This is only the second time that we've stayed in a premier inn. On each occasion it's been in England and we opt for their premium plus room.
This location is in a retail park with a cinema, a raft of eating options including all the places we avoid like Subway, Frankie & Benny's, Prezzo, Nando's and Toby Carvery.
It has an M&S foodhall nearby so fruit and healthy options were on tap.
All of the staff at the inn were polite and uber helpful. We regrettably declined dinner and breakfast as we've already spent 3 weeks on a cruise ship amassing tons of calories as gluttons from food and alcohol and have to cut down so mostly fruit for us for a while.
We also declined having the room made-up as we were only there 2 nights.
We used it as a base to tour the area using the local bus services.
Their in - room coffee machine delivers darn fine coffee, and the tea bags are ace quality too.
There's a fridge, complimentary bottles of water (still/sparkling) mini chocolate bars, a fair sized tv, really marshmallowy pillows in which to sink, a comfy bed, air con and a rainfall shower. We slept real sound.
They also offer a premium WiFi but in the two nights we stayed here it didn't work which was so annoying. The staff apologised but couldn't remedy the issue.
We highly recommend this welcoming place but one tip - if you are touring England with a car - car parking can be a real challenge and even if you succeed you may find the cost prohibitive.
Also fill with fuel before you go on the motorway network to avoid being robbed blind and pray you don't get ill as the government has wilfully destroyed their public health and dental services. read more
