. The receptionist is rude, they don't even bother to answer their phone, and if you have an appointment at 10:00, you're lucky if you're seen by 11:30 or noon. My advice: don't go there! read more

The techs here and the Radiologist were awesome. The front desk staff though, god awful and very rude! Not just to me but to the elderly patients that were there to be seen too. It is quite appalling. For such a nice area of Franklin ( I live in Murfreesboro where the Premier staff is amazing) the front desk staff needs to be replaced immediately. Help those people to get a job at the gas station. Teach them a little customer service, respect and empathy too. They also failed to read my orders to hand me my disc before I leave so I had to go all the way back to get it and had the same shoddy front desk treatment as before. We tried to call on the way back and I kid you not. the phone rang for 10 minutes with no answer, no voicemail, nothing. Make some changes folks. This is awful. read more

I scheduled appt, for mri, was told (after waiting an hour) that I needed referral for my insurance to pay. So, I made appt and went to the ortho downstairs to get a referral ...the ortho office rescheduled MRI for me over a week later (earliest available). At this time (over a week later) they still do not have verification of coverage from insurance because insurance just got paperwork yesterday and they take 72 hours to process. Diagnostic Imaging called at 4:00 today (Friday) to let me know and to cancel my appt at 9:00 am tomorrow morning.. read more

Due to this facility being the basically only radiology place around not many have any other choices, They are not doing well social distancing people especially at the hermitage location. I arrived at my appointment early and still they are behind and having me in their waiting room more time than I wanted to be exposed to other people. They take your temperature which means absolutely nothing with covid people can have a common cold symptoms and have this virus One lady took her mask off to cough to beat all REALLY! I would give this imaging center zero stars if it were possible. Against my better judgment a year ago (10/12/2020) I went outside of Vanderbilt for imaging services thinking I would save myself some money with my HSA. I found Premier listed as in-network with Aetna and they were about $50 cheaper for a simple ultrasound (axillary) service. I was due for a screening mammogram ($0 copay no matter where I went) and figured I'd have them done at the same time. Unfortunately, my experience was not worth the minimal savings. It's been over a year and I am still receiving invoices because their staff is so incompetent they cannot figure out how to bill the radiologist's claim with the correct diagnosis code(s) (they got the facility claim right that they got paid). I'm a clinician and have been in health care for over 25 years. I have my compliance certification and many medical coding certifications, I understand the entire revenue cycle process for inpatient, outpatient provider based departments, and professional billing. Nobody reached out to schedule the appmt. After numerous failed attempts, I called a different location and they confirmed that the Aspen Grove location had issues with their phones, they received a lot of patient calls not being able to get through. But, she was able to schedule the appointment for that location. When I arrived, the registration staff couldn't have been more unwelcoming, curt, and rude. The mammogram technician was put out that I showed up for the screening and failed to bring the disc with images from my last mammogram (well over 3 years prior and I was told by the scheduler as long as I knew where I had the prior study they would call to get the films with my consent to release). While I'm partially undressed and waiting to have the test (I was the only one there) the technician told me she had to get permission from the radiologist to proceed with the screening without having my prior images with me. She made me feel uncomfortable, I should have gotten dressed and left. Needless to say, permission was given and I had the ultrasound after and went on my way. A week later a letter came informing me of an abnormal finding with the screening. Not a phone call followed by a letter but a letter only. Long story short, my PCP didn't think it was anything to be concerned about but to be safe, a diagnostic study was next (which now is an expense to me). So upon my return to have this, I had part of the study but the diagnostic test wasn't scheduled correctly and so the ultrasound that is part and parcel to the diagnostic service, was never done. The ultrasound technician was already booked and couldn't fit me in. The radiologist assured me that they didn't think what they were seeing was a concern, that I didn't need the ultrasound but he would discuss with the radiologist at the hospital specializing in mammogram imaging to confirm. They called me later the same day and told me the test was clear. I tend to believe the technicians technique played a role in my having to proceed with the diagnostic test in the first place because it was just on the right side. And then the bills, one after another started flowing. And yes, one yet again today, well over a year after the service date. Shortly after receiving the services I tried to connect with customer service. Thinking they are affiliated with St.Thomas I reached out to their customer service department to share my experience. The woman who eventually returned my call informed me that they didn't handle complaints for Premier Radiology. In fact, she never heard of them . At that point, I was tired wasting my time and effort trying to locate someone who had the ability to affect change based on my experience. Enter Yelp, although this is untimely, I should have done this a year ago. We all have the ability to use various platforms like this to elevate experiences, positive and negative, to inform others. Lastly, I want to mention the open registration area. While waiting, it made me cringe for other patients to regurgitate their personal information to the registration staff including their SSN. This is a HIPAA violation. I put my headphones on, I couldn't stand to hear it. Don't ask me to give you my personal information where other patients and registration associates (who have no need to know), can hear. However, I find it appalling these days for any provider to ask patients for their SSN given the sensitivity of and hurdles we are ingrained to go through to protect this. The moral of the story here is Premier Radiology may not be the wisest choice and if that's where you land, set your expectations low to spare yourself disappointment. If you save a little on imaging services with them, the frustration you may endure afterwards isn't worth any savings. The old adage, "you get what you pay for" certainly holds true here. If I could give zero stars I would. Lady at the front desk was more than rude, condescending, loud, extremely unprofessional, and could care less about patients. She was upset that we did not have a pre-certification from our insurance, which really was her job. After we got home, the precertification paper was in the mailbox at our house! She was upset that she had to. " call the insurance company!" And told me 2 times to "go sit down." we were scheduled for one procedure at this location and one for the Brentwood location, both in the same day. The technician had the two procedures backwards of what they told us, and said she could not even perform them because one of the machines did not have all of the equipment that it needed. She knew that we were upset so then she came back and said that she. " thought that she could do it anyway." She said it would be a "different way to go about it but result would be the same!" I have to say that she was nice And kind but by this point, our trust level was gone. We declined to have the procedure here because we did not want to have to come back and have it redone. Needless to say, my husband and I both had our blood pressure raised by this experience . We felt like we were in the twilight zone from the minute we walked in! Do not go to Premier Radiology! I have been here two times, both first appointments in the morning and both huge waits. They told me to arrive at 7am both times and they didn't even come to open the office until 720. Both times, there was an excuse of, "bad traffic." Then I was told that my appointment was actually at 8 which was wrong...both times it was scheduled for 730 so I could get to work on time. Really convenient location for me, but I will choose a different place next time. read more

I had my first mammogram at Premier when I turned 40. I was called to come back in for a second look. The imaging and ultrasound techs were great and personable, and I appreciated that the radiologist reviewing my films ended up calling me himself later to change his initial opinion on how I should proceed with my care, showing me that he personally was giving my case more than just a cursory look. HOWEVER, I will never go back to Premier if given the choice. At the Cool Springs location, there is no such thing as privacy. The folks at the desk loudly told a man all about how they can't do anything for him if he couldn't pay so much that day (he was trying to establish a payment plan). Mortifying for him, and not helpful at all for his care. Scheduling is a joke, there is always a wait. The person that called me to schedule my follow up gave me NO information other than I needed to in for more imaging, didn't care, didn't give me a way to find out what was found so I spent a week freaking out about cancer. With HIPAA, I understand she is limited to what she could say, but when you're telling someone they're getting bad news, have a heart, maybe offer to put them into the radiologist's voicemail to request more info. Something other than apathy. I had biopsies and additional imaging done at the St Thomas Midtown location, and again, the doctors and techs were great, but admin is awful. Despite three visits within a couple weeks, each one requiring my insurance card and drivers license upon arrival, Midtown Premier billed one of my procedures to an old insurance policy they had on file - it was with a different carrier and in my maiden name from over 10 years prior. What?! They also never mentioned that they weren't in-network for me when they verified my coverage - which is on me as the policyholder, I should have checked before accepting my physician's referral to Premier. So make sure you do your research before going, and then go somewhere else. I've scheduled my next imaging appointment at Vandy, hopefully I'll have better luck there. read more

Every time I go, I wait for at least an hour BEYOND my scheduled appt time, last time there wasn't a single other person in the waiting room the entire time, and saw no one coming and going. Each time has been for a quick 5 minute procedure. On top of it, they make you come in 30 min early even if you've been there before "in case they might need you to do some paperwork". If you request a certain appt time, they'll say that's fine, but they'll always schedule it for 30 minutes after your requested time. So if you ever have to go there, make sure you have your whole day free. read more

The front desk staff was not friendly, not ok with a walk-in (which my PCP told me to do), and seemed more concerned with talking to each other and talking about patients when they walked away than the patients in the waiting room (which was not crowded). The practice itself is decent enough, but their billing department is absolutely horrific. I called with a simple question about a charge I didn't understand and the woman I spoke to was unbelievably rude, condescending, and unhelpful. I had never received any communication from Premier regarding an outstanding bill, but was suddenly sent to collections over it. I had no idea what was going on because the collections agency left very vague and scam-sounding voicemails that were so sketchy that I assumed they were fake. It was such a terrible interaction that I will never be using them again and will be steering people clear as much as I can. read more

Gave them a second try because they are associated with my Orthopedic. Collected a $500 deductible for an MRI, my insurance has no deductible or copay for radiology or labs that are associated with an office visit. I had to call for a refund. The technician was ok, but no one has ever said I can keep my shoes on for an MRI and sure enough they had metal in them and had to be removed. I no longer have much confidence in the facility. The ones who check insurance have gotten it wrong both times. read more

I asked upfront "how much will this cost me?" Their answer was "$431". I didn't think I needed an MRI but went ahead and did it. I then get a bill for an additional $700! They said the upfront cost was an estimate. I told them I wouldn't have done it had they explained that to me. And additional $700 is not an estimate. I called and complained several times, they were no help. Started sending me collection letters. Their lack of caring and customer service is appalling. I do not recommend this place. read more

After reading the terrible reviews from others, I was a little hesitant to go here for a mammogram. I went there today, with no appointment, at about 1:00 pm. I checked in and sat down. In about 15 minutes, I was called for more information and told I would be called back shortly. While waiting there was a great assortment of coffees, bottled sodas and water available as well as a television. The waiting room had comfortable chairs and a pleasant ambiance. Before long, I was called back for the procedure by a pleasant, friendly technician. I left approximately one hour after arriving. read more
