We used Dr. Silverblatt for a couple of months with our new born before we moved. She was a fine Dr. except being super pushy with vaccines. We did follow the schedule (except for Covid and Hep B), but was still pushed and pressured. There is no research providing any benefits of a Hep B vaccine to a new born. This practice also has it mixed into the cocktail of all the other vaccine. read more

I feel so sad that this practice has such a mediocre rating on Yelp (due to a few bad reviews). This is a truly special practice that still operates like the pediatricians I grew up with. They take their time with you, they have doctors on call, you can usually get same day sick visits...When I had to pay out of pocket because my insurance changed,, they did not gauge me! They ran clinics for Pediatric Covid 19 boosters-- a service that was sorely needed when the boosters were still hard to get (I'm not sure if it was even profitable). Dr. Bea and Dr. Silverblatt at extraordinairily smart, competent and compassionate. I feel so lucky to have found them, and they will always have my loyalty. read more

We have been going to Heights Pediatrics for fourteen years. The doctors in the practice are amazing diagnosticians. They genuinely care about their patients and families. They continue to go above and beyond for their patients and the Brooklyn Heights community. I should note that they helped my son (who was diagnosed with a serious neurological condition) get a second opinion in Philadelphia. They made over 30 calls to help us get an appointment with this specialist at CHOP (in order for my son to be seen). I am eternally grateful for their help and support. read more

Best pediatrician in Brooklyn! Dr. Silverblatt is incredible - she's helpful, kind, honest, and helps you to take care of your kids in the best way possible. Her sense of humor also helps when in not so fun situations! Dr. B is so sweet and makes you feel right at home when you enter the office. The entire staff is so helpful and gets you in as soon as possible when you're in a time of need. I would highly, highly recommend taking your children here for their well visits as well as sick visits. You'll be in the best hands!!! Heights Pediatrics is like family to us. We've been seeing them for almost 14 years and in that time they have consistently shown us the utmost care, respect and knowledge on rearing our growing son. Their lovely new office is bright and colorful and the staff is always smiling and accommodating. They were super helpful and resourceful during the pandemic and were extremely dependable when it came to questions around sensitive topics such as the HPV vaccine, ADHD medication and just general puberty concerns. They are wonderful in working with my child and have been relatable to him as he matures and learns to manage his own health needs. I would highly recommend Dr. Silverblatt, Dr. Bea and Dr. Batool and their entire practice to any one expecting or looking to switch providers. I couldn't even get through the administration to see the doctor. The front desk team is terrible. First I had to tell them that they do in fact take my insurance, they called and emailed with a lot if administration confusion. And then they recently moved but have not updated their addresses digitally so I was late as we went to the wrong address. As I missed the cutoff time no one bothered to call & tell me the appointment was cancelled. If the front desk can't even get me in an exam room how can I trust them with my child. read more

They are simply the best and its only our 2nd visit with our newborn! The front desk staff are super helpful (they even helped me bring my stroller into the office). All the doctors are wonderful and I really love this small, attention-filled practice. They were the only practice when looking for a pediatrician for my baby who FaceTimed me personally on their cell phone to discuss any questions and also offered free (some paid, but worth it) zoom classes (childbirth, childcare, sleep and breastfeeding consultations) to prepare for my baby's arrival. My daughter came here of her 16 year old annual checkup. During the visit, I asked the doctor about her headache and she said "just drink enough water". Got the bill back and saw the charge the insurance didn't cover and learned that my question was not included at the service and I need to pay for it. I'm shocked as she is my second daughter and have never have this experience before, asking a question and you need to pay for it! be careful what you talk to the doctors here as you need to pay for it. read more

Heights Pediatrics was highly recommended to us from multiple family friends. Dr. Silverblatt and her colleagues have lived up to our high expectations. She is extremely knowledgeable, patient with questions and has a good-natured style to ease parent anxiety. We feel lucky to have found her. Three helpful things to know: 1) She offers a very popular new mom's group. 6 weeks for first-time mom's with newborns as a chance to get out of the house, meet regularly with a pediatrician and share experiences. 2) They have Saturday appointments. 3) If you need help with your stroller when you arrive, just call or buzz and someone will help you! read more

I have used this practice for over 14 years for my 3 children and I cannot express how wonderful and medically sound they are. Unlike other medical offices, Heights pediatrics has short wait times, and a patient and kind staff. Dr. Silverblatt and Dr. B are personable, thorough and meticulous. My kids love them, and they have earned my trust long ago. I recently took my daughter in at her start of high school as she was experiencing nausea and vomiting each morning. High school is a enormous adjustment and her a.m. nausea and commute started to impact her sleep and was becoming a viscous cycle. I was worried it was anxiety and I'd need to start taking her to a psychologist, which is not a problem but who has time for a therapist in high school! Dr. B spoke patiently with my daughter and explained that she understood her as to be stressed by the adjustment to taking the NYC subway, an experience she had been sheltered from through elementary school (as her school was a walk away from our home). She then suggested a mild anti-nausea prescription to help her body relax for a few mornings. It worked like a charm and she is now adjusting to high school beautifully. I was so relieved and impressed by the nuanced treatment I received. It was clear to me in this moment how in addition to their expertise this practice was one of wisdom and thoughtful medical decision making. I wish there were zero stars. How is this place even in business?! I'm new to the neighborhood and went here randomly because my son was very sick. I'm in disbelieve at how rude the entire staff was. There are no toys for kids to play with. There's no ramp to bring your stroller up the stairs. When I told the "nurse" my 8 month old has had a fever between 101 and 103 for the last 24 hours, her reply was "that's not so bad." I could go on, but frankly, I wasted enough time taking my son in. read more

I've been taking my children to Heights Pediatrics for over 15 years now. Dr. Silverblatt has a very curt bedside manner. Almost as though the relationship between us is adversarial as opposed to unified in the best interests of the child. Usually not a problem for me, as long as my children have been well cared for, I could tolerate it. Recently however, I took my son there for an injury sustained to a very 'delicate' area that was caused by a fall. The first day there, she told him to apply ice and to take Benadryl; which he did. She told him to come back the following day to see how he was doing. He did so and this time she prescribes antibiotics. My son is still in pain and at this point is walking like he just dismounted a horse. Dr. Silverblatt tells him to come in again on the following day. My son called first. Dr. Silverblatt tells him to go to the ER. When we get there, needles are being inserted into this sensitive area in an attempt to desensitize it. Imagine the pain my son felt and my torment as a parent to have to hear him endure this unnecessary torture. Ultimately it was determined that what could have been a simple procedure had he arrived days ago was now a matter that required surgery. The urologist who had to perform the procedure was furious. He said the doctor who initially examined my son should not have waited this long to recommend he get to ER. Had he been seen earlier, he would not have had to endure such pain and ultimately surgery. The urologist said that the swelling was so severe that we were fortunate that he wasn't turning blue at this point, which would have been indicative of the flesh dying. Needless to say, I'm actively searching for a new physician for my children read more

My daughter has been attending this pediatrician since we moved to Brooklyn Heights in 2009. I had her with Dr. Philippa Gordon in Park Slope but after our insurance changed she couldn't go there. I liked the warmth Dr. Gordon showed. At heights pediatrics, she usually saw the head of the practice, which is Dr. Silverblatt. She seemed friendly enough, and a good diagnostician, such as the time my daughter had strep. Competent, right around the corner, not much to write home about, but I was pretty satisfied. I offered my daughter that she could go to one of the female doctors in the practice that I go to. I had noticed a bit of a revolving door of doctors other than Silverblatt, but then Dr. B came and seemed to solve that problem. I also liked the fact that I could reach an on-call doctor at night when my daughter was sick. All was fine until a few days before my daughters 16th birthday. I suffer from bipolar and was manic or hypo manic. I had a recurring thought that my daughter had been raped or sexually molested years ago. This was a logical thought, considering my nuclear and extended family had concealed a pedophile in the family while he worked his way through the girls and women, and finally died without being exposed or brought to justice. So I called Dr. B, scared out of my mind and praying for my daughter to be ok. I knew that she was physically safe and with my mother. But Dr. B showed no compassion or warmth whatsoever. She said abruptly, I'm recoding this conversation. Then she said, sounding like she didn't want to be bothered, "how can I help you?" She said that she was a mandated reporter. I said I knew so, and that I was a social worker and also a mandatory reporter. She showed no love or compassion, only that underlying concern to cover her a - - and her colleagues a- -. I asked her what my daughter's 16 year check up would be like. She said that they would discuss shaving, birth control, etc., all things we had already started talking about. I felt my heart break a little more, as my daughter had said earlier that she wanted me to attend her check- up with her. I will not get that experience back. Do not go to Dr. B vulnerable, she seems very warm and homey and personable, but that is false. She will not respect the bond between you and your child and she will not help you read more

We have been going to Heights Pediatrics for over eight years now. All three of my children have received top medical care by the entire Heights Pediatrics staff. They are knowledgable, thorough, patient and kind. Dr. Silverblatt has personally overseen my children's development from infancy and has guided me through everything from breast feeding to lead tests, from UTI's to a febrile seizure, from transitioning out of a crib to discussions about schools, from basic illnesses to adenoid removal. She is attentive, caring and experienced - as a doctor, and as a mother herself. And all of my kids love Nurse Emily! My camp and school forms are easily processed and my calls during after-office hours are always returned quickly. The office is clean and fun (we like the butterfly room!) and well-equipped with books and puzzles and a glass piggie with tiny toys post-check-up. I feel my kids (and I) are given the utmost in care and compassion at Heights Pediatrics. We even all go for our seasonal family flu shots! Five shots! We wouldn't go anywhere else. read more
