I recently had to undergo an HSG test following a season of loss. Due to many imaging centers in Nashville no longer offering this procedure, I scheduled with Vanderbilt Imaging. While the staff were friendly and professional--which I do appreciate--the overall process was frustrating and unnecessarily burdensome. Vanderbilt Imaging requires a pregnancy test be completed before the appointment, but does not offer it on-site. This means patients must coordinate a completely separate appointment through their doctor beforehand. In my case, this turned what should have been a straightforward visit into a half-day ordeal. I've had this same test done at another center in Nashville where the pregnancy test was handled in-house. It made the process smoother and far less emotionally taxing. An HSG is already an intrusive and sensitive procedure. Patients deserve a streamlined, one-stop experience--especially in the context of fertility testing and loss. I strongly urge Vanderbilt Imaging to reconsider their policy and begin offering the pregnancy test on-site to better support the people they serve. read more

Since I left a bad review before, I can definitely come back and report on a positive experience. I ended up back here because I'm in the Vanderbilt system of doctors and they ordered testing at this location. The girl who helped me check in (I'm sorry I couldn't remember her name) was very helpful. I was scheduled for two tests that were hours apart on the same day. They, without me asking, arranged for me to have both things done while I was there instead of having to come back for the second test hours later. I waited a little bit but that was way better than having to come back. The ultrasound technician seemed thorough, the MRI team and the technician were all very nice. I had a good experience and wanted to correct my previous review. Whatever changes they've made are working. read more

What a mess this place is. I had an appointment at 6:10 in the evening. I arrived 20 minutes early. When I went to check in I was told "somebody tried to call you between 3 and 4 p.m. We don't have a tech here to do your CT Scan." There are so many issues with that sentence. 1. This scan determines what type of 2 spinal surgeries I need to have at my surgery scheduled in 2 weeks and the classes I'm required to take prior to the surgery that I take in 2 days. 1 is a 6 week recovery. The other is a 3 month recovery. Obviously it takes a whole network to cover some one while they recover. We all need to plan accordingly. Missing this scan has the potential to push back surgery and derail a lot in my family's life right now. 2. I don't have any missed calls or voicemails. I have the text message confirming the appointment and my "yes" reply from 5 days ago. I asked her to read the number to me. Yep. Still the right one. Clearly no attempt was made. 3. What do you mean you don't have any techs? It's literally the only service provided at Vanderbilt Imaging. Why are your doors even open? 4. I'm being told they called to cancel my very expensive CT Scan 3-4 hours before my appointment. If I cancelled with such little notice I would be charged 1/2 of the full bill. (Insurance won't pay for it.) If I didn't call or show up (or said that I did call, but there wasn't a shred of evidence) I would be on the hook for the full amount. 5. "We don't have any techs here tonight" is so unprofessional. With zero notice or attempts I think a brief explanation is in order. What I hear you saying is we, Vanderbilt Imaging, scheduled and confirmed this appointment with you and just didn't care to honor it. I would never ask to divulge into the tech's personal life. I just think under circumstances like these it's more appropriate to say "I'm sorry our tech had an emergency and had to leave right away" rather than essentially "screw you." Honestly disappointed is an understatement. I'm having spinal surgery in 2 weeks because I have tons of pain in my neck. Heading to a CT scan is anxiety inducing enough. Paying a sitter so I can spend an hour driving to be stood up for an appointment I desperately need is infuriating. This experience leaves me with one recurring thought. "Is this the right place for my operation?" read more

I had an excellent experience today for CT and in the past for an ultrasound. Nurses/ technicians were quite kind and offered explanations every step of the way! I think I sat in the waiting area a total of 10 minutes. The lobby was clean, up to date, comfortable with my fav HG-tv on the television. All in all, a very pleasant visit read more

My advice is to choose another location if you can. My 1st appointment I waited over an hour in the waiting room because they were running behind only to find out THEY FORGOT ABOUT ME! When they said I would be next, a woman who had come in after me threw a fit and said I had just walked in and had not been there. They took her and asked me to stay. No way! I rescheduled. This appointment I was asked to arrive at 7:40 am for my 8 am appointment. The staff didn't even arrive until 8 am! Those of us who had early appointments had to wait in the lobby until they decided to open the office door. There were no apologies, no friendly greetings, just dead pan faces. I had a mammogram in early December. I was not informed until January that I need a diagnostic mammogram, and had to wait 3 weeks for an appointment. When I got there, they had not gotten my films from last year, because they had tried to get them from the wrong hospital, and instead off calling me to find out which facility to call, I went in for the appointment, and was told I had to go back AGAIN after they had the films. It has been a week now, and I have not heard back from them. I will not go back. I will go to a hospital to start over. read more

I cannot comprehend how this business can schedule radiology appointments a year in advance and cancel them a week before because the radiologist has chosen to change his/her schedule! We are customers of the business and this business has no regard for us! We are at their convenience! Now all appointments regarding the mammograms needed have to be rescheduled! I am extremely inconvenienced, and disappointed that a health care facility has more regard for its staff than its clients! I don't know that anyone voluntary goes for an xray, ultrasound, or mammogram... and that's pretty much what they do here. I have visited twice, and since I don't really have a choice where I go for a particular test (my doc wanted a more intensive version that my regular provider does), I end up here. Again. The building and parking are fine, but when you get into the office, there always seems to be a line waiting at windows for service by one staff member... and three or four other staffers are behind glass windows with the "Next window please" sign. Call me crazy, but I thought we were the customers, and maybe, just maybe you should check us in promptly. Once you finally get checked in, you wait in a waiting area that's just... OK. The chairs don't match, some are more worn that they are supposed to be, there is a tile "path" that curves thru a carpeted lobby... it's just sort of weird. I think if you're in Cool Springs, and your equipment is the latest and greatest, maybe you could take a little more pride in your lobby... that's just me. They take you back and if you have to change for your test, the changing rooms are like closets with this weird formica-topped bench that has formica lockers on either side. Again, weird. You change into your lovely gown and have to lock up your belongings in the weird locker and take the key... presumably someone else changes there, too, and uses the other locker. On my first visit, I had a gripe that only women will understand. After a certain squishy test where you are forced to remove all sorts of product from the top half of your body... when you go to change back, you expect some deodorant in the changing room, right? Nope. Not on visit #1, but I will say there was on visit #2... so I'll chalk that up to bad timing. The techs doing the tests and nurses were fine, uneventful really. It's just the overall vibe I really don't care for.. but my only other option is at 100 Oaks... and when I tried that, I felt like cattle being processed for sale, so I choose the weird over the livestock. read more

So sitting here in this small uncomfortable waiting room Listening to people coughing up a lung while front desk people just hang out behind glass enclosed check in. I feel like one of those pandemic movies whee people are safe behind their glass enclosure trying to have as minimal contact wth others as possible. No I don't want to use the check in kiosk! I don't want to stand for 10 minutes entering info it would take a live person whose job is to check in people a minute to do. I don't want to touch something a dozen sick people have touched all day and if I could stand for 10 minutes I would not be here getting X-rays of an injured leg. BUYER BEWARE!!! For Heaven's sakes, ask them how much the procedure costs before having it done. I had to have a diagnostic mammogram due to pain, and the bill from the clinic-AFTER INSURANCE- was $600!!!! $600 for about a half-hour of ultrasound work, on top of a regular mammogram. Services are fine but the billing dept. needs special attention. Card was lost and I have to call them every month to get them to charge correct card. Absolutely care free but your the one who gets penalized at the end of the day. read more

If I could rate this Imaging Center any less I would. I had been having bad stomach pains and on September 5th I went here for a CT scan of my abdomen. The CT was so disturbing that they told me I was to go right to the ER. They told me they were sending the image electronically to the Williamson County Medical Center ER as well as the Radiologist report and they also gave me a disc to take just in case anything got mixed up electronically. When I arrived at Williamson Medical Center ER, they confirmed they got the emailed Radiologist report, but the image sent electronically was corrupted and could not be seen. I gave them the disc I had been given and it was a disc of a KNEE. Someone else's KNEE. They called the Imaging Center, but by now it was after 5pm and they were closed. Williamson Medical had no choice but to re-do my CT scan to confirm the diagnosis. This is an appalling mistake. Not only expensive, distasteful and hurtful to me, but it was a violation of that patient's privacy to have a copy of their medical record get into the wrong hands. That is a HIPPA violation. I have the testimony of the ER MD and my surgeon, who both saw the disc and were appalled that such a mistake had been made. After I was discharged from the hospital and got the bill from the Imaging Center, I went twice to the Imaging Center and meet with Jordan, Technical Supervisor and Umica, the over all manager. I returned the disc to them. I was told two times, they would send the bill up the line to be discharged due to the error. However, as of today, October 23, 2017 I still have an outstanding bill for this. I will attempt one more time to resolve this issue. Then, I will pursue other actions. These people are not to be trusted. DO NOT USE THIS FACILITY UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. read more

The Billing company of Cool Springs Imaging which identified itself as the Extended Billing Service office, was atrocious. They called citing I had not paid my account when I had. After providing proof of payment, and them confirming the payment. I was contacted months later stating that the account was now being sent to a collections company for non-payment. I was told to fax proof of payment, which I did. When I called back, I was put on hold for a total of 54 minutes and the line was cut 3 times. I was then sent to a collections company that stated they had no knowledge of such an account and sent back to the Extended Billing Service. The put me on hold again, disconnected the line, and were still unable to resolve the account. read more

Do not go for a mammogram. The dressing closet is between the reception area and technician area. You are ushered in and out of this high traffic area in a gown braless holding your purse. People are lingering asking questions/lost etc... When you come out of the mammogram you are carrying your purse and trying to keep your gown together in the back. When I came out, a man was lingering asking the technicians questions while I was trying to get back in the closet to get dressed. I would not say the staff was rude but they were not what I call engaged with the patient or friendly. Reception staff was more concerned with shopping online. I work for an urgent care facility in the area. I called to get a stat ultrasound, which the Cool Springs facility agreed they could do. When our patient arrived, they were turned away and told they were down a machine and a technician. Literally 15 minutes after I confirmed the appointment! When I called back to inquire about this, a manager told me the patient chose to leave after finding the wait was 2 hours. The patient says this is not true. All they were offered was a 2:30pm appointment the next day. Very disappointing! read more

Terrible Billing Service. 20 months after an MRI a sheriffs deputy knocks on my door and says you owe this minor amount. No communication beforehand. No contact. Nothing. Take your business elsewhere. They do not use the Vanderbilt billing service purely to increase profits at the expense of customer service. read more

I found the staff to be pretty cold which is the last thing you want when going to any healthcare provider but especially when you're going for imaging services! Often times the services are being provided during scary times for the patient and a welcoming smile or friendly front desk person or tech would only serve to make the patient experience better. read more

Avoid at all costs. Arrived today for a mammogram. There were three closed checkin windows with people sitting at them watching arrivals try to figure out how to check in. One poor patient tried to get help and was directed to one of the closed windows. Five employees were visible watching the people trying to get help. Attitudes were snide. Go to Williamson Medical center for a mammogram. I won't be back here this is no way to treat people. read more

Beware of the this place which sends extra bills after paying what has been accepted and won't accept to what they said and sends the bills for debt collector who charges 40% extra over the bill sent. Also the accounts dept will hung up on the customer calls and tries that it is patients mistake. I will be requesting my doctors to refer me to another place if any of those services required due to these problems. read more
