Was informed he couldn't come back for a week. After sitting for a week, the hot tub had lost most of its water without the pump in place. I had to call again, to find out when he was coming. I informed him there was not enough water in the hot tub to start it, and it would need to be filled. This is what I came home to. Pump was in place but unfastened. I spent an hour after work fastening the pump down, replacing the insulation and finding two screws to replace the ones that were missing in the panel. Absolutely do not recommend.

Oh , I found a…read morefantastic family business that sells pools and spas!!! We went to this store back in November 2019 and looked at hot tubs. The employees are so friendly (even if you say your from Ca)! I found myself very comfortable and relaxed talking to them. Our house was not finished yet so we said we would be back in spring. After about 6 months we decided to head back after our HOA approval and talk to them again. They remembered us after a few mins and stepped right in to help again. So see, since Covid 19 a lot of stores shut down and business is back ordered with so many trying to get caught up. Our choice was a custom build or buy what's left on the floor. I fell in love with the one on the floor and we grabbed it! It's beautiful, everything we wanted. These guys came out did a land assessment and electriciancame out to make sure we are already to go!! This business is part-time with the owner operating from his home with his son apprenticing. I had…read morea walk-in shower temperature mixing valve that was failing and I couldn't get the handle set screw removed to inspect it. This rounded out the Allen head socket and I informed the owner about this when I scheduled. First the good. The owner scheduled me directly for a few days out, availability was good. He kept the appointment on time and communicated that he was on his way. He is competent, experienced, and licensed with the State of Idaho. He fixed the problem by replacing the mixing cartridge but had to destroy the handle to remove it because of the set screw damage. The finish quality is good. The bad: he is not totally transparent about his pricing. When scheduling, I asked what his hourly rate was and he refused to disclose that, telling me that he prefers to work on a unit price basis and gave me an estimate of $325 for the job with a $175 call-out fee minimum. When he arrived, he determined that he would have to drill out the set screw and buy a new shower kit (head, finish nipple, faring, valve handle, and valve faring plate. At that point I should have asked him what he was going to charge for the extra work. When he was done with the job, he paused, contemplating what he was going to charge me and ended up doubling the price. He did not detail the cost of materials or time on the invoice so there is no way of knowing if he marked materials up or whether he was covering time until his next job. So, if you want a competent plumber but one who may take advantage of your situation and charge a price with a comfortable profit for him at no risk, then he is your man. I was probably overcharged (on a competitive basis) but the job was only a couple of hours so it was limited in any case.

Matt and I were both placed in a tough situation because of a mistake by my insurance company. We…read moreboth went endlessly around and around with the various claims representatives before we were able to talk to one another to directly resolve an outstanding payment. As a few of the reviews mention, Debbie's customer service was fantastic during the fiasco. Unfortunately -- as other reviews also mention -- Matt's customer service toward me was disappointing. Given the great experience I had with Debbie, I (naively) had zero doubt that Matt and I would find common ground given what we had both been through the ringer with the insurance company. I was even hopeful that he would be open to meeting somewhere in the middle to handle the outstanding payment. Sadly, when Matt called me back he was immediately argumentative and frustrated toward me because of his poor experience with my insurance company. I was honestly shocked by his disregard for customer service, his lack of basic cordial discourse, and for the lack of empathy for the situation that we were both thrown into. I told Matt I was surprised by how he was talking to me considering I had no part in any of the mix up. He said "Sorry, I'm just a direct guy". In the end, I paid the full bill. I am not writing this review because of the situation itself -- we both got the short end of the stick from the insurance company and I understand the situation Matt was in. I am writing this review to make prospective customers aware of how Matt chose to conduct himself as a business owner. The Yelp description uses the phrases like "taking care of customers" and "provide customers with the best service". Unfortunately this was not my experience.
