The staff at Premier Pediatrics are undoubtably the best of the best. My questions or concerns are always answered immediately. I can make an appointment using the Klara app before the office even opens. Any paperwork I need filled out for school, the office fills out with a quick turnaround time. Which in my opinion, makes any fee worth it. My daughter lived in pain for the first six months of her life, and if it wasn't for Dr. Aditi, we would have never realized she was lactose intolerant. I feel very blessed to have a group of doctors and staff who truly care about my children. I highly recommend this practice. read more

If you are looking for an evidence based, progressive (doctors who continue to learn from current research) and TRANSPARENT approach where doctors actually explain what is going on instead of expecting you to take their word for everything, look no further. They also spend a lot of time on your kids emotional and psychological development, which is so important and so helpful. The practice frequently engages professionals in other fields for live instagram or zoom sessions to learn about nursing, psychology, eating, gross motor development, you name it - and this is all free. They are staunch supporters of nursing, if that's your preference, and have a lactation consultant ON SITE. They really care about parents, especially those struggling with the newborn stage, and provide so much support and information outside of the regular well visits. They also use an app where you can message medical questions (and get quick responses) and make appointments. I can't say enough good things. I would never want to go anywhere else. Yes - the front desk staff is not as cheerful or polite as I would expect at a pediatricians office. They are quiet, and not eager to say hello to engage. But I don't come here to be coddled by the front desk. I come here for medical care of my children - and in this regard no one beats the doctors at Premier. We are relatively new patients of Premier Pediatrics, as we had our first child in early April. We have had a truly wonderful experience with the clinic across the board. The doctor's we've met with (Dr. Sarnoff and Dr. Patel) have both been great and clearly passionate about the work. We appreciate the text/app based messaging system for scheduling appointments and asking questions; far more convenient than most doctors. The physical space has been clean and quiet, and we haven't had trouble making appointments. And we appreciate the "holistic" programming - my wife had a positive experience with a lactation consultant in the office, and we recently hopped onto a sleep-focused Zoom session with about ~15 other parents. We've really enjoyed our experience with Premier Pediatrics, and look forward to working with them for years to come. read more

Wow I can not believe I am writing this. I would HIGHLY caution you against going to this pediatrician. My kid was just pulled out of public school due to their negligence. My child has been seen there for multiple visits this year including immunizations. I find out from the school that my child is behind on MULTIPLE vaccinations and I was never told this. I am in shock because I get my kid the flu vaccine early like in August and got the COVID vaccine for my kid a few weeks after it came out.... I had the office manager SCREAM at me and hang up the phone today saying "This is your fault you never scheduled a well child visit for your kid." What is amazing is that I was charged for a well child visit and despite the multiple visits I have had this year and last including one that I thought was a well child visit, I was never informed that my child in fact never had a well child visit nor was behind on immunizations. My kid is now missing school so we can transfer our care to another pediatrician to get my kid caught up. If your kid goes to this practice please be VERY VERY careful. I was told that there are many ways to do a vaccine schedule and my kid was all caught up. I had no idea how behind we were. Even worse I tried to schedule an appointment to catch my child up when I was notified by the school and thats when the office manager yelled at me and hung up on me. Can you imagine that I have been a patient of this practice for years? Agin please be very very careful with this practice. I am still trying to get the preventive care visit taken off my bill as I now found out that I never even had a well child visit for more than a year. Please take a look at the other reviews and you will see that I am not the only one who has had office staff yell and hang up the phone on a patient. Oh and another fun story about the office staff. I once brought my chid after severe croup and my kid has a nose bleed in the waiting room. While watching me frantically trying to stop a nose bleed the office staff was YELLING at me to pay my copay (which I had already paid online). I mentioned it to the doctor and they just brushed it off. Well its a good thing Im going to another practice because I truly can not take it here anymore. read more

I was shocked to see all the one-star reviews when I visited Yelp today! We have been using Premier for 9 and a half years ... since the day my son was born, actually. The first doctors I met nearly a decade ago were Dr. Weinberger & Dr. Julie, and when they came to visit me and my newborn in the hospital, I liked them both right away! They took time to get to know me and listen to my questions. It was very comforting! Dr. Weinberger is still our primary pediatrician, almost 10 years on. He's wonderful. He's still very reassuring, responsive to our questions, and thorough. He makes sure we're checking all the boxes in terms of keeping our son healthy, and takes the time to get to know us as a family. Dr. Deena was there for us as our son got his tonsils out, and she's very smart and friendly. Overall the practice meets our needs. Yes, they close early on Fridays, but they have recently extended their hours to stay open until 4:00 on Fridays and until 8:00 Mon-Thurs. They are not open weekends, but honestly I've yet to find a practice that is open. When in an off-hours situation, we've either waited if possible or gone to Urgent Care (or take him to their practice in Manhattan for an urgent visit). As for the comments regarding the front desk employees, they are fine! No one has ever been rude to us there. The nurses are really sweet and gentle with the needles too. I'd recommend Premier. The only downside is the PARKING or lack thereof; but I won't (really) hold that against them! The 7th Ave location was better for us before they moved; the new office is hard to get to without a car. And even with our car, parking is a nightmare. read more

Horrible experience. Staff rude and unprofessional. Office completely disorganized. I had a newborn appointment with my baby scheduled. Only the doctor left in vacation and no one bothered to call me to change the appointment. I took a cab at considerable cost with my newborn baby. When I arrived the staff told me the doctor was away and I should go home. When I complained to the office management about my experience, instead of addressing the issue, they denied that the staff did anything wrong, accused me of being untruthful, that I made everything up and told me that I was discharged from the practice and should go elsewhere. We came to see Dr Weinberger on a friend's recommendation when our daughter was born. Her initial doctor was in South Brooklyn and my husband and I were hoping to find someone closer. He even ended up giving her the 2 month shots - so we us all intentions of switching but ended up sticking it out with our original doc and speaking with the doctor about him being our back up. Yesterday my husband and kiddo (7 months old) walked over because she was feeling off and got a rash and the front desk wouldn't even entertain the idea of us seeing the doctor. We were told that because we didn't chose them as the PCP for our daughter we can't be seen. This was repeated over and over after multiple pleas and explanations (our doctor is on vacation and without a car this was way closer to get to). It took me calling from work and speaking to someone else to confirm that all that needed to happen was the other office needed to email or fax her records. But the rudeness and unprofessionalism of the front desk has assured we will not be coming back there. Seriously? Who turns away a sick baby when you have an empty office no less?! read more

My son is 2 and love going to Premier after a horrid experience with the hospital-based pediatricians. We see Dr. Sarnoff who is cheerful and friendly. At sick visits we've seen Dr Price and Dr Riffle. They're definitely not my favorites, but sort out my son's issues and he gets better quickly. I've never had any issue with the front desk staff, they are friendly, easily fit us in when we need a sick visit, and our paperwork is completed faster than the week they say it will be done by. The wait time is usually only 10 minutes or so. read more

While Dr Julie Gallombardo is great, the rest of the doctors, most notably Dr. Sylvain Weinberger, are quite terrible. Our 19-month daughter has been sick numerous times and we're always nervous about the doctor we'll get when we go to Premier Pediatrics. Dr. Sylvain Weinberger is by far the worst of the bunch. We're first time parents that ask questions and he's exceedingly condensding and short. Although Premier Pediatrics is very convenient, we're leaving the practice because of Dr. Weinberger. And if you ever have an emergence and call after hours to have Dr. Weinberger answer, brace yourself for a rude conversation. On the other hand, we love Dr. Gallombardo. Great bedside manners, answers questions (no matter how dumb) very pleasantly. read more

We usually very much enjoy our visits to this doctors office. The issue is that some office staff are not kind over the phone when you call in. I called in recently and spoke with the billing manager. Rather than empathize with my concerns regarding some vaccinations that my son needs I received a raised voice and harsh criticism. It wasn't constructive or helpful to myself and did not in the least make me feel like this pediatrician practice was concerned about my son's well being. Rather than partnering with us to help solve how my son can get his vaccines, we were dismissed and disregarded. I guess we will look for another doctor who cares about their patients :/ Unfortunately one person can make a lasting bad impression for the entire practice. Like any multi-physician practice, we have our favorites, but overall, Premier is a great practice. Our oldest child has had significant asthma issues and the team at Premier has been incredibly responsive. They will answer your middle of the night calls. All of my kids, nieces, and nephews go here; its not even that close to our house, but we are very happy with the ability to be seen quickly, minimal wait times, warmth and cleanliness of the environment, and the knowledge/bed-side manner of the docs and nurses. My husband and I love Premier Pediatrics! We have a 5 month old son that has seen Dr. Weinberger, Dr. Price, Dr. Patel, Dr. Riffle, and Dr. Julie. As we were looking for pediatricians, we set up a prenatal visit where we were able to talk to Dr. Price and ask him questions about what the baby's first visits would be like and other questions we had leading up to his birth. This practice has access to NYU Langone, and so they were able to examine our son in the hospital twice before we left. Our first night home from the hospital we had a little panic (first-time parents ;-) ) and we were able to easily get the on-call doctor in the middle of the night on a Saturday. I also visited their nurse/certified lactation consultant a few times - which was an amazing resource. Each doctor we've interacted with has been kind, approachable, and patient with any questions we've had. We highly recommend Premier Pediatrics! read more

I love doctors there, but front desk people are very rude and unprofessional. My husband was standing there to ask a question, while one of them was on the phone. She ignored him, so he sat down and waited for her to finish. After she got off phone, we overheard her say "can't these people see, I'm on the phone", to her co worker and they had a 5 min conversation about this. Also, when my child was sick when he was newborn, doctor told us to go to NYU in Manhattan. In panic, we gathered our newborn and our things to go to the hospital but forgot the address. I called premier ped in brooklyn and one of front desk people said she doesn't know and "google it or something". I'm sorry, you don't know what hospital your doctors are affiliated with? Why are you working here? And the list goes on... they need to get better staff read more

The only reason I go there is because this office is so close to my house. But then, if your kid gets sick on Friday or the weekend I guess you need to find another doctor because they are closed. I called on Friday asking for an appointment for my daughter who has a high fever and the receptionist tells me with an attitude they are closed, and then when I said that doesn't make any sense, she tells me with the most annoying tone: "Oh well, we are open until 7pm Monday to Thursday". What a joke, she didn't offer to connect me with a doctor or anything. I replied: "people get sick everyday, not just when you want to open". And then she says ok and hung up the phone. I'm changing doctor's office from now on, even if I have to walk a little bit more. Can't stand receptionists who consider themselves "the boss" and don't even offer any help. read more

This is a pediatric factory. The plus side is that they'll always do their best to squeeze you in for an appointment. Their philosophy is quite conservative -- one of the doctors actually advised a friend of mine not to take her healthy newborn outside for six weeks! It's definitely hit-or-miss. The more experienced doctors are solid, but very conservative. The newer doctors have a warmer bedside manner, but are, obviously, not as experienced. read more

Two extremely bad experiences here! ( and my fault for giving them a second chance) In both cases Dr Sarnoff directly ignored my concerns and very clear suggestions about what I thought the illness was, both times with serious results. First he delayed testing my daughter for Lyme for several weeks, although she had a tick bite and many diagnosable symptoms, until she landed in the ER with partial facial paralysis. Second he refused to have my son tested for Pertussis, although he had known exposure and was coughing continuously. I finally took him to a different doctor who immediately put our entire family on antibiotics and expressed grave concern regarding the number of people exposed to his illness in the previous weeks. Premiere Pediatrics is fine for ear infections and diaper rash, but for anything serious I strongly recommend you look elsewhere! read more

They answer all my questions thoughtfully and provide the very best care. I'm so fortunate to have chosen them while pregnant. The reception showed zero concern for my child. Zero. She simply said with a cold smile that they take patients only. I'm so surprised by all these negative reviews. We switched to Premier after a not-great experience at another practice, and have loved it. Both our kids see Dr. Sarnoff, and he is cheerful, efficient and calming. We've had a couple of health concerns, and he's taken them seriously, evaluating the kids and then getting them in with specialists quickly. The front-desk staff uses an online system and they always respond quickly on it, and I like it a lot better than having to wait for a nurse's call back like at my own doctor; we've called once or twice with after-hours issues and a doctor calls back quickly and walks us through it. Brooklyn office is clean and bright, we've never waited longer than 10 minutes for a scheduled appointment, and we've also never had a problem getting in for a sick visit. Really happy with Premier and Dr. Sarnoff. read more

I've been bringing my son here since he was a newborn (he's now 3) and have been very happy with the doctors, especially Dr. Weinberg and Dr. Gallombardo. They both took the time to answer our questions. We've never felt rushed. They've also been great with our son, putting him as much at ease as they could. Also, the offices are spotless, bright and cheery, and the staff is friendly. We've never had to wait very long either. All big pluses! The only downside is the parking, but we give ourselves plenty of time and always find a spot. That is the only reason why I gave 4 stars and not 5. read more

My son was going to the office on 25th street, in the beginning taken him there was a good experience, I called to get a fax number so I could fax over my son's examination form and both reps that answered the phone were very nasty and rude, Alicia as well as Liz, i then called over to the office manager office spoke with Shanequa and she places me on hols and tells me she will call the office and find out what happen because those ladies are the best she has and no one ever complains about them, not only did she not help me but she was not even hearing what I was saying, then she tells me if your not happy here go some place else and tells me that she will send my sons discharge papers out and hung up!!! Not a practice that I would recommend... I tried calling to schedule for a visit so that I can understand the structure / business practice when I were to give birth... The front desk mentioned I should have scheduled in 4-6 months in advanced.. How in the world would I know if I am a first time parent? I have been going to Premier for 3years now and my children have seen Dr. Sarnoff, Dr. Capiola and Dr. Blanchard. Every time I go, I walk out of there feeling like my children are in the BEST hands. From the moment we walk in, we are greeted by the receptionist. All of which are fabulous! Very welcoming and always smiling! I live in Staten Island and many of my friends and family think I am crazy for traveling to Brooklyn for a visit. I have been taking my children to Premiere Pediatrics since 2003. It used to be a great doctors office, recently they have gotten very sloppy and laxed in there care. I took my son in with a sore throate and was told it was just a virus. 6 days later I get a call saying he had a strep throat infection. In the mean time my daughter got sick and once again I was told it was a virus. with her they didnt even bother to do a strep test. when my son's test result came back posative I had to demand a strep test on my daughter, of course it was posative also. I should not have to call, nag and demand them to do the right thing. Every time I take my kids in they say its a virus...sounds like a cop out to me. read more

We have been coming to this practice for many years, well before they opened the office on 4th Avenue, and have been very satisfied with the expertise and service. All the doctors are top notch. The office staff have always been great with the paperwork for insurance, schools, summer camp, etc., but you do have to give them a little time. Dr. Weinberger is the Jedi Master of knowing when to go further with a treatment, or when to tell a nervous parent to relax because their kid will probably be fine in another day or two. read more

Dr. Julie is great, but the desk staff are frequently rude and dismissive. On a recent visit (to have a very routine form signed), we were greeted with hostility, and one of the receptionists was extremely annoyed that she had to interrupt her personal business to help us. The form, which literally took about 30 seconds of attention to complete, was filled out incorrectly by the nurse, and then we were charged for it. Very disappointed after 20 years. Our two sons have been patients of Premier Pediatrics for two decades. The practice was ultra convenient for us when they were on 7th Avenue. While the office staff was often abrupt, to the point of rudeness, we continued going because the office was close to our home and the doctors very professional and good to deal with. This week, I realized it was time to end the relationship. I spoke to the receptionist about an appointment for my teen son who is dealing with a difficult situation involving a girlfriend, stress and depression. The receptionist suggested an appointment with a female doctor I had not heard of before. I told her this would be an important time for my son to meet with Dr. Price, who had met my son numerous times before. Ok, she said, come in at 4pm. When we came in and I saw Dr. Price nearby, my son was asked to consult with the female doctor. I went to talk to her and she said "your son says he's depressed" and I said "yes, that's why we're here." She gave me a list of 30+ therapists and psychiatrists that we could speak to. When I asked her for a specific recommendation, she said "I don't really know because I just moved here from the Bronx." I asked her to go speak to Dr. Price to narrow down to 3 recommendations appropriate for my son - which she did, which irritated me still further that he had neglected to come speak to a long-time patient who really needed his advice. I'm sorry, but if this is what diagnosis has come to, you're better off with google or a self-help book over Premier Pediatrics.' I'm glad we have friends who can give us good recommendations, but am sorry to say that Premier Pediatrics is a poor choice for anyone in the Park Slope area. read more

The doctors and lactation consultant have all been good thus far but the negative front desk demeanor gives us good reason to find a new pediatrician. I find the doctors here are mostly excellent. Although some rush you. The administrative staff is disorganised and at times seems barely competent. Also the front desk staff member Shana is consistently griping and complaining, sometimes being hostile and aggressive to parents and generally unpleasant. Last visit she was on a long personal call at full volume - accompanying the perpetually playing Disney Channel on the large flat screen. . I think in 2017 we can be a little more sensitive to the subject of screens especially playing commercials and young children in a pediatrics office. I hope they make some big changes here and get more competent professional folks at the front desk. read more

This place was really disappointing. I'm sure the doctors are good but the lack of organization in this place is awful. We needed a referral to a specialist for our newborn. First the doctor told us speak to the front desk and they will set it up for you. Then the two people working in front looked at us like we had 2 heads when we asked them to do this. Talked amongst themselves for a few minutes about how the new doctor there was basically a dope amd didnt know the way they did things at this office. They assured us they didn't do that for patients, we had to do it ourselves. Fine. Then in a day or two we get a call from them saying they HAD set up the appointment and it was on the upper east side in a few hours from that time. We laughed and said we can't make that on such short notice. I thought you didn't do this for patients?? The doctor was quite the uninformed alarmist and said we couldn't wait, which made my wife pretty nervous. This persisted over a few days with last minute appointments. Mind you, we had already spoken to a surgeon about it and they told us it was fine , and the follow up was basically just procedure and nothing life threatening to worry about. We explained this more than once. Needless to say we switched doctors and the follow up was handled perfectly with no problems as predicted. Again i just want to say the doctors here came highly recommended but the lack of organization was so bad you will end up repeating a lot of steps for nothing. just fyi if you plan to drive here, good luck. I love this practice. My son is a year old. We've seen all the doctors, and are particularly fond of Dr Polizzi- though everyone we've seen has been great. The wait is seldom long (every doctors office has bad days when things get backed up or a doctor is out sick) and the receptionists have always been very polite. I find the doctors non alarmist, but appropriately cautious. No one made us feel like we were failing as parents if we didn't let our son cry it out during sleep training. I love Premeire-- and I feel like my son is in excellent hands. Highly recommend. read more

Premeire Pediatrics by far offers the best Pediatric care for your children. The doctors along with their staff really make you feel at home. From being checked in, to the visits by their doctors. They take there time, on both well and sick visits, to explain everything thats going on in your childs life. Dr. Jon and Dr. Julie are my kids favorite doctors!!
