You can tell the staff genuinely cares about pets and customer experience. The store itself is very welcoming and thoughtfully put together. It honestly gave the ambiance of a Whole Foods-type store, but for pets -- clean, aesthetically pleasing, and filled with unique products. Side note: they have the most adorable selection of greeting cards, plus little freebies like stickers and lollipops for humans lol. I also loved their pet grooming setup. This store has a greater selection of cat toys than any other store in the area. What I am shopping for is either in stock or they will order it and send a notification when it comes in. They always greet customers as they walk in and are very helpful. The selection here is better than on Amazon. And I like that they express appreciation for your business. They have high quality products, but you have to drive to multiple locations because they don't have the same products at each location. I am starting to buy things online so I don't have to deal with several trips per week.. the items they have on back order I can get on 123pet the next day. Some of the raw bar items are very old, I practically have them memorized and see the same items there for 2 months, not fresh. It would be nice if they were able to 'order' items per your request, but they're always in some sort of flux, never consistent between locations, forever trying to get sync up but it never happens. I have been shopping at Premier Pet Supply for years, first at their Beverly Hills location, and then switched to Novi when they opened. I absolutely love it there. Brandon knows me by name, and when I have issues with my fussy eater, they have always helped me with exchanging the food without a problem. The products are top notch, and the prices are comparable to online. I am sad to see negative reviews, as I have never had a negative experience there. It's a packed store full of everything you could need for your pets. The store associates are welcoming and helpful. Now I'm stuck with a 33 pound bag of dog food their saying I did not purchase from them, and that I can't use. This is the only place I go for my cat's food and supplies. They carry quality products and the staff is friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable. About 6 months ago, I went in and asked about my cat losing weight because he was picky about his food. They took a lot of time showing me different options for picky eaters and suggesting some that they thought might help. And they were right!! He loves it and put the weight back on. I purchased high-end dog food and other supplies here for over a year. They claimed to keep track of the number of bags purchased, but their opinion on whether I had reached 12 and could get a free bag differed depending on who was at the register. Also, their system apparently isn't linked to their other stores, so those bags weren't included for me. I found the manager's handling of the situation rude and lacking in gratitude for my loyalty. I set a reminder on my calendar to stop in today because of the sale. I've been in several times and the entire staff is so very informative and beyond friendly. They take their time and answer all of my many questions. I kept telling my husband how awesome everyone was so he met me there with our Morkie Gia who is a very picky eater. Great for a small business pet shop! Prices are reasonably comparable with other stores, even the big name ones, and when they're often very willing to price match where they can. Great, unique selection of items, treats and toys for your animals, and a very diverse and high quality selection of pet food. Sure, they offer some of the generic brands you can find at other pet stores, but the other brands that offer a bit extra for your animal are also available. And if there is an item they can get but don't stock they'll special order it for you and give you a call when it gets in! The 'do it yourself dog wash' has been a lifesaver when my dog has gotten skunked! The best thing about this place, though, is the staff! They're all very knowledgeable in regards to the products they sell and the needs of a wide variety of animals, and super friendly and helpful. read more

My family and I have shopped here quite a bit since they've opened. Mainly because they carry healthier brands of pet food that we appreciate. It has never been because the employees are friendly whatsoever. The younger girls that are there are sweet and helpful for the most part, but the old grumpy frumpy Oompa Loompa women are real idiots. Rude, and absolutely no type of personality for customer service. They carry tons of Overpriced items, but saves us a drive out of our way, as this store is closer to our home. We have also purchased a bunny rabbit for my daughter from here that I was told was from a rescue....well, after we bought him I became curious as to how old the bunny might be, and at our next visit we asked one of the employees who then told me they weren't sure and they would have to contact their breeder. Ok, nice, I would have rather he had been a rescue. So I was lied to. Then I was told I would get a call with the date of birth info. It's been 2 months, never got a call. So today. Again with the rude Oompa Loompas, we were never acknowledged as customers along with another lady waiting to be helped. We were looking to get a few fish since our old man Betta had died recently. My 4 year old excitedly asked if the hedgehog had a name and the lady pretty much rolled her eyes and walked away acting super duper busy being ridiculous. My Fred and I stumbled upon this store a couple of weeks ago. We are new to the area and I was excited to find a local pet store so close to our apartment. This is a very nice store! TONS of non-chain food, plenty of toys and snacks, and they even have a dog wash station. Probably we won't use that too often (as I end up having a bath just as much as Fred), but it's nice to have nearby. We picked up some cookies and then got to talkin' to the gal who was at the counter. I happened to mention that my husband and I are interested in switching our dog's food out and she went above and beyond with samples for us to try. So kind and generous! We now have plenty for our boy to try out before committing to a new brand. This is definitely a store that we will frequent. We are learning that Michigan is not as dog friendly as Texas us so we will visit those stores who do welcome dogs as often as possible. read more
