Parking: There is a small place that fits 3 cars in a single lane off the road for unloading bags. Parking is valet only. There is a lot of foot & vehicle traffic in this area, making it difficult to back out. Service: Very kind staff that is eager to help, whether you're at the bar, breakfast, check-in, or concierge desk. Breakfast: 7 to 10. Not your standard breakfast... There is so much well-prepared food that it is worth the stop.

White and wheat toast with a variety of jellies and jams, coffee, tea and orange juice also came with the breakfast. Everything was cooked very well. The meats were all a bit salty, as you might expect, but everything was quite good! The dining room is very small and tables are right next to each other. Very cosy. My co-worker was put into a suite that had a claw foot bath tub, a separate shower, and a large king-sized bed. My room was slightly more traditional European room in that it had a small stand-up only shower, no bath tub, and a Queen-sized bed with a nice armoire in which to hang my shirts and pants, and a great chest of drawers for the other clothing items (socks, undies, etc...). The hotel staff is overwhelmingly friendly and helpful, and the breakfast and dinner are actually pretty appealing considering it is hotel food and a hotel restaurant. Overwhelming positives: (a) Get a high room (5th or 6th floor) and enjoy the ridiculously stellar views of Cambridge. I am not kidding. The views are the bomb-diggity. (b) The hotel is connected to a spa and gym. You get a free membership to the gym with your stay in the hotel and you get a discount on the spa treatments. (c) Within walking distance of everything... and I mean everything. This was a really great hotel and spa experience in the UK.

Chris the host is so accommodating! This is a self catering apartment and yet on arrival there is bread,cereals,milk and orange juice so that's breakfast coveted. There is also free wifi and a brochure with lots of useful information in about the city. He communicated with me via email/text from the initial booking and was very understanding when I arrived over an hour late to pick up the keys due to signalling difficulties at Peterborough. Everything in the flat is of a high standard from the towels to the bedding. It is also the comfiest bed I've slept in! The size is impressive and way better than you would ever get in a hotel suite. All I can say is this would be my number one choice on return to the city!

Cons: No lifts/elevators for older people to walk up. Also, the wifi here is quite spotty and I had to sit in odd corners of my room to get a decent signal. There was kind of a lack of available outlets to charge my phone and stuff. I think the price for the room would be better if discounted by 20-30% and I think doing an AirBNB might be a better option the next time I visit Cambridge...but next time I'm in a bind for a room, I wouldn't mind staying here again.
